{Demyx .:. Red Rose .:. Womens' Baths}

Demyx looked up from playing with his bubbles as the curtain around his tub darkened. When it was done, he grabbed one edge of the fabric in his fingers, and lifted it so he could see the pattern, without actually drawing the curtain closed.

"Aww, I liked them the way they were," he pouted, and dropped the curtain again. He looked up as Jenny walked in, and grinned his big foolish grin.

"Hey there," he said, and was about to say more, except Dani burst out in a rather angry tirade. Which was soon followed by Kyla responding in an equally heated manner.

"Ladies, ladies, please!" the Melodious Nocturne whined, flapping his hands in a calming motion. This was somewhat ruined by the bubbles flying in different directions. "We're here to get clean and have a nice, relaxing bonding time, right? Let's save our anger for the bad guys!"

As if to prove his point, he scooped up some of his bubbles in one hand, and wriggled around in his tub so he was facing Noelle. He then pushed the shower curtain aside, exposing her completely (at least in his general direction), and reached over to place the handful of bubbles on her head like a crown.

"There! ...You know, being on your stomach like that doesn't look very comfortable for bathing," he said, crossing his arms over the edge of the tub and resting his chin on them. He stared at Noelle in wide-eyed mock innocence, inviting her to help lighten the mood.

((OMG!! DRAMA!!!))
[Dani :: Red Rose :: Bathing Chambers ]
Dani finally stopped rubbing her temples and looked in the general direction of where Kyla was. "Do not cry do not cry." Dani thought to herself and felt tears start to p***k at her eyes.

"Well gee thanks for the curtains!" Dani shouted at Kyla in her tired state. "I am sure a little bit of color was very important because you are an artist!"

For the time being, Dani decided to ignore Demyx and try to take matters in her own hands. However, in that moment, all of Dani's anger dissipated, like a drunk person becoming sober. Her tears began to pour out of her eyes as she continued to look at the person she had minutes before called a friend. "You want to know why I 'wasted' mana on you Kyla.. do you?!" Dani said through her tears as she started to stand from her tub. "I did it because this is what I call being nice to a person and trying to help them out. I don't usually waste mana but for once I thought for the first time in my life I had a friend that maybe I could help and get a little fun out of the deal too. Even if I am suffering from fatigue or from not eating at the mother ship I still put others before myself. I might act like a child sometimes and may be act sensitive but I have NEVER talked or disrespected the way you did just now to a friend."

" I did appreciate that you hide me behind the curtain and protected me, I never said that I did not want that." Dani said starting to hiccup in between words and she felt her words become weaker. "I was just excited to make the mist before when you mentioned it. I guess I was wrong in mak-"

Dani's words were cut off as, finally, her fatigue became too much on her body. Her world faded into black as her head fell and her head hit against the tub enough to crack her head. Her head hit the bottom of the tub with a loud and that was it.

[Kyla: Red Rose: Bathing Chambers]

Poor Demyx's encouragements were falling on deaf ears. It was a most tragic!
She too wanted to sit and soak and chat- but ohhhh no! Dani had to have alittle pity party for no good reason she could grasp.
Kyla felt her patience slipping further and further with every stupid line that dropped from the childish girls lips.
Everything Dani said felt so petty, and almost purposefully ignorant it was shameful.
With every sentence it seemed obviously apaprent that logic wasn't computing with her- most likely from her lack of sleep and nourishment. Why didn't' she eat with everyone else anyway?

She had to bit her lip when Dani asked her if she wanted to know why she wasted her mana, she felt a sarcastic and spiteful report struggle and die inside her mind- "-Actually I DON"T want to know." was what she wanted to say. Instead she muttered- "Disrespecting? More like calling you out on your foolishness. Do you have any concept of how ignorant you sound right n-"
She never got to finish her report as Dani suddenly stopped, her eyes rolling into the back of head and she fell to the floor like a puppet who's strings were suddenly cut. there was a sickening cracking noise and nothing else.

