Just when she was starting to get a little impatient Lindy’s heart suddenly fluttered as something caught her eye in the glorious morning sun, a pocket watch some dark and mysterious yet strangely cheerful man had pulled from his pocket to examine just down the street ahead her. Lindy had a good eye for unusual things and this watch she could tell was something very special just looking at it made her giddy and in that instant, tall dark and smiley man or not, she resolved that she must have this masterful time keeper. She watched the man slip it back into his pocket and casually stepped into his path making a short dash forward she bumped into him and oh so casually glanced off his pocket watch side and twisting her body continued on in the opposite direction he was travelling taking a few steps backwards and waving at him apologetically with one hand.
“ Sorry! Excuse me! ” She said with a cherry lipped smile batting her snowy white eyelashes at him before turning to skip off through the crowd, almost unable to contain her joy as she felt the weight of the pocket watch grasped in her hand. With any luck the man wouldn't notice the missing weight until she was long gone from the scene of the crime.

Regardless of the result of this chase, what would pain Maximos the most later was not infact that the watch was stolen. It was the fact that he did not recognize its absense immediately.
Quite alright!
He said back with a once believed irrevocable smile plastered on his face. Maximos would turn back into the crowd, and it was a few steps later that he decided, it had be X amount of minutes since his last watch check. And that he should...
He reached his hand into his black trouser pocket...
Several things happened at once.
At first Maximos realized, of course, that the watch was missing. He realized next that he did not, could not, would not, drop it, misplace it or anything of the sort. He was too careful. Entirely too careful. That left theft directly from his front pocket. No one could have approached and pick pocketed him but...
Maximos stopped cold in his steps. His head turned, his shoulders followed, then hips, and feet.
Her.
It had to be. In true form for Mr. Dark logic flushed out emotion, over fear of never seeing the precious time piece again, across a sea of anger, and he very quickly planned his next actions.
Should he call out her name? No. He didnt know it. Calling out "Hey" would only turn the crowd toward him, or toward ignoring him. Saying "Stop" or "Give that back!" were meaningless because if she wanted to stop, or not have his watch she would never have stolen it. If he did not alert her..he had surprise on his side...
Maximos' right eye flared white like a burning torch in the night, wisps of white glow billowing off in unseen and unfelt ethereal wind.
Soul Sight. Max saw not her....but it. It was loved and cherished by him, it held his essence. Though as long as it stood in her grip, that essence would slip away. And it could very well be lost, and the watch itself.
The time to move was now, and he did. Despite the many thoughts and actions which presided over the heartbeat span of time, to onlookers it would look like Maximos had been casually walking, stopped, and the like a fish diving into water he bolted straight into the crowd. Hips body sideways, gliding, sliding and otherwise swimming against the current toward that which was his goal.
His eye was bright, and locked. If she looked back, she'd likely see him. The man bleeding determination like a sliced throat and a wispy white essence from his right eye much the same.
The chase was on.

After waiting a few moments she couldn't stand not to take just the smallest of peeks at her new prize. She opened her palm to look at the watch and was strangely mesmerized by it. Several long seconds passed before she was able to pull herself away from the charming little device, and she hadn't even opened it yet!
Cautiously she glanced around to see if anyone had noticed her in the big crowd. That’s when she saw him out of the corner of her eye, swimming against the current of people on the busy street, gaining on her. However now that she was fully aware of his pursuit it was all too easy for her to pick up her pace into a nice relaxed jog as if she was moving leisurely down an empty street. If anyone cared to pay her close attention they would note quite strangely that she was not somehow expertly navigating the crowd at such a pace but sliding right through them like a ghost, this might be very frustrating to the man now chasing her who would have to push and dodge to make his way.

