leonard finally made a move, shifting, moving, without really getting up, so he was behind her, a leg on either side, pulling her against his chest and holding her there in a hug. "do you think i can atone?" leonard asked, eyes closed.

Leonard held her against him quietly for a while, then finally spoke again. "Thank you." Leonard said, kissing the back of her head, gently. right before he stood, still holding on to her. "But im afraid i have to do one more evil act before I start trying to Atone again." Leonard said, throwing her towards the water.

Len cried out as she fell into the water. She surfaced in her most comfortable form; a cat. Her meows sounded like whining as she tried to paddle towards shore.

Feeling a bit bad about it now, Leonard walked into the water and scooped her up again, carrying her to the fire once more, as well as retrieving his coat from the water, and breathing fire onto the fireproof material. dry immedeatly, he sat down, holding Len in his lap gently.

Once she was on his lap, it was then that she decided to exact her revenge. She violently shook the water off of her to try and drench him.

Leonard had anticipated that particular form of revenge, since Len was a furred animal, and the water hit his barrier, behind which he grinned. "Oh come now, youd have done the same thing in my place." Leonard said, smirking.

Len shook until most of the water was off her coat. Then she decided to do what a lot of cats do when they are trying to get comfortable.
She dug her little claws into his legs like they were scratching posts. She moved her paws in a motion that was almost like she was kneading bread.

Leonard didnt have a barrier up to block claws, and as such, her claws dug in easily. he didnt flinch however. didnt even tense. he simply took the pain and ignored it.

Flicking another bit of water off of her fur, she lay down on his lap.

Leonard leaned back gently after a while, using one hand to pillow his coat under his head, and closed his eyes, just letting his mind drift.

Leonard eventually dozed off himself, not moving, but suffering through nightmare after nightmare, of each of his atrocities coming back to haunt him.
