Pippeh was in absolute heaven! She was riding the beautiful arcanine and not getting fried to a crisp! Oh how she could get one of her own. Then maybe Jaidev wouldn't be so protective of her...she hoped. "Oh Basil this is absolutely amazing." she said with glee as she released one hand from his fur and gave him a scratch on his head. She wished that she could share this experience with Jaidev but she knew the little cubone would not allow herself to be seen atop of another pokemon.

Once again, Effie left Alastair feeling very confused, as if he had missed an entire section of the conversation. Had he blacked out?! Had he, at some point, called her fat?! Or was she suddenly offended now about his horror movie comments about her skin color?! Or what if… what if, earlier, when he had been flailing around like an epileptic magikarp, he had inadvertently groped her? For all of his perverted comments, even he had his limits; touching people who didn’t want to be touched went far beyond his personal limits, but had he been really that confused? It could happen… it really could…
They had been good friends the day before, but suddenly today everything was all ‘RAWRG, EAT ALASTAIR’S TASTY FACE’, so something must have happened… but what? Oh… wait… he did get a little pissed off at the scientists… maybe Effie was pissed because he had been a little cruel to them? That could be it, he realized… but, still. It was necessary. Maybe. She shouldn’t take it so personally. It was simply irrational…
Feeling exhausted, he sighed and abandoned the rest of his dinner, stopping only to clean out the frying pan he had borrowed. He wanted to go to sleep, but he had a feeling that Effie wouldn’t want to see him in the same wagon.
Well, s**t. Did that mean he was sentenced to the proverbial couch?

… I’ve always wondered about that saying. Is pie really that simple? I saw Alastair’s mother make one. It seemed to involve a lot of yelling at others to get out of her way because she was holding a very sharp knife. And the growlithes kept getting in the way too. There seemed to be a lot of chaos that day, Con said, almost wisely. Pie wasn’t even simple to eat! It was messy! Messy, messy, messy! Not that the houndoom really minded the mess… it was just that he would have preferred things to be easier to eat. Like meat!
There were no clever sayings about meat, were there?
Ah, dearest Ryou. You set my heart aflutter with your amazing meat-bringing abilities, the pale houndoom joked as the umbreon oh-so-effortlessly floated the ham to the ground. The umbreon’s powers over the dark were a lot stronger than his own, which made tiny Ryou very useful for getting things off of high shelves. Momentarily distracted by the human drama over at the fireplace, he spared a moment to glance over there. Bah. Ham was more important than petty human drama. Is your human alright? he asked eventually, remembering how tiny Kazuki was. Probably took the poisons far worse than the other humans.

The white canine barked happily, but decided it was time to bring the ride to an end. ...but not before he had a good sprint! He wiggled his behind a bit before launching himself across the fields, heading back toward the wagons at top speed. Well, not top speed, but rather fast. He didn't want Pip to go flying off now, did he? No, of course not! He wouldn't be a good boy then, and he wouldn't get any attention or cookies if that happened.
He slowed to a halt and laid down so the purple-haired trainer could get off, and he looked up at her, panting, thumping his fluffy tail against the ground and giving her his best 'I was a good boy, right?' look, hoping to get some treats for his efforts.
The dark-type blinked at the houndoom's comment on the saying 'easy as pie.' He hadn't given it all that much thought before, really. "(Huh, I suppose pie isn't that simple. I wouldn't know, Kazuki never makes it.)" Speaking of which... "(No, he's fine. More tired than a lot of the other trainers, I think, but he's sleeping right now. I would be too, from how bad it affected me, but I'd rather have some delicious ham~)" he purred, surrounding the delightful treat in a ring of dark blue energy, which swiftly constricted the ham and cut it clean in two rather unequal pieces. That done, the petite umbreon sank his small fangs into the smaller piece with unbridled delight. Ham would always be one of his favorite foods. "(And of course I do,)" he said through a mouthful of ham, grinning at the houndoom's choice of words. "(That's because my meat-bringing abilities are unmatched.)"

Boy was the trainer enjoying her ride upon the white arcanine. She wished she could do it all the time instead of just this once. As Basil sprinted off she couldn't help but laugh as the arcanine flew across the ground. Though shortly after he started his sprint he ended the ride. Hopping off Basil's back she thought about the awesome ride she just had. "Thank you so much!" she gave the arcanine a big hug. After the hug she dug into her bag and pulled out THREE cookies and gave them to Basil. "You deserve them for being so nice and giving me a ride." she said with a smile as she heard a panting coming from behind her.
"Hi there Jaidev! You missed out on such an awesome ride!" she said to the tired cubone. Turning her attention back to Basil she gave the arcanine a scratch behind the ears for a few moments. "Sorry Basil but I should be going back to my wagon and getting some shut eye I'm afraid. But I'll come see you again soon!" she said as she pulled out another cookie and gave it to Basil before turning and walking back in the direction of her wagon. She knew she needed an arcanine for her team someday. Jaidev just gave a tired growl at Basil and she to followed her trainer back to their wagon.

