tommy and reaper defeated the ghost type foes, and scurried off. tommy decided he would go to a pokemon center to heal his pokemon, and then head to the gym. he made a gesture towards the door to show reaper they should leave.

tommy amazingly caught up again. it was neck in neck... and tommy stopped knowing if he kept going he would have ran right into the counter, flipped over it, and to... he just couldnt have that happen. so he stopped outside of the doors, wondering what would happen to reaper because of his recklessness, like when reaper and crawdaunt coming into eterna, and flying into the forest. only time would tell...

tommy tsked, and walked in, leaving reaper on the ground, saying idiot in japanese. (BAKA). tommy handed his pokemon to nurse joy, and got his pokemon healed fairly quickly, since nobody in his team had gotten hurt much. by the time he walked outside, reaper had just gotten up. tommy decided to go back in to wait for reaper to get his pokemon healed.

tommy, growing impatient by the second, is still waiting for reaper to finish healing.

"ok, lets go to the gym now (finaly). are you gonna challenge first, or am i going to." tommy asked, ready to go.

tommy followed suit. they arrived at the gym. they enter. tommy walks up to the leader, Gardenia, and requests a battle. the request is excepted. before the battle started, she explained three pokemon only. tommy nodded, and the battle went under way.

gardenia started with her turtwig. "go, pineco!" pineco came out. pineco was faster. pineco used toxic spikes. poisonous spikes were scattered across the field on Gardenias side. turtwig used curse, raising its attack and defense, while lowereing its speed. pineco started using pin missle on the foe. the first four pin missiles hit turtwig hard, but the fifth one missed. still, the type disadvantage dealt turtwig massive damage. turtwig used crunch on pineco. pineco took a lot of damage, but was otherwise ok. pineco finished off with bug bite, which was super effective, stealing turtwigs oran berry, replenishing health to it self, and KOing turtwig. turtwig was returned.

next gardenia sent out cherrim. cherrim landed on the poison spikes, poisoning cherrim. cherrim is faster. cherrim used sunny day, making it very sunny. pineco let off another round of pin missles, this time only three hitting. cherrim still took a lot of damage due to type. cherrim took effect from the poison. then, cherrim used solar beam. pineco took a nasty beam of light, taking heavy damage. but once again, pineco used bug bite, taking cherrims oran berry, replenishing health, but this time, cherrim barely held on. even even with the effects of poison, she held on. cherrim used solar beam again, KOing pineco.

tommy sent out aron. aron was in battle, and cherrim fainted from the poisoning.

Gardenia sent out her last pokemon, a roserade. roserade would have been poisoned but was poison type. roserade was evidently faster, and used weather ball. aron was hit hard by the fiery ball thrown from the heavens, but the attack was weakened by arons rock type. aron used metal burst, leaving roserade dwindling by a thread. then, roserade ate his oran berry. roserade used weather ball again, this time KOing aron.

tommys last pokemon. tommy sent out zigzagoon, telling him to use quick attack, and ultimately ending the match. tommy had won. tommy took the badge happily. tommy went to sit in the stands. gardenia quickly healed her pokemon for the next battle.

with both have beaten the gym, the two headed back to base, and got back to HQ. tommy fell into his bed greatfully, and fell into slumber.
