"I suppose you're right" Amara managed to muster a response. Still...that didn't stop her from worrying about him. It normally took a large group effort when fighting the heralds...and Roulin was just one. He may have been strong, but he was being stupid and rash...but she took Lucien for his word. When she saw the jacket he was about to wear, she smiled, so they were going to go on a date. "What kind of food do you want to eat?" she asked him. "Aeon had Aiden right now, if you want to be alone or if you want to spend some more time with the little guy, we can always go pick up something and come back or he can come along with us, it's up to you" she stated as she stood up and walked towards the mirror to check her appearance.

So much had happened in the last fifteen years...it was crazy. If she were to try and contact her younger self...her younger self wouldn't believe what she was saying. But even though things weren't perfect...thinks weren't all that bad. Amara had pretty much what she wanted her whole life all along. A family....her friends are her family...a caring....and clueless boyfriend and a beautiful baby.

"Yes. We will see later if Roulin's improved from this training or if he's fallen behind." He smiled a bit as he ran his fingers through his hair. He looked towards Amara laughing a little. "Aeon has had Aiden long enough. We'll take him with us. I don't get many moments with my family I want to enjoy what time we have." Lucien walked towards the door, leading them both out. "Besides the only time I've spent with him was a week ago. That's no way to raise a child. Not that I don't appreciate the effort Aeon is putting into this, for that I am grateful but Aiden is our son." He looked himself over, sighing a bit at what he was wearing. "Even here I feel as though I need to keep up appearances." He walked forward, as he did his jacket and pants dissolved away as Negation covered his body at first in a skin tight layer but soon after morphed into a black button up long sleeve shirt and black dress pants. Unfortunately the negation was black and therefore could only make black material, he wasn't obsessed with the color black but it suited him.

Amara followed Lucien, agreeing with what he had just said regarding Aiden. She looked at his clothes that was made from his negation and then to herself. "We should watch out, people may mistaken us for those goth people or something...or maybe members of a cult or satanist" she said with a giggle. As they walked down the hall, Amara then stopped at Aeon's room. "Hold on Lucien, let me get the baby right quick" she said knocking on her sister's door.

"Oh hey Amara. I wasn't expecting to see you right now" Aeon said. The young woman looked at Amara and Lucien smiling. "Oh so you're here to pick up Aiden, okay, give me a second" she said to her. Aeon ran towards the bed and picked up the infant and grabbed his bag as well. Returning to the door she looked at her sister and smiled, handing her the baby. "Well have fun and take care of Auntie's favorite little man" she said kissing Aiden on the cheek. She then handed Lucien the diaper bag and waved at them. "Hope you all have a great time" she said as she made her way back to her bed.

Amara held Aiden as she walked towards Lucien. "I'm so happy that I discovered I have a sister, I mean not just to watch the baby, but just someone who I can trust with anything...I mean other than you" she said with a smile, rubbing Aiden's hair down as he rested on her chest. "Well it's up to you where you want to eat, I'm open to anything really"[/b[ the psion said to the Death Owl. This was her family, many people may not have agreed with their family, one being a family of Owls...even though she wasn't certain if Aiden was an Owl or not, but he had Owl parents so there you have it. Or the fact that they had a child out of wedlock and weren't married yet or even discussed marriage. It didn't bother Amara, she was happy for now, and that's all that mattered.

"Superior? Ha! In name only!" Rage retorted with a laugh. She simply smirked as she watched Roulin's futile attempts to destroy the shadow arm she had sent after him. When he came shooting down towards her, Rage was prepared to dodge by dissolving into shadows. However, she didn't have to. A stray missile from a distant jet struck Roulin, sending a large cloud of smoke outwards from his last position in the sky. But Rage wasn't "blind" like she had been all those centuries ago. She had intelligence to back her up, so she knew not to count Roulin as down and out just yet. However, the jet that had fired the missile tried to run through the smoke and instead exploded in a fire-y mass. Of course, due to the sensitive hearing of Sydney's ears, the explosion caused a lot of ringing in her ears. Fortunately though, the explosion had been a fair distance away, so the hearing loss wasn't total. It was only just enough to muffle the blind Herald's hearing.

Rage grimaced in both pain and annoyance. Now she was going to have to rely mostly on her sense of smell to help her decide where Roulin was. Roulin's next lightning attack could have very well been successful had Timothy not intervened to negate the potential threat to her life. It was a good thing that Timothy was close by, otherwise Rage would not have heard him shout at her to keep the Life Owl busy. "Shut up, Timmy, and do whatever it is that you need to!" Rage shouted back as her eyes began to glow with a dark, blood red light. She was not happy about what had happened, and the fact that Timothy was telling her what to do right now was not helping her mood at all.

