Yikes - I hope your allergic reaction is healing up. I'm so glad I don't have any food allergies. Especially nuts! I'm crazy for peanut butter! lol

Wow Craftymama, that's pretty bad reaction. Good thing you didn't eat it.
I'm only allergic to milk and that just gives me bit tummy ache.

ooooh I know what thats like....with me its Mangoes. Christmas shopping for my brothers is a major pain in de bootay...they think money falls from the sky like rain rolleyes I have a classic word for them...waheva!!! lol

craftymama Taydom with that straight jacket on it looks like the shadow guy behind you is actually your alter ego coming out to play. eek That book was a cute idea Sagi! Nice job. I also thought Lana's picture was pretty. Well, I have reaffirmed that I am allergic to strawberries. My daughter was having some strawberry yogurt that had chunks of strawberry in it for lunch yesterday and grabbed the spoon. I thought it was cute so I let her play for a minute. She was doing pretty good but then flung some of the yogurt right at my face. It covered my eye (which was shut thank goodness) and part of my cheek. At the moment my eye swollen shut and the skin around it and on my cheek is blistered as if I've been burned! If it isn't one thing its another. Sheesh. whoah! talk about a hyper hypersensitivity reaction! hope it subsides soon...

A friend forwarded this to me via email today. You may have already seen it (or something similar) but I found it both amusing and kinda sad. lol
This was posted in response to someone complaining because a Winter newsletter offered Merry Christmas wishes to its recipients….
"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/
or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2009 , but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
By accepting these greetings, you are accepting the aforementioned terms as stated. This greeting is not subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself/himself/others,
and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. I personally am not religious yet I find the whole fuss about holiday greetings ridiculous. If you say happy holidays you're assumed to be against Christmas and if you say Merry Christmas you're derided for being insensitive to non Christians. I wish people could just accept whatever greeting simply as someone being friendly and wishing them well. razz

i personally prefer Christmas, as i believe Christ is the reason for the season, but i don't make a big fuss about the greeting used. it cheers me up all the same.^^
