I don't think he's hinting that he's a bisexual in that, I thing what he means is that he isn't afraid of the idea of being attracted to another man.
For example, I am attracted to other men, but I'm not opposed nor frightened about the prospect of liking a woman. Though I don't consider myself a bisexual in any way shape or form.