Rage knew she needed to move to a different position. She couldn't just stay where she was the entire time because that would just give Roulin a perfect target to shoot out of the sky. Knowing this, Rage's body dissolved within seconds into the shadow dome below her, becoming part of the shadows. This would give her the cover she needed to fulfill the plan that had sprouted in her mind. It wasn't even three minutes before a group of ten clones materialized out of the dome and rushed Roulin. Unlike the real body, these clones had better vision and could actually hear. Also, they could do pretty much anything that Sydney could do: bend shadows and other such things. Only they were definitely not as strong as the real thing.

While the clones would keep Roulin busy for a while, Rage would wait within the shadows of the dome. She hoped to have one of the clones knock Roulin down into the darkness so she could produce her full wrath upon him. At this point in time, Rage really just was toying with Roulin: testing him or quite possibly mocking his abilities to fight as the newest Owl of Life. Along with the clones, Rage sent out yet another wave of four shadow hands from the top of the dome to try to catch Roulin.

((@Maha: feel free to go crazy with attacking the clones. they are NPCs after all.))

Kojiro got a tighter grip on his emotions, however the ice on his hands did not even show signs of melting, something deep inside him said otherwise. Kojiro was able to maintain a much colder gaze as he voice steadied as well. Kojiro looked at her wsimple kept his guard and locked on her. He repeated his question,"....You aren't affiliated with the Fallen Phoenix are you?...Identify yourself and tell me what you are doing here..." he said in the same manner. Despite his injury, he stood steadily, seemingly unfazed by the wound, He had endured much more vicious attacks, so this reckless mistake was bearable. More important, he needed to know who this stranger is before he slips and lets an enemy past his guard. Any wrong move and he would act quickly.

Sakura, moved to stand, "I am not part of the fallen no, call me Sakura... A herald" she said watching the boy shut his twisted emotions completely, like a child sweeping dust under a rug, Disgusting she sighed and stared at the marvelous blades of ice that froze her last captors to their positions, "good you are such a mess, but so beautiful... you ice is just perfect ill have you know" she huffed and stood with slight difficulty, "if you must know i am the herald of Water, an OCD representative who is currently in a mess and slightly lost, could you tell me where i might be?"

Lucien stared at the diaper bag as if it were some strange alien thing. He raised an eyebrow looking it over before he opened it up and looked inside. "It's so bulky. There must be a better way to carry all of this. Perhaps when this is over I'll show the people who design these things how it should properly be made." He said as he looked towards Amara and Aiden. "Alright then let's go." He started walking down the hall before he looked over his shoulder at Aeon's open door, even though she wasn't in it's doorway. "Thanks Aeon I don't know what we'd do without you." He said just loud enough for her to hear him. As he looked forward he walked back towards the elevator pressing the button he waited for it to arrive. "Well Amara the good thing about Las Vegas is that options are plentiful here. Nearly any type of food you could imagine is right beneath our fingertips."

As the elevator arrived and the two of them walked inside Lucien pressed the ground floor button looking around at the elevator he admired Will's attention to detail even in an elevator. "He may be the devil, and one of the most annoying people to deal with. But will does nice work." He said softly. As the elevator stopped on the ground floor the two of them walked out into the lobby. The bright flashing lights of the casino floor and the familiar sounds of beeping and buzzing of the machines matched with the overwhelming noise of gamblers talking and shouting. The small of cigarette smoke offended Lucien's nose. "I will never understand why anyone smokes." He said as he started walking through the casino. He could see why one of the heralds or the Great Four would smoke, none of them could die from lung cancer or some poor circulatory disease, but normal people could and would.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2012 3:06 pm

Annoyed by the smoke, the gas and the debris that still surrounded him after the jet crashed into him, he rotated himself. The bits and pieces of F-22 Raptor that once was spread out and was blown away. His regular sight now gave way to the gargantuan dome of darkness beneath him. Timothy was behind him he knew. The white haired man was forming something that didn't threaten Roulin at all. If that Herald was going to choose to continuously underestimate him, then so be it. The Owl of Life decided against stopping his transformation as it wouldn't have been any fun killing Rage and then beating him around due to his powers being unable to hurt him. He wanted the Herald to finish this. When he beat him down after allowing him the time to prepare, it would only make his smile brighter as he stood over him ripping his skull to pieces.

