Itaka flinched as Seph plucked the thorns out "Take it easy nurse Seph," he said "This place does make a good training ground I suppose, I get a workout and you magic types can study all you want" he said.

Zadina rolled up his sleeves "Ok...let me try it!" he said as energy cracked around him causing his hair to stand on end before a gigantic bolt of lightning launched itself in front of him before branching out and pummeling through bookshelves and branching further to fill the hall. When the spell was over numerous cactuar fell over from behind the bookshelves with squeaks. "How many are there now?" he asked Satoshi.

Oassu frowned "Thats kinda sadistic..." he muttered hearing about Hayate's antics.

Mari sighed "No fair Zadina leave some for me" she sighed picking up Sophia again. "The temperatures fine Oassu quit your whining" she muttered.

Felina smiled placing her hands on Oassu's shoulders "This should cool you down" she told him as the blue aura surrounding her began to spread over Oassu "It's a mixture of my aura and a frosty spell so I hope it doesn't make you too cold. Now lets find us a cactuar before Zadina kills them all." she whispered all but the last line.

Satoshi hesitated opening one eye "In this corridor... I would guess about 9 hiding in the sand" she told Zadina pointing to different parts of the ground where each were located. She reached for her bag taking out a shuriken and throwing it into the top of a cactuar who had been peeking at them "make that 8"

Hayate waved his hand dismissively "I pulled legs off spiders too. I had one of those angry phases." He took up his bow and fired it into the sand causing a cactuar to jump out the sand in fright. He fired a second arrow into the creatures head before it had time to respond further "See these things are still cowards at heart."

Seph ducked as a catuar jumped out shooting 1,000 needles at her from behind. "I know you have enough skll wise Itaka, but sometimes it doesn't harm to have a few surprises up your sleeve." she grinned rushing at the cactuar and sliced through it diaginally.

Hebal used mighty guard in front of herself forming a wall to block the cactuars needles "I don't feel like revising that ability, it really stings. Why not ask Satoshi to teach you to throw things" she suggested to Mari.

Alpha "You've got to be quick, these guys avoid being in close contact" he told Mari finishing off the cactuar Seph had cast stop on. "I believe thats 3 more in this little area to go" he muttered scanning the area.

Itaka smiled "What do you think I should learn then Seph?" he asked her while keeping his eyes trained on the cactuar.

Oassu snapped out of his trance "Sorry wasn't focusing," he glanced at the remaining cactuar scurrying away "They have weird looking faces don't they?" he said as the cactuar moved towards another cactus.

Mari shook her head "I'd rather not, I dislike throwing things away even if I'm not using them," she glanced at her blade which glowed dully "I suppose when Hojo is in better spirits I'll be able to use a ranged attack again." she said happily.

Zadina giggled as the cactuar started doing backflips by the cactus "They are kinda funny little things" he giggled before the whole cave suddenly shook. The Cactus rose out of the sand revealing the 20foot cactuar beneath sporting a powerful mustache.

Felina gasped looking up at the cactuar "That one looks weird with the moustache" she whispered to Oassu forming a protect spell around the two of them along with Zadina and Mari. Cid meanwhile cowered a little diving back into her bag.

Hayate raised his head and watched as Fred prepared to launch his needles at the group. "Yea. Thats not an attack you want to be hit by. Would no doubt cause a slow and painful death" he stated calmly forming a barrier in front of him and Alpha "Consider us even" he whispered.

Satoshi grabbed hold of Itaka and Seph telporting them out the way as a spray of needles came heading straight towards them. The three of them reappeared to the side of Fred. The ninja pulled out her sword and took a slice at Fred's leg.

"Stupid cactuar. we can finish him off later" Seph grumbled casting stop upon the little creature. "Now to get on with the big one and try a few things out" she grinned using gravity upon Fred.

Alpha shrugged watching the needles bounce off the barrier "That was nothing really but fine" he whispered back to Hayate. He stepped out from the barrier once the needles fell onto the floor. He picked up a crab that had been scuttling away under the sand and lobbed it a Fred.

Hebal removed the barrier as the attack settled down "Trust me you don't want a moustache like that" she giggled rushing forwards at Fred while the crab distracted him. She jumped up and dug her spear into the top of his leg.

Fred squeaked as the crab hit him harmlessly before going into a series of front flips, with Itaka and Hebal still attached to his leg. When he stopped Itaka let go of his sword "Woooooah...that was like...some mega trip" he said before falling sideways dizzily.

Mari swore hating herself for a moment before getting up and charging at the flipping cactuar which suddenly stiffened.

Zadina squealed "Look out he's going to fall!" he cried as Mari charged towards it.

Oassu smiled and brushed his chin "I need a shave anyway" he glanced at Fred "Hold on for a moment" he said dashing and tackling Mari to the ground where Fred slammed into a second later.
