Not odd. I love that boot too...I think it's more of her whole leg looks damn good. One of those things that I drew right the first time and then left completely alone.

I apologize for my sudden disappearance for like an hour. power went out. someone apparently tested to see if their car could stand up to a power pole.

Mmm CS3 love. I could see if I could make a screenshot tutorial or just type out in steps what I do and how I do it. Though first there is the all important question I must ask you: Do you want your lines present in your final piece or absent? Depending on that is what I'm going to tell you. I used to leave my lines in, but now I don't.

For now I don't really care much. I just can't figure out how to get the color in the line art. if I try painting using different layers it covers everything and such and I really, REALLY don't like tracing every little line( for example, on dragon scale) so that the original artwork's look stays intact.

Well I can tell you that one straight up. Are you trying to do it over scanned sketch art or did you hand ink it and scan b&w or just trying to keep that sketchy look of your original scan and then just want to add color?
I personally sketch, scan, print out a cyan copy, black hand ink over my sketch lines, rescan in b&w, then convert to the RGB color mode.