"That b***h...of course she'd hide...." said Roulin in faux frustration. The woman hiding in the shadows made this a game for him. Time was against him though so he knew he couldn't spend all of his time playing jokily. At least the possessed Herald was nice enough to provide something for him to do while she hid like a coward within her element. Ten clones came from the dome all of which looked like the woman he had nothing but hate for. They were mere copies. This brought a toothy smile to Roulin's pale features and he cracked his knuckles in morose expectation. "Shadow Clones. Perfect even. All of you look just as beautiful as the woman I intend to erase. Couldn't ask for better practice..."

The Owl of Grey looked at each one of them. Their eyes were black and their pupils were as red as blood. Their bodies were slender just like Sydney's, but their expressions invited only malice and destruction. They didn't have teeth like humans or Heralds. Rather they resembled stalagmites and stalactites that sat and hug from the floors and ceilings of caves. They were scary in their own right, but the lavender eyed Italian had seen much worse and fought enemies stronger than these clones. They were fodder. They were emotionless and without feeling. Roulin still wanted them to feel like trash when he finished with them though. Countering their sharped toothed grins with just a smirk of his own, he made the first move.

He placed a box composed of light around one of the clone's head and then another of fire around it's body. The first one shined brightly and blinded it's target and the lower box burned furiously. As the being was made out of shadow, it wasn't going to scar it badly, but if it were human or Owl with real flesh, it would've melted after seconds of exposure. One of the clones approached him from behind with nails as sharp as it's producer's wit. Roulin met the attack with his lightsaber. It ripped through it's forearm, splitting between it's ring and middle finger down through it's lower torso. Effectively, it was killed as it became a dark liquid which just dripped away after being struck. The clone, that was still trapped and screaming for dear life, had it's head crushed by the box which instantly shrank into immeasurably small singularity. The box that was burning it's dead body fell to the ground along with it. No more screaming from that one. This left eight more clones for him to play with. There were not complaints. Just his confident smirk that he wore since starting this fight.

Amara could tell that Lucien was questioning the shape/size of the diaper bag. When he spoke about inventing a new kind she rolled her eyes. "Well it's supposed to be like this, you have diapers, wipes, blankets, bottles, pacifier, nose dropper, etc" she said. Lucien was a genius but if he could create a small back that had the space of a small person, then she'd be impressed. When Lucien spoke of various places to eat, she could tell this was his way of avoiding what to pick. When they stepped off the elevator and he commented on the smoke, she held the baby closer to her clothing so that he wouldn't inhale the incoming smoke.

"Well it's not like we're exactly in a family friendly zone" she said with a small laugh as they exited the casino. "We can walk the strip, and find a restaurant that way, nothing too fancy but of course nothing....hey..." she said as she saw a pizzeria across the street. It would make their first date cute, besides, Amara was getting tired of "fancy" eating and the grease infested dough, cheese and tomato sauce dish would do her well. As they walked in, the smell of pizza greeted them at the door.

The diner was a medium sized building and was surprisingly not crowded. Going up to the counter she smiled at Lucien. "Please don't over analyze the pizza with health talk, just enjoy" she said teasing him just a little bit. "Yes I'd like...um...two slices, one sausage, and the other supreme...oh yea and can I have some mozzarella sticks....with a large coke" she told the owner, waiting on Lucien to order. "Can you bring me my food, I'm about to pick a table and sat Aiden in the chair for him" she told Lucien as she walked towards the wall, grabbing a high chair she sat the baby in it as she waited for Lucien.

A chuckle echoed from the clones and the dome below Roulin. "Well, if you hate the fact that I'm hiding, why don't you try to chase me out? Unless you're afraid of the dark..." As Roulin proceeded to destroy two of the clones, leaving eight now, Rage was putting a plan into action within her mind and into reality. The rest of these clones would not go down as easily as Roulin had disposed of the first two. Three of them came from behind him, one grabbing hold of his legs around the ankles and her arms melting down into shadows which would begin to eat through his flesh if he didn't get away soon. The second attempted to grab Roulin from around the shoulders from behind to constrict his movement as she began dragging the Life Owl down towards the top of the dome. The rest of the clones began attacking the life owl with weapons made of shadows.

Roulin had the time he needed to piece together a plan to remove Rage from the continent wide shadow dome beneath him. Nothing presented itself though as that only drew frustration which clouded his already racing mind. The clones she left behind were just toys or targets even, but they were numerous and therefore annoying as well. When they advanced, the lavender eyed fighter did take off one of them, but they still managed to pull him into the somber, oddly acidic darkness that was a Rage's half-sphere. It had become obvious to Roulin back in South America that not even his Life Owl vision could pierce that cloak of darkness that Rage made. As a Herald, her element was pure albeit used by a decidedly tainted person. Because it was unrefined, there was only futility in trying to see past it, through it or around it. Effectively, in this world, he was blind. He tore away one of the arms of the clones holding him and slashed away at another. This slowed his descent, but he could still feel the blackness closing in on him. The element was still chewing on him as parts of his skin on his wrist had been dissolved away...

