We had Lissa's party today...Angiemadem's Sienna tried to WILL the walls of my parent's house to REARRANGE themselves for her and the little push car. She even pointed at it and cursed it out in baby jibberish when it refused to move with her.
Oh and my living room looks like a bomb made of Disney princesses, Polly Pockets, and all things girly exploded!

The party went well. Garrett and I survived. Garrett did need some soothing right after everyone arrived. He wouldn't let anyone hold him. Then after I got him some juice and set him on the floor, he did real well. Everyone was eating and so he was able to aproach them on his own terms. It was the cutest thing! He was such a social butterfly. He was held by almost everyone. But he had to instigate it. he didn't want to be handed to anyone. Once everyone figured that out we just let him crawl to everyone on his own terms. It was so cute he would crawl over climbe up the pant legs and reach up. Then when he was done he would squirm and reach down when he wanted to go. I think the initial hubub of everyone at once scared him a little. He got startled when he grabed his cake. Everyone laughed and then he looked up realising he was the center of attention, and cryied. after his sisy took his hand to lick it off and then offerd him his own had he warmed up to digging in to his cake.

Nopen~ I think when Seinna turns into a teenager I will be hiding at your place, if she is this stubborn now. gonk I'm scared! I bet your going to be finding polly pocket everywhere for a good month. Man, Lissa made out like a bandit. But she's so cute she diserves it!

Hey everyone! Wow! Lots of great stuff has happened to my fellow GPG'ers since I've been gone. Congrats on all the new babies, new achievements, and birthdays!
My summer has been really insane. Tetravus, Zoe, and I came to Tennessee for the summer to stay with my parents. WE've been living in Oklahoma for the past 4 years, but our families are in Tennessee. Tet taught high school last year but didn't want to teach again in Oklahoma if he didn't have to so he spent the summer looking for a job. A week and a half ago, he finally got a job teaching high school in Tennessee..
Here's the crazy part: In the last three weeks: -Tetravus went from having no prospects for a job to getting an interview, second interview, and then the job. -Zoe, my mom, and I went to Florida for a week where we met up with one of my best friends and her family. -Tet and my dad went to Oklahoma to put our condo on the market. They were in Oklahoma for 28 hours. -The day after we got back from FL, Tet, Z, and I headed back to OK to pack our condo and move everything to TN. -My dad flew to OK to help us move on Saturday. -We drove back to TN Sunday. -Tet started his new job Monday.
Now comes unpacking and getting settled. We're living with my parents for the foreseeable future since our condo hasn't sold and the season for selling condos is almost over.
It's strange going from owning our own place to living in two bedrooms in my parents' house, but I'm excited that Zoe will get to grow up around both sets of her grandparents. Needless to say her grandparents are thrilled about this.

Ritza that's awsome. So glad to hear you'll get to be with you family, and congrats to Tetravus on the new job. I hope your condo will sell soon.

crying I am so envious right now, Ritz. We just came back from vacation and I've been feeling so bad all day about how Ethan doesn't get to have his grandparents while he's growing up. We're from WI, but Chris is stationed in TX, which is just too far away to visit regularly.
I hope that condo sells and fast.

Congratulations. ^_^ I'm glad you guys are happy with the move.
Living near family isn't all it's cracked up to be for me. There is a lot of drama that I could have avoided if I'd stayed in Maryland. XD
It could be worse I guess. I'd still rather there be a bit more space between us sometimes. XD