Excuse me! Pardon me! Sorry Ma'am! Excuse me! I am NOT a pervert! Ow! Coming through! I didnt mean to tou--
It was getting frustrating. He could see her. She was trotting along on a Sunday jog through the park getting farther and farther away. His pocket-watch was ticking in his head right now, a haunting echo of a memory. And with each "excuse me" he was counting down what just might be his last moments with it.
Excuse me!
Fading away...stolen...irreplaceable.
Excuse me!
Maximos was, at heart, most of the time...a good person. He endeavored to help and do what was right in the world. If he could help it, he was never rude. Always kind. Always a gentleman through. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Excuse...me...
His voice sounded was beginning to tear at the edges, like paper held to flame it was curling and burning with his frustration. Do unto others, he always said. And he was always so nice and kind...but sometimes the world just isnt nice and kind back. Sometimes, the world is NEVER nice and kind back.
She was a glow the size of a matchstick now.
EXCUSE ME!
And his voice broke. Maximos shouted and the shout echoed through the shadows under carts, under people, and wherever they may like in a ten foot radius. Everyone froze and stared at him for a moment.
Thank you.
Maximos said kindly, lifting up both hands, taking calm breaths.
Something very dear to me has been taken, and is quickly escaping. So if you would be so kind as to MOVE OUT OF MY FLEEBING WAY!
And Maximos was off. If Lindy looked back now, she would probably wouldnt see that same glowing eye. Not because it wasnt there, but because it was so far off. Max had magic sights to let him see farther. What she might see was something akin to what water does when a dorsal fin slices through it as a shark passes close to the surface...only with people. People were being bowled, shoved, moved and yes once or twice even thrown...out of the fleebing way.
Maximos had asked if they would be so kind. And if they were not inclined to be, they would find themselves being so very kind forcibly. He could console himself later that he had at least asked. Huts and tents were horrible foot falls, but if Lindy got closer to the buildings ahead...Regardless, he was gaining.

Staccato sat at a table inside The White Deer. He was wearing his token all white clothing, and his pair of extra long rings. The day had been long for him, recently returning from a journey which had taken him far away from any hint of civilization. At his return he has found much had changed in the world. There was apparently some sort of war going on or something, and it had clearly swallowed his home town. So he had diverted his original path to instead take him to Latent, which had added another day to his journey, which he was not completely prepared for. In other word, things were just not going his way, and he need to relax.
So there he sat, drinking a drink that was more water then anything else, and pondering weather he should eat here or get a room for the night and sleep off his fatigue.

The bright moon sparkled up in the sky as a young woman began to make her way down the dirt road. Her long snow-white ears bounced a long as she carried a suitcase in her right hand. The beams of light provided by the moon danced down from the sky and caused her ruby red eyes to sparkle ever so slightly in a reflective manner. It must have been two in the morning, and it was definitely not a good time for anyone to be wondering around; especially a female. But Madison wasn’t exactly known for her smarts, and thus she carried down the dirt road rather solemnly. It had been days since Madison decided to leave the Heaven or Hell Tournament. Normally, she would have stayed till the finals to watch the two teams rip one another apart. However, something had been bothering her, something had practically been haunting every waking moment that she had. Ever since the encounter that she had with Maximos within the Crimson Hawk, things had never been the same for her. Every moment that she managed to close her eyes to fall into the depths of her mind, a horror would come to her. Blood.
Screams.
Pain.
Everything.
She had no idea what was going on, nor did she want to tell anyone that things like this were occurring with her. They would only judge her; they would only laugh at her. She didn’t even tell her beloved Shin, for she did not want him to worry. However, because she did not mention it to him, she was forced to walk to Barton from the Crimson Hawk which was located within Latent. But at this point, she had done quite a bit of walking that she was no where near any sort of civilization. It was just her and the dirt road. Madison did not mind a little walk once in awhile though. In fact, she liked going on walks! They were considered to be rather amusing and fun. But with a body that was clearly lacking in sleep, Madison wasn’t exactly enjoying this evening stroll down the road. Her body ached with each step she made as a cold breeze ran down her spine. Thankfully, she was wearing a rather warm white sweater with a hood that had fabric rabbit ears attached for her own pair. It was managing to keep her slightly warmer than if she decided to only stick with her usual attire. With a final sigh, she decided it was time to take a break. Tossing her suitcase, she watched it land on a nice pile of green grass that had been lining both sides of the road. Quickly chasing it, she made herself rather comfortable on the patch she had found and rested. She could feel every part of her body practically want to collapse, but her mind could on think otherwise. She didn’t want to experience another vision; she didn’t want to live within another nightmare. Laying back, she rested her head on her bag and gazed up at the blanket before her. At first she could feel her mind wonder, first wondering if Shin would be worried about her, than she began to think of what GUARDIAN would think. Madison was completely aware that she was supposed to be investigating another area at the moment, but she was on a journey right now, and it was important to her. Her eyes stopped for a moment as she noticed that the small specks of light plastered on the dark background. There were thousands of them, thousands and thousands of little spots dancing in unison. They were so beautiful, so peaceful. It was as though they had no care in the world… Nothing to worry about… Every moment that Madison spent staring up into the dark mass above, she could feel her eyes growing ever so heavy. She wanted to fight it, but it only seemed that sleep had taken its toll as she finally managed to drift off into the night. Sweet Dreams, Little Rabbit.