Like this, the young Italian realized he could very well be killed unless he just teleported out. He was above retreat right now and so that meant he needed a way to fight, to live and to win. But how? With clones holding him down and his lungs unable to draw air, he was at a clear disadvantage....until a new idea came to him. He still had his elemental boxes. He still had his abilities and his wits. The Owl of Grey began to place photon-boxes anywhere he could 'see'. Ten here, ten there, twenty over head, fourty to his left and right. Directly above, behind his back specifically, he created a photon-box roughly half the size of the dome he was in. The box only encompassed the upper portion of it, but that was enough for Roulin. With a snap of his bony fingers, each one exploded giving off a blast of shining light that ate away at the shadows around him. The ones beneath him allowed him to see the ground which was probably three or four miles beneath him. The top of the dome was destroyed and it's remnants resembled a torn shirt that waved in the wind. Timothy was there and so was his metallic construction on his arm. As for Rage, Roulin couldn't see her still, but he could very well sense her. Telekinetically, he grabbed at where she was hoping to catch her and pin her so that he could finally kill her.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:04 pm

Roulin's elemental boxes destroyed two-thirds of the dome's roof, leaving the edges in torn disarray. When that happened, shock was an understatement to how Rage took the damage. Since her essence was one with the shadow, it felt like she was having her limbs torn off one by one. However, this wasn't physically the case. It was just an inordinate amount of excruciating pain. From the remaining shadows around Roulin, there came a high-pitched scream. It was of course, Rage screaming in agony. Within the shadows, her essence formed back into the shape of her body because she was unable to keep dispersed within the shadows.

The pain was so great that Rage was also unable to react to the telekinetic reach Roulin put forth to grab hold of her. As such, he was successful in pinning her to one spot. The hold was so tight that, it cut her scream short into a sort of strangled cry. "W-What!? H-How?!" Rage cried out.

The cheers that arose from the once darkened continent of Africa seemed to provide a cushion for Roulin who was staring down into the cities and plains miles below. Half the dome was obliterated thanks to him, but still, it's base remained to be rebuilt if Rage was allowed to live past this moment. The amethyst, animosity filled crystals that were Life Owl's lavender eyes located the injured Herald. "Gotcha...." A coyote-esque grin twisted his features and he licked his lips at the prospect of new, greater power to be used at his fingertips. With force, he pressed the dark Herald's small frame into the grassland below. Like this, she could not escape and the damage she'd taken wasn't going to see her attempting to escape with efficiency. This was perfect for the young Owl. Nothing stood in his way now. His descent towards her was at first slow, but like a falcon swooping to scoop it's unfortunate pray, he's speed picked up and he shot down towards her.

"Well, at least you managed to take off a bit of his skin," murmured Timothy in frustration as he placed the finishing touches on his replacement weapon. Roulin still held his artifact which he used as a hilt as Timothy himself would've. His metallic arm, the original having had been removed by the Life Owl himself, was no a monstrous mesh of assorted plane pieces compiled from the air around him and the ocean beneath him. The arm was great in length, sharp and bulging upon view, dark grey and black along the wrist and massive in width. It could easily grasp a building and crush it. The Herald didn't have this in mind. Reeling to the side the palm which was simply a jet connected to five protrusions he called 'fingers', he prepared to swat Roulin away just as he would a small fly.

Roulin's body hadn't healed from his wounds earlier. The process of regeneration was in commencement, but it was taking place gradually. It was ironic, but not to Roulin who hadn't noticed that the bones of his left wrist were showing beneath the mesh of muscles that had been torn by the elements and the clones. The lightsaber's tip was turned to Rage whom was still pressed into the marshy grassland. The pressure on her was immense, but it wasn't enough to kill her. The greedy Owl wasn't going to let her off by just being crushed. No, he intended to kill her just as he told her he would.

After closing the gap between her and himself by a mile maybe, he could hear something off to the side of him. It was low, deep and almost silent save for the air it was violently displacing. Like a strong breeze it sounded and with great speed it moved. Before he could react to it, it had connected. What appeared to be a jet covered in red liquid, building chunks, rubble and assorted metals whacked him powerfully. His grip on his lightsaber was broken as was each bone of his upper body. The power behind the sweeping, massive appendage sent him flying from his course to Rage and she was freed in the process. As a reflex, he teleported himself along with his momentum....

