Rias peered fearfully from her hiding place. SHe'd been here for sometime. It hadnt gotten dark either so she couldnt stretch her wings. She rotated her ankles and looked back out. They were still walking toward her. Of course they couldn't know that she was here yet. Noo ne had yet to even notice her in this new place. And she figured it was best that way. She caught a flash of silver in the sky and held her breath, hoping the others hadn't seen it. She bit ehr lip, hoping against hope. She whispered breathily. "Please don't let them know.."

I think simple shields would work better really, not to mention that they would be easier to make. I'm not sure how effective we would be from behind them, but it would serve as a great distraction to anyone firing upon us. It would allow someone else to perhaps go unnoticed.

Regarding the man coldly, "At least we now know you have some sensibilities about you." Thinking for a moment he wonder what type of shield would be best, his mind was torn between the tower shield which would be hard to move about and a kite sheild which would not afford them that much protection. The further his mind worked on it the further it went back in history. "Say do you know anything about Roman shields?"

Rivven resigned himself to quietly watch the conversation, as he neither cared for the idea of lugging a sheild around too much. He'd snatched up corpses or objects lying around to sheild himself before, sure, but generally he prefered to be free to move and not draw more attention than was necessary until he was ready to strike the enemy down. Walking head on in with a large metal object in front of him... well, he didn't know what a Roman shield was either, and he knew almost nothing about the country of Rome in fact, but then, these people came from a different continent, and he came from the far side of this one. There were bound to be differences.

The silver falcon shot out of the sky and landed a few feet away from the group. She opened her wings a moment and gave a shriek in order to get their attention. Rias gaped in astonishment and fear. She bit her lip, wrapping her wings tighter around her. 'Be careful Nari.' she thought. Nari spread her wings once more and finally settled. She lowered her head and drop a stone on the ground. It was actually a jewel. Nari stepped back and eyed them all.

The roman sheilds botheredf her, but it was nothing that she wanted to talk about right now. Grabbing Rivven's hand she looked to everyone else, and made an exasperated gesture. "We've got more than enough people to wipe his filth out. I say we strike right now, and make a chaos for them to deal with!" it was time to move.

Quin thought about it for a moment, while it did seem a death wish to just rush in the thought that each moment they delayed just gave them more time to prepare. "Well people, let's go. We have no time to waste and life is on the line." Grabbing one of the guns from Giles he slung it over his shoulder and left his cane to fall to the ground. Chaneling ki through the leg, forcing torpid muscles to move.

"Right. Do you want me to draw them out then, so we can run the ambush, or shall we steel ourselves to rush in and rely on pure magic force?" Rivven said, a bit of obvious distaste for the idea of using brute force in his voice, but not disagreeing. He followed her quickly, falling into step and already feeling for the water bodies nearby in case. Luckily, he was left at this point with the most chakra he'd recalled having since he got his freedom.

"Why don't we assault them from several fronts, in small groups based on strength?" she said to Rivven, as they were all preparing. She lived for that rush, and although it was a dangerous move it was the only way she knew how to fight. After getting his approval, she smiled fiercely and set off with him, leaving the others to make their own groups, but she knew they were itching for this just as much as she had to be.

Nari screeched at them and moved a few steps forward. She was being ignored! Nari flew up and Rias held her breath. She gave a cry as Nari instantly dove toward the closest one she could get at. It happened to be the one called Quin. "watch out! No Nari!" Rias jumped out and Nari pulled up short, giving a dis-satisfied shriek. Nari then returned to the ground and picked the statue up. She eyed the group and then Rias. Finally, she flew to Rias's shoulder. Rias smiled worriedly. "Um. Hello. I am Rias Nikashi."

With the flutter of wings and the item rushing through the air Quin had the weapon level. The butt of the stock pressed firmly against his shoulder as his eyes looked over the barrel at the bird. His aim shifted as another figure came into view. Not hearing what words where said as his blood rushed through his veins, they bounded in his ears. The last call of battle clashed in his mind as he remeber the sight, and here before what looked to be another of those that had laid ruin upon him. Sparing not words or shot his body ached from lack of use as he sprinted at the figure.

With speed and ferocity he lay into her. Smashing the stock across the side of her head. The force sending her to the ground for the back ward swing which caught the other side. Holding the weapon at the ready he had the barrel aimed for the face. "Out cold." Kicking the creature in the stomach he heard a faint groan. Ordering his servants to tie her up, they would question her later, for now battle, true battle called.