Sweet Dreams. He said. A dark figure standing over her before her eyes finally shut and everything slipped away. Night, after night, after night, it had all been the same. She was being hunted. A doglike monster, maybe even a werewolf, was stalking her through a dark dank forest which seemed to...no matter where she ran, take her in a circle. She would wake up before its teeth sank in. Sometimes there was no coherence at all, and all Madison was privy to was darkness and brutal flashes of violent and gorey death. Deaths so gruesome that the gore took a second place to the gut wrenching feeling of sympathy for that poor dying thing. Most none of the victims died cleanly. It wasnt every night, some nights nothing came. And because of that chaotic scheduling, fearful anticipation haunted those would be peaceful nights, making them just as horrible. But tonight was different. Tonight Madison closed her eyes and instead of fear, or death, or the hot breath of a snarling maw on her neck. Madison was given calm. It was as if peace and relaxation were a bath and when she shut her eyes she was submerged in it. She was sunk into through the grass, the coolness washed over her. It protected her, as if nature itself was her momentary guardian. And in this bath was music, it sounded something like this. And it was catchy. And it was relaxing. It was the sort of uplifting music that made you want to tap your feet, and sing. And very soon, Madison would be privy to the sound of shrill screeching and squeaking. But it was nothing monstrous, rather, likely, to her and her alone it would be most definitely a familiar voice. Her own. Madison was singing. Her eyes were opening, she was waking into something, her mouth was already moving, and a bright stage light, like a burning sun was searing her eyes. She would be able to smell rust, and hear the breaths and heartbeats of a good amount of people. She was wearing the exact clothes she fell asleep in but, moreover, Madison was on stage! And it was time to perform!

There was darkness.
All she could hear was the sound of music overwhelm her body, as she stood alone in the darkness. A smile filled her face as she listened to the music fill her soul. Slowly she closed her eyes and continued to embrace each of the notes as they played overhead. Once opening her eyes she would notice that something was completely different about the room she was in…
Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin anywhere ….
Madison knew that sound also. The words that were filling the air wasn’t just a convenient soundtrack, but rather her own voice. The sound of her heartbeat practically deafened her as she realized that she was on a stage of some sorts. And there was an audience, a rather large audience in comparison to what she would normally experience. Despite her objections of shyness, the music carried on as well as her voice.
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit He took the midnight train goin anywhere…
As the notes of the song filled the air, Madison looked around to try and see who was in the audience. However, as far as she could tell there was too many of them, and she wasn’t able to see exactly who or what she was facing.
It didn’t really matter anyways.
The music was going to continue.
A singer in a smokey room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on