"Yes......Yes! Get'er! Yes! Now move!!" Che, the soccer dad, was now standing watching his son take it to Rage while Timothy stood idly by. After the dark Herald ran into her dome, the elder Presidiomni took his seat once again. It only took seconds for him to be back on his feet when Roulin took off a few of the dark clones left behind by that coward Herald. "C'mon...that's right.....now you just need to kill her! C'mon man, move!" Fitted with flailing, punching and the occasional kicking, Che took part in this as if her were watching his son play a sport or something. As immature as it was, he knew the severity of the situation. This wasn't a sport, nor was it game. The way Roulin seemed to carry himself in the battle though suggested the opposite. Rage as well. They were toying with each other.

Moli was silent amongst the commotion his father kept going. His glance was often exchanged between the television and Cecilia, his fighting brother's girlfriend. The blonde couldn't help but think that the move....the decision of going out there to fight two Heralds alone was stupid....retarded even, but he was winning. Even if it was because he had Tim's artifact, he was winning. He made Rage retreat, cause the air force to stop attacking and even put Tim on standby. Maybe he could win this. Maybe his idiotic decision was just what the Night Owls needed right now. "C'mon Roulin. You can do it....Don't give up yet....." After the dome of darkness was partly obliterated by Roulin, Moli smiled and nodded all the while screaming for joy in his head. Only when Timothy brought his hand down through dome with the utmost silence did he cringe...

"Wha--what happened? Did he hit him?" asked Che. No one could see into the tattered dome of element now. Only Timothy who was above it like a watchman. Kneeling before the television, the Mastering Owl placed a sliding hand on the LCD monitor and asked once again this time with fervent wonder, "Did he hit him?! What happened! Wha--"

The elder's question was answered in the form of his son's unconscious body blasting through the window of his room. His motion was saved during his teleportation, so the walls, the door and the walls of the hallway onto the next room had to do all that they could to slow him and stop him. The process, for Che and Moli was painful to watch as the limp ragdoll that was Roulin broke through the doorjamb, passed through the hallway into the room over, through the shower and skidded until slamming against the furthest wall nearest the window opposite Che's window. After striking the wall, his torn, bloody and bruised body fell onto the air conditioner and rolled off onto the floor at the foot of the bed leaving only a single shoe and a socked foot in view.

Both Moli and Che looked through the oval shaped hole into the room over. Moli's eyes were wide with surprise while Che's were wide with fear. Both their mouths hung agape. They were speechless and so silent, one would've questioned if they were even breathing. After a moment, Moli stood to his feet and Che walked into the hallway slowly, his expression still frozen firmly upon his face. After he entered the hallway, other residents began to as well looking at the bushy haired man for answers. They only received silence and a stare that let even the least curious ones know that something had occurred here. Something bad...

The young Cosmic Owl ignored the elder Owl's so called "soccer" cheers. Her jade eyes were glued to the television, never leaving the screen through which the battle between Roulin and the two Heralds took place. Cecilia's azure hands gripped the remote so tightly that she unconsciously created a small crushing force of gravity. There was a cracking sound as the remote split into two...three...four pieces. Sharp edges of the pieces of the remote cut the palms of her hands. The last thing Cecilia was worried about, however, were the cuts on her hands or the state of the remote, which could be easily replaced without any effort.

Roulin appeared to be winning, but something didn't sit well with the sapphire female. The amethyst eyed Life Owl was merely toying with Rage and she with him. If they hadn't been, she had a feeling that this fight would be much brutal and fierce than it already was. Still, Cecilia mentally cheered Roulin on, while also mentally cursing at the same time. Yet, suddenly Roulin disappeared. The dome of darkness had been completely obliterated. But where was Roulin? The only person who was visible in Cecilia's view was Timothy.

A loud, almost earsplitting crash sounded. Shards of glass littered the floor , particles of glass, the size of grains of sand flew through the air, not exactly dangerous, but it would not be comfortable if a piece was to hit one of them in the eye. The young Owl's heart skipped many beats. A sick feeling built up in the pit of her stomach. She had caught sight of his battered body. She slowly stood up, her legs felt like lead. There was no clear expression on her face.

The state of him was reminscent of someone who had suffered a gruesome death. Cecilia's eyes had left the television and she glanced at Moli seeing the expression of surprise on his face. The young Herald's hands trembled, she grasped them tightly forcing them to stop. Slowly, she dropped her hands to her side and moved into the hallway, each step seemed heavier than the last. The emotion in her features could not be determined. She merely stared ahead, across the hallway.
