Echo stood there, extremely bored. She sat down, on the rock that Jax had been on. She rolled her eyes, wondering where everyone had gone. "They probably ditched," she said, annoyed. "Oh well.." she shrugged.

-She closed her eyes slightly tighter- "I'm sorry."

-She took a slow steadying breath.- "But I hurt you and drew blood. I think thats more than enough to apologise for."

Echo got up after a few moments. Sitting around, watching the grass grow, wasn't her thing. She decided to exit Central Park. Walking down the same path as Jax had taken, though she had no idea, she encountered a strange sound. Another set of foot prints. *Odd* Echo thought. She stopped abruptly, and so did they, she sped up, and they did the same. *They're following me* The thought panicked her. She spun around, expecting to find someone there, looking back at her. But no one was. Turning, she ran, flat-out from the park. She didn't stop running until she hit pavement. Echo grew slightly fearful as she heard the footsteps return.

"Turn around. And drop your weapons." Came a deep voice, that sounded manly.

"No." Echo spat. She wasn't going to drop her weapons, for some idiotic stalker.

"Do it. Or I'll kill you." He said, growing impatient.

"Good luck with that." Echo retorted, as she returned to walking.

"I know what you are, and I know how to kill your kind."

Echo stopped, really starting to panic. She turned, to face him, and found a tall man, with a gun raised. The gun that was being pointed at her, looked menacing. Thinking of the only way out, she took it. "Liar!" she screamed, and she took off, running much too fast for the human eye. Much to her disadvantage, he kept up with her.

"I warned you." He yelled, sounding beside himself. Echo heard the gunshot, and turned to face it. It exploded into her chest, just missing her heart, and went almost completely through her. She shrieked in pain, as it exploded in an immensely bright light. *I know it can't kill me.. but..I can feel this.. I can feel it..* She thought, over and over, trying to stay conscious. Her eyelids, slowly closing, allowed her one last glimpse: Jax was standing with the girl she had seen earlier. At last, she sank into unconsciousness in the middle of the alleyway.

Echo tried to take deep breaths, but started coughing. Opening her eyes, "Jax.. where'd you come from? Where'd that b*****d go?" she asked, looking scared. Taking a shuddering breath, she sat up gingerly and looked down at her bloodied chest. "He got me pretty good, huh?" she grinned. Blood was still pouring from her wound, but she could no longer feel it.

"Hemophiliac? No way.. I'm just cool." she laughed, softly. "I'm okay.. I think." She looked at Jax and then back to her chest. "This isn't your shirt, is it?" She asked. Laying back, she felt the extent of her wound. She had just layed back in a pool of blood. Her own blood. "Oh god.." she whispered, and she sat back up, now completely soaked. "I think it went through.."

She laughed as he mentioned using his pants. "I would hope not." Echo turned her head, trying to see her back. "Is it worse than the front? Because, I think that's where it exploded." She shivered. "It was one of those new UV bullets." She looked to Jax, "Thankyou, so much. I'dve probably bled out if you hadn'tve come." She laughed again, "I'd hug you but.. seeing as I'm covered in blood, it's probably not a good idea."