Oh yes, the music would continue.
And the light would fade as it moved out across the stage to all the other performers on display.
There were none.
It did however become painfully obvious that the stage was not in the best of sorts. Certain floorboards were missing, the wood was yellow, green, and gray where water, rust, and simply age had begun to eat at it. The light moved out across the theatre revealing shabby wallpaper, half hanging from the wall in certain locations, and the dilapidated drywall behind that. Before her eyes adjusted to the point that she could actually see the audience, she would be able to ear the squeaks of their rusted and ancient chairs. This was an auditorium of sorts.
This place had seen better days. Or maybe, even worse, it hadnt.
Slowly, the audience proper was coming into view. At first glance it was plain to see that this crowd simply had to be part of a convention of sorts. They all seemed to be wearing alot of white, or gray. The stagelight swung back behind all the seats, scanning the rear wall of the auditorium. The thick chains on the doors rusted metal doors stood out.
The audience was silent. And yet their locked eyes were nearly palpable. They really were wearing alot of white, and were all men and women, all formally dressed all holding something. Not the same thing, but different things, the only constant factor being that none were empty handed.
The spotlight fell forward casting glow, finally, along the crowd itself. If Madison had not known them already, she knew them now, just as they all knew her.
Doctors.
There had to be a hundred of them, maybe more. And not just formal men in white coats, but women in white dresses with funny white hats. Some held syringes, some held saws, some held clamps, a few held utensils that looked as if they had been used recently, others looked as if they had been used a hundred years ago and were covered in rust.
Truth be told, not everyone wore stark white. Most of the medical professionals in attendance had stains on their garb. Yellow, green, pinkish and tan stains. Some had long coats died a sort of tan color by constant staining and washing.
The most important detail, was that the spotlight was rushing straight down through the crowd and revealing that everyone had their eyes on Madison, and that one by one, row by row, they were beginning to stand up. And advance toward the stage.
The spotlight, rushed through the bottom of the crowd then up on stage, and over to the far corner. And from that far corner came a voice. It belonged to a small child, and could, surprisingly enough hold a note. It said...
Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the ni--what are you doing here?!
The Doctors advanced, a mysterious child with indigo hair pointed a pale accusing finger at her. The show must go on.

Madison blinked as she noticed the quality of the stage. It was odd that such a great performance was not housed by the best of quality. However despite the damages the building may have, it was filled with character, which made it a work of art. Her eyes began to wander yet again noticing the audience a little more clearly. Normally, she would expect the ones who were the most important to her to be there. The elf perhaps, maybe even her dear shadow like friend would be there too. Alas, only disappointment filled her soul as she bear witness to the crowd. She noticed a rather unusual trend that they all seemed to be having. They were all wearing white outfits that seemed to have the impression that they were the cleanest things in the building. In fact the smell of disinfectant filled the air, which caused her stomach to bunch up like a sponge. Just cause she was feeling sick it didn’t mean that the show would stop. Oh no, the spot light continued to move to reveal something that caused the nauseating feeling in her stomach to clench up even more. They were possibly the most cruel and vicious creatures in existence, creatures that were in fact born without a heart or a soul. They were all doctors. What was even worse was the fact that they were heading up towards the stage towards where she was. Panicking, Madison began to look for an exit. Anything would do at this point; a door, a window, even a crack in the wall. Her eyes scurried across the room as though she were a small rabbit looking for a way out. But within this hellhole, everything seemed to be bolted shut. She was trapped with the hellhounds in their rags of death. What was there to do? What could she do? “S-S-Stay away!” Her voice was shaky timid and quiet in it’s normal state. She had difficulties even talking considering that all she could really even feel was the essence of fear bumping through her veins. However, they didn’t stop moving. They only continued moving closer, waving their instruments of death at her. “Stay away from me!” She was a little louder now, however with the sound of the music playing overhead, it was rather hard to hear what exactly the white rabbit was saying. Thus sluggishly they continued to move towards her, she could see their faces much more clearly now. And all of them seem rather excited to look at their newest speciment. “ALL OF YOU, STAY AWAY FROM ME!” Maximos The spotlight, rushed through the bottom of the crowd then up on stage, and over to the far corner. And from that far corner came a voice. It belonged to a small child, and could, surprisingly enough hold a note. It said... Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the ni-- what are you doing here?! The Doctors advanced, a mysterious child with indigo hair pointed a pale accusing finger at her. The show must go on. As soon as the spotlight dropped on the little boy, Madison spotted him. He definitely did not seem to belong within the room, as he was not wearing a uniform like the others. But he did not offer any sort of help, but rather looked at her accusingly as though she did something wrong. “HELP! HELP ME PLEASE!” Her voice was practically on the verge of tears as she spoke. This was possibly one of the most frightening experiences in her life; she didn’t want to be another test subject. There was nowhere for her to go, and more importantly she was too scared to move. Her clenched up stomach now felt like a pile of lead and her legs became like jelly. But that didn’t seem to stop them. Nothing was going to stop this mass of medical professionals.