The silver-eyed canine barked happily and gobbled up all the offered cookies, thumping his tail vigorously on the soft grass. He licked Pip's cheek before she left with the tired out Jaidev, who he ignored yet again, and he trotted off to find his short trainer. He wasn't hard to find, as the white arcanine knew the human's scent like the back of his paws, and swiftly found Kazuki curled up in his sleeping bag. The run with Pip on his back had chipped away at some pent-up energy, and the large dog yawned rather loudly before flopping down around his trainer. He stretched out his back legs before resting his head on his forepaws, slowly allowing his eyelids to droop down before drifting off to sleep, where his dreams rained bones and treats and attention was non-stop.

 It took Kayla a while to go to sleep last night. She was very anxious that more troublemakers like what had happen yesterday would happen again. She tried to stay awake as long as she could but as minutes turned to hours, she was having difficultly keeping her eyes open. Quin and Grinch had no trouble going back to sleep, the little bastards. Mind you, they were curled up next to Adira's laying form, who was wide awake, scanning the area for possible intruders.
"Do you notice anything strange, Adira?" Kayla asked, hoping to hear what she wanted to hear but what she wanted to hear was splitted. She wants to her that everything was safe and no danger was nearby. Then she could maybe rest in peace. While on the other hand, she wants Adira to tell her that she smells or hears something strange and that would mean she was right to stay awake and would keep doing so until they were truely safe.
With baited breath, Kayla waited for Adira to respond to her. She could see that Adira heard her question and looked around, intensifying her hearing and sense of smell to double check. It was a few minutes but Adira glanced at her and shook her head slightly before turneding back to scan her tempoarily territory.

 Riza woke up with a start, thinking something was going to happen again. But she was surprised: no attacks, no running to catch wagons, no nothing.
What is this madness? she thought briefly. She checked her watch--she had woken up early! She stood up, but immediately regretted it, sitting back down. Her stomach was still being disagreeable, but they she didn't know if that was because of yesterday...or if it was just hunger pangs.
Feeling around for her bag, she decided to test it. If anything, she could just run out of the wagon before....y'know....
Ah, there it is... she pulled a small container out, holding the last of the riceballs she had stuffed in her bag the other day. She had been meaning to give it to....but, oh well. She doubted anyone would really care. Biting down into it, she smiled as her stomach calmed down. Hunger pains, that was good. And her headache was gone....
Standing carefully, she checked herself for anymore problems. She was really sore, and everything ached, but beyond that she considered herself fine. The wonders of sleep! Better go stretch....
She climbed out of her wagon and, making sure to stay close to the caravan's campsite in case anything did happen, walked slowly around in a large circle. Maybe I shouldn't have gone to bed so early, it's kind of creepy with everything quiet like this...

Piney had woke up early, much to the surprise of herself and her Pokemon that were sleeping next to her. Letting them have some extra rest, she made her way to the wagon where there was some food and got herself some breakfast.
Holding a peanut butter sandwhich, she noticed someone with rice balls nearby. She was someone on her wagon that she never really got acquainted with. Piney wandered over to her and nodded a hello.
"Do you mind if I sit next to you?"

Riza jumped, not expecting anyone else to be up. She turned around and saw another trainer from her wagon...swallowing, she replied, "Oh, not at all."
Might as well introduce herself, ne? "Hello, I'm Riza....you're in my wagon, right?"

Sighing in relief, Kayla curled up in her sleeping bag. "Well, would you please wake me up when you notice anything slightly strange or possible danger?" Kayla yawned and finally closed her straining eyes before continuing. "Thank you for keeping watch....Adira. Let's...hope...it will.....be allllright...." Promptly afterwards, Kayla fell asleep like that while Adira stayed up the whole night.
Adira was use to this a long time ago. She had to learn the hard way that being alone was never good and she often had to had sleepless nights when she was bullied by water pokemon and never got sleep after one attack. They would always try to come and attack her again when she least expected it or vulnerable. Now she could go for a few days without sleep. Sure she could nap but it was a alert nap, not true sleep.
Tonight though, all Adira could hear was crickets, snoring trainers and pokemon alike and the crackling dying flames of the fire behind her.

((I know I won't be here tomorrow... but I will try to pop in every so often today... I have some last minute work with my cousin today then I drive 9 hours home >.<;; .... Does the event end Friday or Saturday?))

"Yup I am. My name's Piney." She sat down next to Riza and took a bite in her sandwich. "Do you have any Pokemon yet? I have several." She indicated the tent she was sleeping in for the night, where Daybreak and Era were still snoozing in.

"Hi Piney!" Riza smiled at the other trainer, "Nice to meet you!"
She studied her for a moment, then went on, "Pokemon..? No, I was hoping to catch one on this trip though, actually..." she paused, registering the second half of what Piney had said.
"You have Pokemon! What Pokemon are they?" Riza asked excitedly. She was always curious about other trainers, more-so ones with Pokemon. It was enough to get her over her somber mood and back to her cheery one.