Alan stared at the unconsious figure and Quin standing over her. "Well if I could interject, I do believe that that was just a tad bit rash. I do hope she isnt damaged too much. She may have been of assistance to us." He bent over and leaned her against a nearby tree. "She should be out of harms way. Bind her if you want, though she dosent really look like an evil sort to me."
He turned his back on her and took the small ball of silvery metal from his pocket. He closed his eyes and muttered a few words before it lifted off his palm and began to spin. The ball elongated into a large metal disk that was large enough to cover him completely on one side. "Since none of you seem to want one of these I suppose I'll just use it myself."
As he neared the treeline he had a thought to himself, he had no clue what kind of offence he was going to use.

Rias groaned. Her head was pounding. At one moment she was standing and trying to protect Nari,... Nari! She hoped her friend was alright. She tried to open her eyes but she felt to battered. She focused on figuring out what else happened and why she seemed to be hurt. Memory swamped her. The one called Quin. he had rushed her and she had seen murder in his eyes. For once in her life she'd been frozen. She remembered that look oh so clearly and yet she had senn not Quin's face but anothers. Her Ex-husbands. She should say mate but he was not her mate. She had never allowed that kind of surrender. She never surrendered that freedom. She tried to lift her arms, mnove her legs. SOmething. She realized she couldn't pull her hands apart. Her feet seemed glued together. She finally managed to open her eyes. Fear instantly came to her. Luckily, Nari wasnt around. She was off to the side and watching them talk. She saw the one called Quin and shuddered. She swallowed and glanced down at her hands and feet. They were tied. Very tightly. She'd have bruises there. She felt as though she had at least one broken rib but she couldnt be sure. She had bruises everywhere on her body. Her magic spiked for just a brief moment but she pushed it down. That was forbidden. Her magic was forbidden. It was nothing more than a curse. Her entire life she had heard it and so she had beleived. Maybe if her parents hadn't died so soon, she would have had a different life but...It had not been. She'd gone to mortals. Rias groaned, trying to free herself. She wasn't used to being tied up and where she couldn't fly away. They had even bound her wings against her back. She whimpered fearfully. She looked up as she saw a flash of silver in the sky. Nari suddenly dropped again. This time she held a dagger. It was intricate and detailed. Rias's eyes grew wide. nari was heading straight for the group. Nari landed on a rock shelf and shoved the enemies dagger at them. She screeched and flapped her wings. Trrying her hardest to attract their attention. She had to free her mistress and she would help if need be.

Rias noticed they had left and whistled to Nari. WHen she came over, Rias spoke softly. "I want you to untie me Nari. Hurry before they come back." Nari screeched softly and began to bite the ropes. On a few occasions, Nari's beak peirced Rias's skin and she had to bite back her cry of pain. Once her hands were untied, she untied her feet and then her wings. She looked around and immediately shot up into the air. She took a deep breath of freedom. Maybe, she shouldnt have come. No. He wouldnt be able to hurt her children if he didnt know where she was. She sighed. SHe missed her babys. Then again there was one here. And there was a battle going on at the moment. It wasnt safe just wherever. She would keep it safe and then once the war was over, she'd give it back. She frowned. It was a girl child. By the name of Illiana. maybe 2 years old at the most. She nodded. Course she'd have to find out where the child was. SHe took off.

A pure white kitsune with many tails, uncountable from the constant movement that moved through them. The kitsune's golden eyes shined as he watched those in the wilderness. It laid down on the rock that it had found. It simply remained silent, the mischivious glint shining silently there. It breathed slowly as it rested from the days work that was unseen. Maybe it would tease something or someone, but that would be for later, at the moment he just wanted to think about some occurances.

He had been watching, and knew many things, that probably could get him in trouble, but then again, he didn't exactly care much and didn't exactly interact with many people. He was growing old quickly, and despite his eternality, he wouldn't last forever. But for now there was no worry. The creature closed it's eyes and laid in the silence that the forest provided. Other creatures speaking out in the air, and letting those around know of their exploits, or of what they saw. Animals were so gossipy, it was almost obscene really.

The creature sighed as it laid in the sun, basking and shining from the attention the great yellow giant was giving. It rustled some, the tails continuing to move as if they had no greater purpose then to move and confuse an enemy. The creature continued to rest its' weary body, hoping to regain the lost energy.