"...Well s**t."

Kyla scowled but leaped to her feet, water spilling and all. She surprised herself how quickly she jumped out of her tub and didn't even reach for a towel as she ran across where Dani's form lay crumpled on the floor, half her body sticking out from behind the curtain. She turned the girl to one side and watched a steady pool of blood leak from her head.
"...this is bad." she muttered and summoned her book. Her voice nearly back to normal- calm, collective yet still a bit cold. there was a faint trace of worry in it.

[Noelle ~ Red Rose ~ Ladies Bathing Chambers]

Noelle's eyes widened when Demyx "claimed" the tub next to her, almost regretting her antics for the sake of making John feel better. She covered her face with her hands after he pulled his shirt off (Ohman abs . . .), feeling her face heat up rapidly. Once she heard the splash of the water in the tub next to her she peeked in between her fingers to see that he had fully reclined and was covered. Making a hard to read face (Ooooohmusclesmusclesmusclesmuscles) she tried to relax and watched as the curtains became opaque. This helped her feel a little more comfortable. She wanted to thank Kyla for her handy work but couldn't get a word in before Dani started pitching her childish fit. The agromancer rolled her eyes, feeling about ready to punch some babies. She was tired and wanted a little peace, but it looked like that wasn't going to happen. Especially once Kyla started up. Noelle's temper was short and her patience was non-existent as a result of lack of rest, so she was about ready to get into it to. She felt like picking up where Kyla left off, ready to snap at Dani for essentially yelling at them for taking their attention off her to give John a little care. She was about to jump in, guns blazing when--

"BWAAHAHAHAHAAA!" She shouted, her grip on the edge of the tub slipping. Demyx had caught her most unawares and the surprise nearly destroyed her. The blonde clung to the shower curtain as Demyx reached over and placed the bubbles on top of her head. She stared back at him in complete shock, not even sure if she was at all exposed in anyway (though she could have sworn that it felt rather drafty along her rear end, which was pretty telling. It was possible that it was all in her mind). As Dani began her second bout a distinct ripping noise could be heard above Noelle's head. She slowly looked up to see a nasty tear beginning to form in the shower curtain she was clinging so desperately too. It was in fact bearing all of her weight because as she had lost her grip on the tub she had grabbed onto the curtain to prevent from falling all the way in and becoming submerged. But that was going to happen anyway.

"Aw sheei--" Splash!

The curtain tore enough, almost completely, for Noelle to be dropped suddenly into her bath water. She floundered in the water a bit, trying to gain traction enough to not drown. She was finally able to cling enough to the side of the tub (the one opposite of Demyx) to regain her bearings . . . and just in time to witness Dani crack her head on the floor. She tried to move as fast as Kyla did, but could hardly even sit up in her own tub by the time the pictomancer had reached her. By that time she had found out that it was a good idea that she stay put. Once the agromancer saw the profuse amount of blood coming from Dani's head she paled and placed a hand over her mouth at the instant queasy feeling and gag-reflex. She leaned against the back of the tub, having repositioned herself, and sank down low enough to not be able to see above the rim.

"Fan-frikken-tastic." She grumbled shakily, eyes closed and arms crossed over her chest to ensure that Demyx wouldn't get an eyeful (which he probably already had while she struggled to regain her composure). "Can't we all just relax for ten minutes without someone getting all worked up and falling on their frikken faces?"

[Jenny :: Red Rose :: Ladies Bathing Chambers]

Right when Jenny was about to comment on the curtains, there was a screech in her mind, like someone tearing their bow across a violin. The mage looked over to Dani and sure enough, the girl released her temper like a small typhoon. It would have been scary for someone like Jenny; if the reason wasn't so blatantly silly and pointless. Brown eyes narrowed slightly as she gave the water user a scrutinizing look. She didn't know Dani very well, the other having been on the Queen's Quest; but she sure didn't make a good impression on her.

