At times, I wouldn't mind living with my ILs to be quite honest. sweatdrop I did for a year or so when we were dating/first married.
suarezric, it might be that you are on PST time. Have you been to your profile, under account? There's an option to set it up for your time. I go by Central, but we have a lot of people from all over the world, it's just I joke that we all have to go by kid time, so it makes it hard to be on at the exact same time.

GeminiKizzy So how many of you parents still live at home with your parents - like me sweatdrop Hopefully we will be able to move out after I get my teaching degree but that is still at least a year away. I'm not a parent, but am living on my own with my boyfriend. I would hope against hope that I don't have to move back in with my parents, or any future in-laws if I were to get pregnant. I would if I absolutely had to, of course, but only as a last resort.

Well, It's so nice to here everyone doing so well. Hope that condo sells soon and that the job goes well. I just got a job too! Yea! It is only a side thing that I can do at home but any extra does help. A week and a half and the girls will be back in school. K is going to Kindergarten and Alex is in 1st. K is so excited to be going to "Sissy's" school she just can't stand it.
And let me just say. heart THANK YOU GRANDPARENTS! Without you my kids would not have as many clothing options for school. Your help is very apreciated. heart

Last night we were out at the beach until well after midnight trying to see the Grunion Run. Dang fish must not have checked MapQuest! They go by the full-moon and it kept getting obscured by clouds. Oh, well. We had fun splashing in the waves in the dark anyway. J thought it was a blast that he got to play so much while it was dark.
Tonight we are going to the circus. He is so into Dumbo that I'm putting my own prejudices aside and we're goin'. If I ever figure out how to post pics on Gaia I'll post some circus pics (didn't take the camera to the beach).

Gemini~ that beach adventure sounds fun. I love the circus! Hope you had fun.
On the subject of living with parents, we share a split level with my parents. At first we were saving for a house, then Alex got deployed, now I am having so much trouble with my health I don't know what I'd do without my parents. Alex is always at school or work, and now he's been gone for a month and a half. I am almost scared to get our own place. I lnow the kids will be heart broken with out grandma and grandpa. But we plan on always living close by.

I live with my parents.
There are times where it does drive me crazy. My son loves to be around his grandpa though.
That and I'd never be able to see my brother when he came up to visit.
That's one of the things that makes it hard to want to move. sweatdrop
One of the many things that is.

I don't know how my kid will handle it if we moved out and away from Nana and Papa even if it is only a couple miles away. My parents just got back from being out of town for a week and my kid has been stuck like glue to his Papa ever since - that's his buddy!

awww that's sweet. Yeah I think it's more natural to have family around. I don't feel like people are ment to be isolated. I other countries it's the normal thing to do to live with you parents (or have them live with you). It think it's great for childern to have lot of differant loving adults in there lives.

I agree and always had my family around. My hubby though whishes for the "Nuclius" type family. He grew up diferently. They only saw the rest of the family on major holidays. I saw mine all the time, and had a very close relationship with my Grandma. I also grew up with friends being considered family. He is not quite that sure of that. We make it work though. I kind of wish his Mom was closer. The kids have a great relationship with my Dad and wish it could be the same with his Mom. sweatdrop

I see my mom and dad every Saturday. We stay all day and have dinner, and last Sat. we went to the Farmer's market (I had "farmer's market" checks from WIC to spend).
My dad can be kind of a jerk, he's a little insensitive and I just could not live with him.
Besides my 21 year old mooch of a brother is living with them and I'm CERTAINLY not living with him. (I don't mean living with parents automatically makes you a mooch it's more the intent, which for my brother is spending all of his paycheck on pot and sleeping all day when he's not working. Lying about everything...etc.)

(I don't mean living with parents automatically makes you a mooch it's more the intent, which for my brother is spending all of his paycheck on pot and sleeping all day when he's not working. My other sis had moved out but moved back in while student teaching so that she would not have to worry about rent. I'm going to school to be a teacher, too, so its a good thing I'm at home w/the rents. Lately the problem is my mom who is denying going through depression and is very self-centered. She seems to have no problem with my husband and I doing everything around the house. I feel like Cinderella! My hubby and I also started to church regularly a few months ago and taking our kid to Sunday school. My mom keeps making slander-type jokes about us being "saved". Very frustrating to live with most of the time.

J slept in a big boy bed for the first time last night!
After my grandfather died the family decided that one of the brand new twin beds that were in the house should go to J so he can have a big boy bed. It is only a couple years old and was only used when family was visiting. It's a posterpedic! We could never have afforded that on our own.
We let him pick out his own sheets from Target - Cars. Now he's thrilled.

Yea J! Big boy beds are fun. G-man wont get one untill he is 2.
Alex has completed 2 performances and has the big finaly performance tonight. She is so excited. The show is called "Twinderella" "Tis a twist of a tale of Cinderella and her twin brother BOB." It is such a hoot! She even had a solo, At 7 yr old! She is loving it and the director said that Alex seems to be ment for the stage. She is very at home there. She had her lines memorized the first week.
