Yen Quest Tisha the Jackle *in deep thought* I dono, its just not quite right. Neither are mine. *head desks* Lol, I'm having a hard time figuring it out too. ...Maybe it's the background...? o.o; Almost everything is symmetrical except for the checkered floor. The lines seem to curve, so maybe that's what causing the color balance to look off. I could be wrong though. It's inked D= theirs no fixing it

Tisha the Jackle It's inked D= theirs no fixing it -rereads your other post- Forgot that the pic's done on paper. My bad. sweatdrop You said that my example lacks yellow on his outfit, right? Is it because there is so much yellow on the bottom half of the picture (overall picture)? If that's the case, maybe you could go with a gradient effect for the floor. The closer the checkers are toward the user, the lighter the yellow will be.

Uh.. Any suggestions for a theme? I kinda started with the primary colour thing right now.
Tisha- Wow. That's a really cute drawing of Loyal. biggrin
I'm sure any colour scheme would look nice. Though, try picking one or two main colours and choose compliments around it.

 Try to make the floor softer or lighter colors than Loyal, that way Loyal pops out more, since he's supposed to be the main attention grabber. If you just have a bunch of super bright colors its going to look like a mess. Just make the background softer.
And out of curiosity are you using Photoshop or Sai?

Silent Cartoon Try to make the floor softer or lighter colors than Loyal, that way Loyal pops out more, since he's supposed to be the main attention grabber. If you just have a bunch of super bright colors its going to look like a mess. Just make the background softer.
And out of curiosity are you using Photoshop or Sai? Neither. Im on a mac. Photostudio. I guess its a crap version of photoshop? Cause Ive seen what photoshop can do. And its worth 500 bucks for a reason. XD Mine is only worth 80 (came with the mac) Also, Im digitally coloring this as a test. The actual product will be traditionally colored. Just, Im testing colors now, cause once the pencil hits the paper, ya know, its not fixable.

Card: Hm? I thought you picked the color scheme based off of the three circus (Gothique's being red, Noire's being yellow, and Stelle being blue). The color choice is Circus-y enough to work with (including the dark gray and black for bullet notes and text). I think the last thing you need is the icons and some text font for the posts' title/banners.
Silent: I agree with what you said. Loyal should stand out, and to do that is to use bolder colors. It is kinda hard to do that if you plan on having him wearing a color scheme that isn't your typical black/white/yellow/orange though. Maybe that Valentine outfit would do?
Tisha: Mac huh? Out of my league there, lol (never really got into Mac). Photoshop lags on my old computer, and I just can't stand it anymore. xD
