Eclipsed soul Yes, free Ian biggrin heart Malee, you changed your hair :O It looks nice <3 Edit: Meave, you just want to change the base to an actual pink color, correct? *tries remembering post, doesn't skim pages* In PSP, there is a change target tool, if you just have a bald base, you can do it pretty easy in there :3 you'll just need to copy and paste the eyes on, because they'll turn pink as well. Example: Now...pinkish/purplish base :O Total time: 30 seconds I'm not sure if you have psp or not, but the change the target tool is under the side arrow under lighten/darker. All you do is pick the color you want than just draw over the picture in that color. Automatically changes it to a shade of that color :3 Meave know how to use Hue and Saturation, but Meave just want to be EXACT on the colour values. What Meave asking is from the pinkish skintone to the other 3 skin tone Gaia has....not...not that extreme pinkish. Meave detest unatural skin tones if not need be.(which means, Meave prefer natural pikish brown skin) xd

Meave: I haven't found a very quick and easy way. Going from pale to peach is fairly easy. You just have to adjust the hue a little bit. Going from peach to tan is harder. I generally do this by adjusting both the Brightness (Image -> Adjust -> Brightness/Contrast in PhotoShop) and the Lightness (Image -> Adjust -> Hue/Saturation) and then playing around with Colorize (Image -> Adjust -> Hue/Saturation). Most of the time I have to go back and color over the outlines because they become too saturated. They are more orange than brown. I have never had to create the dark skin tone, but I imagine it would be like the process for getting the tan color.
Keeping a copy of the official skintone near by would be a good idea, so that you can compare the original with your results. :3

Oh man.... I want to post what I've managed to make in photoshop for my class on here... but since the files are at school, I cant put them online... due to blockings of photobucket, imageshack, tinypic, Ect.
Oh well, I have an hour on the computer while I'm 'taking my test' (because, like the rest of the class, we all finished last period).

You're bound to get it pretty close with those tools ^_^

So Meave think Meri and You might have some other ideas on how to change skin tones. Do you not make a record on how much numbers you contrast and how much number you hue and saturated? Meave found it hard to match the original skin tones.*shakes head*

Miriam The Bat Bridgechan, when are you opening your monthly limiteds thread? Well, Jan. limited was already bought out in my old shop actually XD;; I was just using it as a template place holder. I guess I forgot to remove it o.o;;; But the next one won't be till Feb. which is almost complete :3 I'll let yu guys in on it a bit. It's not a traditional side view edit, it's a frontal view ^_~ And I painstakingly went and made frontal views of almost all of the gaian wigs and one custom one @_@! I'm thinking about doing the eyes, though the edit right now has closed eyes 9.<

You get lost in the counting when you're doing the little touch ups to make it close. I could have very well done about 20 tiny adjustments using all of the adjustment tools, heck it could have been 40. I spent about 3 hours on two of my little angel avi bases. Now, I missed this, but why were you needing to know how to do this? Were you trying to make custom base poses or something? <3

So then Meave need not adjust it mindlessly.

Speaking on the sense of different posing bases, here's the AB set I've collected. I used a few friends I had that had each one of these different skin tones and was able to get the arms. I used TekTek to make them nekkid: these are free for use because I love everyone ^_^ Enjoy ~ <3!