In an auditorium built for sound, Madison' scream projected and echoed, rebounding of the far walls and then back at her as a hollow shadow of her emotional outcry.
Your not supposed to be here!
The boy shouted, his voice half crossed between confusion and concern. His finger jutted out like a knife, as if, if he poked her he could see whether or not she was real.
The boys tousled deep indigo hair hung raggedly down almost reaching his violet eyes. His skin was as pale as milk, but grimy as any child would be after play. He was wearing a pair of black overalls, with a white and purple cheshire-esque striped tee shirt beneath it, and purple and black shoes, with dingy gray laces. Not a one part of his outfit was clean. Not a one part of pressed.
This is my ni--
“HELP! HELP ME PLEASE!”
There was a pause. An honest hesitation which would likely have seemed an eternity in the face of the unrelenting wall of white. Unlike any number of likely past experiences in hospitals, there was no humorous mistake here. Their dark hollow eyes, their soulless grins...these doctors were infact out to get her.
All of a sudden, just as the first man in white placed a boney pale hand, sporting a rusty bone saw on the edge of the stage and began to pull himself up, the boy moved. His accusing finger became an open, grabbing hand. A small hand which, if she allowed would grab hers and then turn and run.
The main exits were shut, the stage exits were open, and if she was amiable thats where he would take her. It was then she might not that nearly a dozen rings adorned the hand that grabbed hers, and that various odd bracelets hung from his wrist. But there was no time to focus on that. They were exiting, stage left.
The stage exit was a tight hall painted a dull tan color, the pain was chipping and cracking and there was just enough room for one person to fit, but not two side by side. The boy clumsily bumped into walls, in a panic, scurrying as fast as his little legs could carry him. He couldnt be over 10 years old. Behind them, the sound of several people standing on creaking wood and clamouring stage could be heard. Disinfectant was pungent in the air, as was rust, and something like watery blood.
You...you shouldnt be here!
At the end of the hall was a door, which he briskly shoved open with his free hand and immediately whipped around. If all went according to plan, Madison would find herself being tugged into a hallway, as the boy slammed the stage door shut and shoved a hair under the door handle. The hall was long, and wide, meant to fit several dozen little people. This was...a school. Childish paintings lined the walls, of bunnies, of people, of houses, all were crudely drawn, and looked as if they had been hanging on the wall for the last 50 years. Posterboard was hanging crooked, tiles were missing, and everything had a dull and dingy, unkempt look to it. Even the class doors, which each held a small window, were covered in splotches of brown rust and were home to smudged or cracked windows.
With a barricade temporarily in place, the boy whipped around to face Madison, and thats when it became obvious. His eyes were deep and dark, stained with lack of sleep to the point that it looked almost as if he was wearing mascara. And there was something in his chest, something protruding from where his heart should be. It was gold, and shiny, and looked very very much like a dagger, complete with a black stain in his stripped shirt where it might have bled. But before a word could be shared he said.
That wont hold them long, we have to move quick! If this is your first time theres still hope!
He was beginning to back down the hall, he was about to run, but he hesitated just long enough to say.
Whats your name?