"Ugh. Shut her up. I hate when children whine," Siren snapped; her tone getting dangerously low as if her voice summoned the fierce winds on the ocean.

Before Jenny could even agree, Kyla had a retort of her own, taking the musician by surprise. For someone usually as calm as Kyla, an outburst seemed so unusual; although, thinking back on it, maybe she didn't know Kyla well at all. They had only seen so many sides of one another. After all, as difficult as it was to believe, it had only been six days. The pictomancer's heartsong grated uneasily, clearly echoing the annoyance she was feeling. Jenny furrowed her eyebrows, looking between the two girls and feeling increasingly uncomfortable by the scene. From what she caught, Dani was making a fuss over bubbles! BUBBLES! Floaty, spherical thingies! Was it really worth it? She sighed-

Then, a loud noise, followed by another; all accompanied by the frantic swishing of water. The brown haired girl jumped and rushed forward; watching in horror as the water gained a pinkish hue.

Her flute appeared immediately, followed closely by a soothing melody and a glowing clock beside Dani's head. The wound closed itself up as the clock reversed itself though no doubt Dani would still feel a semblance of an ache when she awoke.

"I though bubbly bath times were for relaxation. I swear, we're getting more injuries here than on the battlefield."

"Maybe that'll shut her up for a while," Siren chided, her tone having softened though there was the sliver of annoyance all weaved into her sing song voice making her sound... amused, almost.

[Kyla: Red Rose: Ladies Bathing Chambers]

' Justdon'tthinkaboutyoubeingnakidinfrontofJohnNoelleDemyxandJenny-Justdon'tthinkaboutyoubeingnakidinfrontofJohnNoelleDemyxandJenny-Justdon'tthinkaboutyoubeingnakidinfrontofJohnNoelleDemyxandJenny!'

As Noelle commented Kyla shook her head in disbelief. "Seems like this will be our rut in life till all this nonsense comes to a close."
She tried to ignore the feel of the air across her skin, and hoped her hair was long enough and wet enough to stay stuck to her body in it's long tendrils that draped across her frame. Not the same as having a towel but hey- she didn't have time to care.

Now she was grateful that she hadn't used this before for Zidane- who would have guessed she'd need it only an hour or so later!?
~ You're going to have a serious head ache- for someone you just called some pretty nasty things.~ ' In my head.' ~ Yeah but I'm in your head.~

'...true.But like she said.. we're supposed to be friends right? I'm mad- but I'm not spiteful. That's Kai, not me.'

She began sketching very quickly using the body outline she had prepped on her new page section. She sketched Dani's likeness, all limp and head bleeding on the floor by the wet tub.

But she never finished it in time. Jenny was there just as quickly, and using her flute she reversed time on Dani's head. Much more practical actually- she should have just asked Jenny to patch her up first instead of trying to use her own possible new healing ability.

She looked and the half done ritual on her page and thought for a moment. Remembering how she and Amy drove together...Amy was a white magic user too. Something was beginning to click together. Kyla almost forgot where she was as the pieces filed in line and made a brand new concept manifest in her minds eye.
This be what Dr. House feels like whenever he got his epiphany!
It was Jenny's commenting and brought her back to reality, and she looked at her with a side glance. "I hear yeah." She looked back down at Dani, no quiet and unconscious, but ok again.

"I guess we should move her, I don't think she's going to wake if she's as fatigued as she said." Kyla continued and she sounded normal again, that calmer yet slightly nervous and timid subtly blend that most people new her by.
Her heart song returned to normal, yet there was a shaken undertone, like something unsettled but moving along underneath. There was also a new tempo, something was on her mind that was progressive and constructive and slowly growing in volume.

[Elleon ~ Castle That Never Was ~ Where Nothing Gathers]

Elleon watched the procession with a brow raised, swishing her champagne around in her flute. Things were just getting better, she couldn't think of a more excellent way to spend her evening. Despite her calm outward appearance an excitement was beginning to rise up in her. When Ajora summoned her to be next she moved at a leisurely pace, finishing off the rest of her champagne and swinging her legs around to the front of her chair. The blonde stood and made her way over to the table, smiling at Alice as she passed.

