I cannot even count the amount of roleplays that i thought were solid gold that never took off after days of hard work......

I feel you there. Been on gaia since 03... feel you there...
its either no roleplayers... or finicky ones... those are the worst... Like often times I'll fulfill the villain role in roleplays... because either no one wants to be hated... or they are all amatures... and like... people start getting mad at YOU and not your character... and I'm like... wtf don't take it out on me... and then they godmodd the s**t out of your villian... because he did what a good villian does... and actually got to them mentally

I hate to say it, but to be perfectly honest, I think a majority of people who role play just aren't very intelligent (common-sense-wise)...

Yea... you have been Roleplaying longer than I have my friend. But I mostly play villains as well. most people just don't get the whole mentality behind good evil characters....
Evil characters don't know that they are evil....... or they just don't care.....
But yes, people lack imagination and insight. I would like to go recruit more people. But most of the people who are actually looking for roleplaying guilds are so wretched......

Completely. That's one of the reasons I chose here to do the zombie roleplay. People here seem more than competent; some are actually quite good. The only issue I see... is that I'd like the guild to be fast paced with shorter posts... I detest one liners, but some of the posts here are a bit too large for my tastes... think the dice system can thin that out though.
But yeah good evil characters... people want a good villain to exist... they just don't want to deal with them. Idk...

Well the issue is that they want a bad a** villian. Who spooks them. But they don't want him to actually be able to kick their characters a** since they all want their characters to be super awesome masters of the universe.
Haha, I would like it to be a little more fast paced as well.....
Sadly we all have jobs and lives and only squeeze the time here in inbetween times when we should be doing other things....
I should be sleeping now....

Yerp... know how that is... I did that while juggling dramatic family issues, a full college load, and work... now I find myself done with education... out of work... wondering why all the days have blurred together.
