. . . I'm beginning to wane from Gaia again. Wondering why I am still here. I have all the items I dreamed of on Magni, nearly all my friends are gone (present conversation obviously excluded), not involved in any RP or groups that are active . . . just wondering why I am still here.

True, you've accomplished your long-standing goal. To be completely honest, we could always communicate through another venue. If you start thinking about it seriously enough to actually jump ship, please let me know how I can contact you.

Arigato! heart
Still, I'd rather not see the RPR place truly die, if possible.

I've tried walking away from Gaia many times over the years . . . and yet somehow I keep coming back. Honestly though, I do not really see the roleplay returning to the site. crying

It's a convenient forum (may just be habit, I suppose), and I like the RPR, even if it is practically a ghost town at present. RPing not returning to Gaia as a whole or just the RPR? It has waned from both, sadly.

I feel it has waned from the site in general, and by extention the Refuge. It saddens me, but such is the stat of things. You yourself warned me that this place would die completely before it would resurge. The latter part is still in doubt, but the first half has certainly come to pass.

Well, the RPR's resurgence is not a guarantee. I more saw the trend as being unavoidable until it ran its course. Now we're in a situation where it could change.

Your optimism is appreciated, old friend. Even if I do not share it. sweatdrop

It feels strange to be called an optimist when I'm a realist/pessimist IRL. xd

I have lived my life being somewhat pessimisstic . . . but lately trying to get me some optimism. It does seem to make things better, somehow. sweatdrop

I don't think it's so simple, b/c optimism is quite unappealing to a pessimist. It'd take a gradual process, I think.

The only evidence I have is highly subjective- my own. When I made it a point to tell myself "Positive!" and then find something positive about an encounter or day, my mood improved, and the "good" in life started to come my way. I won't say my life turned around in a heartbeat, but it was easier to see solutions to problems and to just in general say "all will be well."
