He was angry with Miguel for not allowing others to help him. Kirean didn't understand his need to always protect himself and never ask for help either. He had wanted to help Miguel but wasn't allowed and let himself be pushed away. Kirean was probably selfish too for running away without so much as where he was going.
Abel continued to walk beside Miguel down the road. He wasn't in the mood to talk to Kirean tonight. Though he hadn't informed him he was in Germany. Abel could likely request he return home though there was still a full week on his plane ticket before his return. He heard Miguel question him again. Abel shrugged mostly to himself. "Who knows…I hope so…" He responded unsure of his words.

Alone, a talk between them a talk probably wasn't for the best. If Jakob was going to talk to Kieran, he wanted it to be in public. He knew that Kieran was still angry with him and likely wanted to hurt him. Jakob didn't regret putting himself above his loved ones. Why should they get hurt or die for something he did? It wasn't right, and he didn't get why Kieran couldn't understand that. Maybe it was his pride or ego, he didn't know and at this point he was beyond caring. If they were lucky, Cornelius had forgotten all about them and his stupid vendetta.
Continuing down the street, Jakob couldn't help asking about Kieran. Abel was his only outside link to him. If anyone knew what was going on with him, it would probably be Abel. However, he understood if he didn't want to talk anymore about him. He didn't know what Abel might be feeling towards Kieran at the moment. Was he mad, upset? He didn't know and he probably wouldn't with the way Abel kept him on a need to know basis. Questioning the male again, Jakob heard the uncertainty in Abel's voice. He felt bad for asking, as he had hoped Abel could provide him the answer he wanted to hear. Reaching out, he took the males hand into his own. "Well, I guess we have a few days to try and figure it out then." he said with a small smiled.

He was angry at him but wasn't sure for which reason, he had a few. Abel continued to walk down the street with Miguel. He could understand his worry however he didn't know how to comfort him when he honestly didn't know the answer. Abel felt Miguel soon take his hand as he listened to him speak. He held onto Miguel's hand as they walked, smiling at his enthusiasm.

Now was not exactly the time to run off on a vacation, plus he did exactly know such meaning either. He had never really traveled out of the United States, much less Illinois. Abel was very much a homebody.
Even if he didn't show it, he was happy to be here. Abel had missed Miguel more than he had realized. Sure they had been conversing via texts but it wasn't the same. He allowed himself the small happiness for what it was as he held onto Miguel's hand as they walked down the street. They had never done such a thing back home.

If there was anything he was grateful towards Abel for, it was his uncanny ability to keep his composure. Even in a time of crisis, he still somehow managed to keep himself together. Jakob had never really learned such a skill. It was one of his many flaws, both as a person and an assassin. In his head, he often thought he keeping himself in check. But somehow, someway someone like Abel, Kieran, or even Cornelius would see right through him. It made him realize just how lacking he truly was and wondered in hindsight what else gave him away. It was likely nothing short of a miracle that he had somehow survived all those years in such a position. But it was in the past, even if Abel's work was not. For just a little while he hoped that Abel would be able to have something of a vacation, even if it was a short one.
Walking down the next block, Jakob relaxed a little as he held the man's hand. He too had missed hanging out together with him. He realized they'd never really done something like this back in Chicago. The closest thing Abel had done to taking him out was the time they went to that gentleman's club. Any other time he was with him was either at his home or in the night club. It was almost surreal to be walking with him like this and just holding his hand. He didn't want to allow himself to delude into thinking it was a date. For now just being with him would have to suffice. "I have another question." he asked, glancing up towards the man. "Have you ever been to Germany before?" It was a simple enough question. One he thought might help them figure out what to do from now until Abel went home. Jakob didn't mind the idea of playing tour guide.

Indeed they had never been on a date, the closest was to the gentlemen's club though that was hardly a date. Back then Miguel wasn't his to claim even now he wasn't. However he just wanted to enjoy his time with Miguel now for what it was worth. He continued down the street with Miguel not sure where he was going. Abel soon heard Miguel question him. He glanced toward him, not surprised by his question. Abel smiled but shook his head. "No, I've never been…" He responded as he continued walking. Abel had wanted to visit but never found a reason till now.

Abel would likely never admit such feelings after all what good would it do now. They both lived in different worlds and he was merely visiting.
Of course the tickets were expensive but for his case, he would dread it if he hadn't checked on Miguel. Abel also hardly cared about the cost, it wasn't as if he was poor. He listened as Miguel questioned him about some thoughts. Abel hadn't really given the whole tourist view much attention. However, being escorted by Miguel intrigued him. "Hm, I hadn't really thought of it though I'm sure you could always show me." He teased at the idea of Miguel playing tour guide.

Jakob knew that Abel would never be his. Even if they did share similar feelings, it would never happen. They were too different now. Abel in his world, and Jakob in his. Even if they could get past such a silly detail, the distance alone would drive him insane. It would exactly like the last two years but worse. He would likely spend his time pining away while Abel made another excuse not to come see him. Painful as it sounded, he was okay with being his friend. He could still hold his stupid hand, make jokes, and spend time with him. And if the man would allow it, just maybe, he would get one kiss out of him before he left.
Guilty as he was for dragging him out here, he was glad that Abel had taken the chance to check on him. He knew it was expensive, and he didn't care that Abel could easily afford it. Hell, he could probably afford a lot of things if he truly wanted to. But the fact that he came anyway was something that Jakob would not be forgetting anytime soon. Together they made their way down the second block as Jakob continued his line of questioning. He was glad for the darkness surrounding them as his cheeks warmed and turned shades of pink due to Abel's teasing. He smiled back at the male and gave a small nod. "I can think of a few quiet places, you might like. Or if you wanted something a little more exciting, we're not too far from Berlin. It's only a four hour train ride."

Abel chose not to dwell on the past or what ifs. He continued walking with Miguel as he teased him. Abel glanced to see Miguel nod beside him. He listened as he spoke, curious to know where he wanted to take him. Abel nodded, "Sure, we'll see where your travels take us." He responded not at all put off by the idea of Miguel taking him anywhere. Abel was curious to explore the city for what it was worth.

He hadn't questioned him on it years ago, just accepted the terms. However, now that he was here, he was curious. Abel wanted to see the hidden life of here while Berlin was probably more flashy with too many people. He wanted a chance to enjoy both sides. Abel listened as Miguel soon teased him. "Oh, no doubt." He teased Miguel again as they continued down the street.