"Aw, no fair," she pouted mockingly, giving Ajora a suggestive wink. "You've taken the person I want inside me most~"

The dark agromancer looked up at the replicas turning round and round on the table, trying to make a decision. After a short moment of deliberation she lifted a heel and pressed it on the table, slowing it until Kyla's replica stopped in front of her. Elleon summoned her spear and swung it upward, catching the bottom corner of the tip on Kyla's shoulder and yanking it forward so the lifeless girl fell to her knees in front of the small blonde. The Replica grabbed Kyla's face, hooking her fingers around the back of the right side of her jaw and pressing her thumb into her sinus. It was rather disappointing to not get a reaction from the puppet, but she derived some joy from it anyway. The process of absorbing the replica was uplifting as well, making Elleon feel energized. This day was just getting better and better.

[ Ajora ; James ; Replica Procession : Castle That Never Was : Where Nothing Gathers ]

Ajora couldn't help but release what might have been considered the most childlike giggle possible in response to Elleon's obvious innuendo, covering his mouth as he did so. However, he said nothing until the second Replica was gone, smiling toward Elleon as he carefully caught the falling crown with his foot (tossing it into the air to catch with his hand).

"You've been far too kind, dear, I simply had to repay you, he said with a small nod before sending the table spinning once again. He then turned to face Azrael. "You're up, big boy, take your pick!"

[Azrael: Castle That Never Was: Where Nothing Gathers]

The male peeked one eye open, watching Elleon absorb a version of Kai. Lifeless, unfeeling....

Boring.

Of course, then it was his turn. Awesome. As Azrael hopped out of his seat and onto the table(of course he'd walk on the table, he wanted a good look at them all). He paced around them, eying them up and down, deciding which was the best meal for him. Before going for the obvious choice.

Azrael grabbed the lifeless copy of himself by the hand, twirling it and taking it into his arms, Az's front to the 'doll's' back, and gently kissed it's neck, getting no reaction. So, the male bit down on the neck, and began to absorb. He felt...well, to put it bluntly, stronger, as the slave crown fell to the to the table when he was done. He debated picking it up, but he already had one in the waiting. He doubted he'd need two.

And with that, he went back to lounging in his seat, lighting up the cig from behind his ear, the other one just seemingly disappearing after hitting the filter, and a new one appearing behind his ear.

[Lexaeus: Red Rose: Deck]

The Silent Hero was doing what he did best: Staying silent and thinking. It was odd, this group of children. He attacked them, full out, and they chose not to destroy him. Yes, he was under mind-control, but they had no true knowledge of that. So, there was that to mull over. And the fact that Axel was playing oblivious. He'd have to remind Axel of what the flamboyant chakram-user did to Zexion eventually. And then of course there was also Zexion just suddenly flipping sides, which was unlike the scientist.

So, the large nobody stood on the deck, his thoughts spinning through his head with his arms crossed over his chest.

[Joe: Red Rose: Training Room]

The male sniffed(it sounding disgusting as it was a sniff of running snot), and let Mathy hold him for a bit, before pushing the male away to get up.

"I'm not...well, I am pushing you away, but not out of anger. I just...you know me. I need to go be by myself for a bit. Sort everything out. Rebuild myself. Calm down. Can't go breaking down on everyone if I'm needed."

And with that, Joe walked towards Dawn, rubbing his eye and giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. As he reached the door, he looked back at Mathy. "Learn something good from her. We'll need all the help we can get."

And then he left, sighing as he went to find a place to just...sit down and relax. Maybe he'd take a bath, or something. His hands were still shaking, and the water would calm him.

[ Ajora ; James ; Replica Procession : Castle That Never Was : Where Nothing Gathers ]

As the crown fell, the black veil seemed to swallow it up, causing it to vanish entirely. Any other Crown would immediately do the same upon falling.