Without any hesitation, the rabbit grabbed a hold of the young boy’s and the two of them were on the move. The echoed sounds of their footsteps lingered behind them as well as the smell that caused Madison to want to vomit. Her body didn’t seem to want to run, but with the help of the little boy leading the way it seemed a lot easier. Maximos You...you shouldnt be here! Their running came to a halt as they made their way into another door way into a long hallway. Each of the walls seemed to be lined up with various drawings that were colored rather poorly on what was once white paper. Lightly she began to look at each of the drawings as though they were pieces of art. She had never seen anything quite so unique before in her life. The building that they were currently in seemed to be just as run down as the theater that the performance was in earlier. But instead there was a different smell looming through the air at that moment; it was the smell of mold and dampness. As the young boy began to barricade the main door, Madison began to examine the windows to each of the classrooms. They were blotchy and completely intangible by smears from the process of time. Lightly, using the edge of her sweater she attempted to wipe away some of the grim to get a closer look. Maximos That wont hold them long, we have to move quick! If this is your first time theres still hope! Madison looked over towards him to notice the shiny object located in his chest. It stood out like a rather sore thumb considering that there was a black liquid surrounding it. Despite what the boy said, Madison didn’t quite understand what he meant. It wasn’t that he was speaking another language or anything, but it was rather she wasn’t sure what he was going on about. The long snow-white ears on her head cocked themselves sideways as she looked at him curiously. “What do you mean? My First time?” He looked as though he was ready to run. But there was more to the conversation that was going to be had. “It’s Madison. What’s you-” BANG The conversation seemed to come to a halt as she heard the movement from the barricaded door. They were breaking through, or at least they were trying too. Madison looked down at the young boy and took a rather large gulp in. They didn’t have much time before the barricades broke yet again and they were faced with those soulless beings once again. “…I think we need to move.” She continued to stare at the door for a moment. BANG “Now.” *~* Madison rolled over in her sleep slightly and covered her face with her hand in the grass. She seemed to be rather comfortable, other than the murmurs that seemed to leave her lips whenever she spoke words. “Now.” A small breeze passed through the blades with her quite mumbles as though to provide a blanket of warmth. However, no amount of security was going to help this girl where ever she was.

I'm...I...The boy looked at the door as if it was a monster all its own, each powerful bang bent the metal outwards, before its own weight snapped it back in making it heave like the lungs of some flat and terrible beast. And all that held this beast back was a plastic chair with a metal frame, shaking uncontrollably, and warping ever so slightly with each impact. Through the porthole angry, empty faces could be seen, some dripping red or black down their cheeks. Others gnashing twisted fang filled mouths. THIS MAY STING A BIT! A voice tore from behind the door, echoing down the halls, a terrible thing akin to nails down a chalk board. ...tend to agree. Lets go.The boy said, aiming to snatch up Madison's hand again and burst down the hall. Make no mistake, he was no slouch. For a little boy, he could run pretty good. But he was not a full grown woman, and he most definitely did not have genetically enhanced rabbit strength in his legs. He was clumsy at time, and did seem to favor his left leg, limping slightly with his right. In all cold and honest truth, he was slowing her down. This...this is my nightmare...over and over...for years...he's done this...The boy shouted back, between gulps of breath. I've never been fast enough...if you stay for too long...its impossible to leave...we have to get you to him...then you can...There was the sound of metal screeching and warping and then an explosion of wood and plastic, falling to the ground with a myriad of tiny clicks. Madison would be able to hear the sound of feet shuffling and racing against the decrepit tile floors. She and the nameless boy were just reaching the bend where the hallway split to the left and the right, a fork in the road, and the boy was just about to bank in a direction, when tragedy struck. There was a squeal, the sound of rubber hitting tile in the wrong way at a sharp angle. The boy cried out, a desperate fearful cry and then his hand slipped from hers and he toppled over. His shoelaces were undone, one lace was clearly caught in the rubber design on the bottom of the other shoe sole. There was a rumple, and an audible "tink", as the dagger hit the ground before he managed to toss his weight onto his side. Desperation. It covered his face, his lip quivered, his dark black shaded and sleepless eyes looked up at Madison, already welling with tears. His small hand was still outstretched toward her, either by accident or in plea. His face screamed, please dont leave me. But when his mouth opened, with its pale purplish lips, the boy heroically shouted. RUN! JUST LEAVE ME!To which the Doctors a mere dozen or two feet behind him responded. YOU'LL FEEL SOME SLIGHT DISCOMFORT!

