RevlinHeartsblood alright, sounds easy enough so... i know rules wise, color means d**k, and only hard core players would make a big deal about this should i bother painting up my white marines grey? or just stick to the color scheme i have now, play them as SW and tell any fanatics to suck it? IMO paint them gray. Its actually easier just to base coat them gray their primary color is Fortress Gray, with of Space Wolves Gray. If it were wolf scouts you could probably get away with it and call it cammo. Also you could always make your own Space Wolves Second Founding Chapter

Okay, while going through my Codex: Space Marines I noticed that the Honor Guard cannot take terminator armor, I was wondering if this can be taken with no additional points cost.
the reason I ask is because I am ordering Commander Carab Culln Chapter Master of the Red Scorpions Chapter and I'm going to give him an honor guard squad.

If the codex says no then it's a no. Only thing to do is get a regular terminator squad and tack that stingy b*****d onto them.

Frankly, I'm glad they got rid of Terminator Honors. I mean, why would a Captain not already have them? Or a Veteran, for that matter?

Termie honors giving +1 A were cool... but I seem to see character-nerfing trend. No more 6 powerfist attacks on the charge...

Ianator Frankly, I'm glad they got rid of Terminator Honors. I mean, why would a Captain not already have them? Or a Veteran, for that matter? I completely agree. Those such guys would have at least multiple decades, probably at least a century, of hardened fighting under their belts and, as such, would be badasses deserving of Terminator Honors.

so, in the Codex they give the Veteren the +1 attack? i thought veterens had 2 attacks (in 4th E) and termy honours gave them 3

Return to his dusty tomes of 4th and 3rth edition marine codex. The anwser to the question; no, veterans have 1 attack in their base stat (both 4th & 3rth), Veteran Sergeants are made by buying an upgrade/terminator honour, and both codexes mention these lines;
1. Note that this bonus has already been included in the characteristics of Vet.Ser and any SM equipped with Terminator Armour, and therefore may not be taken again. (3rth)
2. Note that a single W model that has selected TH from it´s list entry cannot then select it again from the armoury. (4th)
The remembered 3rth attack bonus mostlikely comes from the fact that most players equipped them with a close combat/power weapon and a pistol, or perhaps a chapter banner / relic item granting the bonus.
On veteran/command squad, if you buy a TH/upgrade to sergeant to make him Vet.Ser, the rest of the units can also buy TH with a lesser points cost.

In 5th ed vets , both stern- and van- got 2 base attacks, so they basically get free termie honours. Independent characters are struck by nerfhammer, though, with best weapons getting "awkward" rule and pathethic number of basic attacks and no option of terminator honors...

So, in the 40k league at my store, Im in second place, yet still undefeated, I am 6 wins behind the leader who is at 10 wins. I want to play him this coming friday for bragging rights. But the thing is, I need a well made list. I was thinking, since I play SM and he plays Chaos Daemons, I would field some Grey Knights. So my options are: not to play any, a 5 man of grey knights, or a 6 man of grey knight terminators, one of course with the incinerator and the brother captain with psybolts in each. However, I am not sure which to choose, so I figured I would ask my fellow Gaians, which is you, so, input please!

combo deep striking termies with incinerator to some sort of guidance (homer/beacon) librarian can make your army much more effective with null zone - say: re-roll to all those invulbnerables!

Van Evok combo deep striking termies with incinerator to some sort of guidance (homer/beacon) librarian can make your army much more effective with null zone - say: re-roll to all those invulbnerables! I see your points and raise my own. 1st off, I wasnt planning on having them deep strike, I need them as soon as possible, and that isnt soon enough if I have to wait for them to arrive no earlier than the second turn. I do however like null zone, it is very attractive, it would perhaps mean that I dont have to spend the 50ish dollars I was going to to buy the grey knights, and instead just buy the librarian and just put in more shooty stuff. So now, the question is, put the librarian in terminator armor and put him with a squad, or just leave him in power armor and take a squad of scouts with a heavy bolter... Edit: my lists would look something like this either way: 2 Tactical squads each with heavy bolters, a predator destructor with heavy bolters, 5 sternguard of which 4 have storm bolters, and an Epistolary with terminator armor and a storm bolter Or 2 tactical squads with heavy bolters predator, sternguard with 3 stormbolters, librarian with nullzone, and 5 scouts 3 with shotguns and a heavy bolter
