Me and another gaia member had a dissagreement on regional stuff that lead over adebate of the current goverment in China.

Falwell told one crowd "gay folks would just as soon kill you as look at you."
He said this about Martin Luther King: "I do question the sincerity and non-violent intentions of some civil rights leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King
Falwell has also said, "Labor unions should study and read the Bible instead of asking for more money. When people get right with God, they
are better workers."
Just some of them. I mean, who would actually be against Martin Luther King?? Who DOESN'T want to end segregatoin?? I mean come on..... mad mad Who in their right mind says God had Sep. 11 happen because of queers and secularists living in America? confused confused lol lol

I think regional stuff gets in the way. If I want to watch a DVD from Japan, I shold not have to buy a region free DVD playe or a DVD-drive set on that region. He says the regional coding is to cut down on pirating. I just didn't see that it would keep people from pirating.
It then lead to making a comment about China having no copyright laws. He said they do have copyright laws but that are not enforce. I said if a law s not enforce then there is no law. It is just words on paper to make them look like they are for something. Then it lead to the point were I said we should have let Japan beat China in WWI and not listen to Churchill and tht China will be the downfall of America. I still think China, like Russia, is waiting for the right moment to over take us.
The guy would not believe what the Chinese goverment does. How much control they have over their people and will kill anybody that wants a change of goverment.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you on all that. Something is only really law if it is enforced. I hate region specific DVDs too. neutral

It is bad when I can go to a bind of DVD for $5.00 and find that they are region free where as the big titles are only for one region. I think games should be region free as well. I want to play Namco X Capcom but the companies will not release it in the USA.