Before the boy was able to inform her about what she was to call him, there was a rather loud interruption from a shrilled voice from behind the bent metal door. The sound caused Madison to jump in a startled fashion as well as let out a little scream that also echoed within the empty building that they were in. It wasn’t long till the two of them were off yet again. Each footstep that they made against the floor caused even loud smacks to hit the ground. As the young boy led the way, Madison looked over her shoulder to see if they were still being followed. It seemed that was definitely a matter of fact. Her attention snapped forward yet again as the young boy she was with began to call back to her. Maximos This...this is my nightmare...over and over...for years...he's done this... The boy shouted back, between gulps of breath. I've never been fast enough...if you stay for too long...its impossible to leave...we have to get you to him...then you can... Madison blinked rather confusingly as she heard the boy talk. It wasn’t that she couldn’t hear what exactly he was saying. But she didn’t seem to understand what the boy was meaning by a nightmare. She was positive that they were still in Latent at this point in time. Or at least… She was pretty sure she was in Latent. THUNK!She felt her arm fall forwards as the young boy toppled down to the ground. As he fell, she body moved a few steps forwards still making her a head of him. Once coming to a halt, Madison turned around to face him. He was in near tears as he looked up to her with eyes filled with sorrow. His small tiny hand was reaching for hers, it was pale and frail. His eyes only seemed to show that he wanted her to stay with him. However, he seemed to say otherwise. “…No.” Quickly, she crouched down towards where he was and grabbed onto his hand. As fast as she could, she tried to help him up onto his little shoes. Madison wasn’t going to leave this young boy to the mercy of these monsters. Maximos YOU'LL FEEL SOME SLIGHT DISCOMFORT! The sound of the shrilled voice caused her to look up and almost shriek yet again in horror causing her to drop the young boys hand. Every inch of her body wanted to help him. But every inch of her knew that even if they were running or if she was carrying him, he was going to slow her down no matter what. She knew it would be wrong for her to leave him would go against her training and every moral fiber in her body. However, she knew if she held onto him, he was going to be the reason why she got caught. Live or die. Make your choice. “…I’m sorry.” With tears in her eyes Madison stood to her feet and ran. She could feel the overwhelming sensation of guilt fill her mind as she left the nameless boy to his end. Madison had made her choice.

He expected her to run. If she had just run, it would have been okay. But there was hope. She grabbed his hand, he pushed his other hand under him, and tried to scuttle his feet under him, but they accidentally slipped on his baggy pant legs.
He heard the Doctor's nightmarish scream, and his bright, almost pink, violet eyes feel on Madison's blood red pools. There as hope on his face. A desperate chance that this dream would end different. He pulled her hand for support, and his hand slid from hers. Madison, as she stuck around long enough to say.
“…I’m sorry.”
Would also be around long enough to see the hope drain from his face, betrayed, hollow, empty...and alone. And then she took off. In seconds the rabbit would have turned the corner. But seconds would not take her so far that she could not hear his screams, first shrill, then wet.
This hall was not the same as the last. To her immediate right was a door marked Janitor. And then, unlike the last halls which held classroom doors, were locks. Easily a hundred lockers, and past that, was a large set of double doors marked Exit. And another fork in the road. Choices.
But that was a long distance away. Right now Madison had to deal with her immediate choice, and the repercussions of such. Some horrible, some otherwise. The boys words echoed unwillingly in her mind.
This...this is my nightmare...over and over...for years...
There were hundreds of medical monsters behind her. If given the choice between the same small little boy they'd had for years on end, or a full grown women they'd never touched...who would seem more appealing? There were more than enough Doctors to deal with both. Which meant, they were right on her heels. She had to run hard, and run fast, and run now.
This inexorably lead to the next replay in her mind.
...if you stay for too long...its impossible to leave...we have to get you to him...
There was a time limit. An exit, or an individual she had to find. Somewhere. Or she was caught...but where?
And her only guide, had just fallen as dead silent as the grave, lost behind a wall of rushing monstrosities. Which left Madison a hallway full of lockers, two possible turns, and a large set of doors far to conveniently marked exit. But most of all, it left her with the burning question....
WHERE ARE YOU GOING MADISON?!