"Half-way through," Ajora said, placing his foot on the 'roulette' table without spinning it. He turned his gaze to Louis, raising a slight eyebrow in curiosity. "You're up. Care to take a spin, or do you already know who you want for dessert?"

Sayrike::Hawaii::Outside the Red Rose

Now Sayrike felt a bit guilty. She hadn't meant to discredit Louis that way. "I'm not saying we should eject him from the group or anything," she backtracked. "I'm just saying that we should treat him with a degree of caution, just like anyone else with us. Even me. Who's to say that all of us from Earth have to be the protagonists here?" The masked girl paused, briefly considering the idea, and pressed on. "But, I mean...Well, for now, I still have faith in Louis. He's watched my back a number of times and helped me out...he's helped all of us out. That's worth something."

Sayrike wondered why Kyle was focused on the weapon that Louis---for lack of a better name to call what he transformed into---chose, and the color scheme. Was it something significant? If movies and games had taught her anything, when a person trailed off in speech about something that small, it would have consequences later. "Why? What's so special about the weapon and the colors?"

Now that she thought about it, the girl did have one more question. "The last thing that I'd want to bring up is something that's been bothering me all day today. Why...why did your replica want Jack's compass?" Maybe there was something that happened earlier in the week that would provide the context for this.

[ Kyle : Hawaii : Outside the Red Rose ]

"Well, who wouldn't want the ability to always know where to find something you desire?" he asked, shrugging. "If you're asking me what that desire is, though, I couldn't tell you. My darkest desire isn't something tangible, so it's not something to 'find'. Maybe it's a way to keep track of us, or find new sources of power... I honestly couldn't tell you."

"Anyway, I didn't plan to go so far as to eject Louis-- merely not trust him entirely, in the same way we keep an eye on Seymour and Kuja," he continued, running a hand through his hair, pushing most of it to the left side. "He's helped us out just as much as they have, but his... recent changes has brought just as much doubt as they have. For me, anyway."

"I'm probably just... over-analyzing the weapon, but if you must know my thought processes," Kyle began with a sigh, his shoulders sagging somewhat as he scratched the side of his head. "Who supposedly got rid of Ajora's seal on Dawn? Louis. Coincidentally, who do we know wears black and red, acts with a methodical ruthlessness, and wields a double-ended weapon? I'll give you one hint."

At that point, Kyle summoned his swallow to his side, lazily twirling it about between himself and Sayrike.

"As I said, however, I'm probably just getting paranoid," he mused, beginning to walk toward the Rose's entrance ramp with the swallow still lazily flourishing at his side. "You deal with betrayal and trickery long enough, you tend to get that way. Here's to hoping he's as good-hearted as you believe."

Sayrike::Hawaii::Outside the Red Rose

Sayrike frowned at Kyle's response about the Compass. Maybe Ajora was that capricious that he'd just come over to bother them just for the trinket. Not that the object itself was minor, it was just that in the midst of these grand plans and scheming it didn't seem like one would want to take a side trip just to find their heart's desire, not at least if it had nothing to do with realizing these said "grand plans." Sayrike had met the guy only once, but it seemed like everything he did was part of a larger purpose.

Well, she wasn't going to get any answers from Kyle. It would just remain a mystery for now. With any luck (not that they seemed to be having a lot of that lately), it wouldn't come up again.

With a raised eyebrow, Sayrike listened to Kyle's thought processes. Ajora...Dang it, if I had only met him more than once! Actually, scratch that, I should probably be thankful I've only had that one encounter. I wonder...is that the presence I felt in Louis? Following in step behind Kyle, Sayrike asked, "If...Louis was somehow connected to Ajora, what would you do?" Out of curiosity, Sayrike also blurted out, "By the way, what is your darkest---" but at that moment, courtesy caught up with her mouth and she cut herself off. "Sorry, I didn't mean to pry! Ignore me, sometimes I just kind of run off like that..."
