When she grabbed his wrist, his heart thumped hard and made him waver in his seat. Girls never grabbed him anywhere. His last contact had been with Tammy... "Uh...look? S-sure." He relaxed his arm some so she wouldn't have to force it down.

Tenderly, as gently and expertly as a surgeon, she stretched his arm out and gingerly uncurled his fingers with her own slender, pale ones, and stared down into his palms, eyes wide with interest adn concentration, tilting her head this way and that.

She lifted a finger, tracing a particular line in his palm tenderly, curiously,

"Who is this?"

Hiyoshi couldn't help but giggle some at Ashili's words. Are you interested in Shinji? she purred, leaning to her lifetime friend. How long has this been in you? Her voice seemed teasing, but she was harmless in her questionings. She knew Ashili wouldn't make mention of it unless it was something she wanted to share, anyways, so she didn't make an attempt to keep herself hushed.

Shinji's eye twitched slightly as he looked to Aiji, 'her' voice being the only one he caught. What's that supposed to mean, Aiji-san? he grumbled, crossing his arms over the mesh that clung to his chest.

Hotari laughed softly, feeling somewhat foolish. I'm sorry, Miyo...I'm not sad...I'm not...she insisted, clinging tightly to the other's hands. I just...That...You ... she paused a moment to collect her thoughts before letting out a nervous laugh. That was just...everything I wanted to hear in my life...She blushed rather profusely, and leaned in to kiss the silken, pale hands she held.

Rei sighed after a moment of holding his breath, letting himself fall into Tatsumi's charms, letting his lips move against the other's.

Rohan watched her, admitting to himself that he liked the feeling of her fingers tracing the lines on his palms. He'd never had his palm read before so he wasn't sure what she was looking at. When she spoke, Rohan just blinked and looked down at the line she had traced, not quite understanding. "I don't really name the lines on my hand...so I don't know."

She paused and laughed, brightly, shaking her head.
"Nonono, look," she tilted his palm back towards him a littl, finger laid beside a particular line,
"This one means there is someone in your life, or was, who you're hurting over, but it seems to be going away a little. The line, not the hurt. But the line going away means the hurt's going away, too."

A faint pink tint rose to Rohan's cheeks, his free hand raking through his hair. "I-I knew that." He laughed slightly then looked down at his hand as she explained. "I guess that would be Tammy." He slumped slightly then sighed. "We feel in love...I think...but she hasn't been around for months. I've been trying to move on since then."

Lena's jaw nearly dropped as she heard what was being said. 'not again... please, not again...' was all she could think, as she sat there, hanging her head some.

She watched him for a long time, smile fading, her face becoming open and serious. After a moment, she nodded, affirmatively and said, softly, nodding to herself,
"She's an idiot."

Rohan just stared at her for a moment after she'd made her bold statement. "Wha? But...she's really not. Tammy's very nice and caring. She just...hasn't been around in a long time." He shifted uncomfortably in his seat knowing full well that he now concidered himself single. But if Tammy came back, would he take her back? Or would he just be friends? And if she didn't then he'd just have to move on...like he was doing now.

She shook her head, lightly, titling her head down so that her hair covered her face again.
"It's cruel. Nobidy should be left alone without a word like that. Ever. By anyone."
She nodded to herself, as if reassuring herself of the fact, then, suddenly, as if just realizing she still had it, let his hand go, folding her own in her lap.

Rohan watched her, almost wanting to ask if she had been left by someone...but he knew it wasn't his business. "But I'm ok, really. I still have hundreds of years ahead of me to find someone." He smiled some hoping to see her smile again.

She looked up at him, studying him for a moment, before her own smile did creep back, slowly.

"You will. I know. You're wonderful."

She blushed, brightly, and took a long drink, looking intently in every direction but his.

Rohan blushed as well then raked his fingers through his hair. "You're pretty nice yourself. I don't get to meet people like you often." He tilted his head then smiled slightly. "I mean, I do meet people and they're nice but they're not you."

She looked up at him, wide-eyed, looking embarrased and murmured, softly, givin off the same vibe as a dog with it's tail between it's legs, or a chastised kitten.
"What's that mean? I mean . . . I'm odd. I know. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have bothered you when you were obviously just coming over to get your hat and I'm really really sorry if I interrupted anything and . . . "
Par usual, she stopped midsentance, realizing she was babbling,a dn talking far too quickly.

"Nono, that's not what I meant!" He waved his hands and shook his head, knowing he'd say something stupid. "I just meant...you're a great person in your own way. I'd like to get to know you better, if you want, that is. I know I can be a bit..boring to hang around. Probably why I have hardly not friends..." He scratched his head lightly as he voice faded out. Was he boring?

She looked up, slowly, studying him for a moment before a slow, shy smile spread across her face.
"I think that I would like that very much."
She glanced at his hand and back up at him again.
"And you aren't boring. You like greeen things. And working with wood. That's neat. I like it too. At the foster home I used to have a little patch of garden, but their real son hated me, so he told his parents h wasnted a basketball goal, and whined and moaned about it until they tore out my garden and put int hat stupid, ugly slab of concrete, and I don't know why because the little brat was too fat to play basketball anyway."
