Hurrying toward the scene of the battle, Dr. Morgan spotted Dr. Baxter struggling to his feet. Worried and somewhat miffed, he picked up his pace.

"Are ye all righ'? T'woul' look as though ye took a bit o' dam'ge 'ere, Doctor. 'Ere, Cap'n, I'll 'andle this if'n ye'd like, I be sure ye 'ave oth'r matters tae atten' tae."

Producing a collapsible crutch from somewhere in the folds of his coat, Dr. Morgan offered it to Baxter.

"Me own invention. 'andy in times like 'ese, an' as good as th' real thing. Lean on tha', 'twill 'elp yer balance."

Shaking his head once more to fully wake himself up, he looked at Dr. Morgan.

"A curious device to be sure, but I think I'm fine, surely there will be somebody who needs such a wellmade item more than I. Now then, we should set to work once more. I need to busy myself so that I might forget that which I have done today."

-Smiling a bit at the thought of Ms. Ares doing her best in the most dire of situations.-

Very well! Live to fight again!!!

-And with that it appeared to boost his adrenaline and fight off more Reds. There numbers very growing as more came to the aid of the fallen, but nothing in comparison to those he and his shipmates had slain.-

*her vision started to blur a bit, but she shook her head and kept fighting. She had to make it, for the Captain's sake.*
Come on lads, let's go!!
*she rushed forward again, this time side-by-side with her gun crew, as they shot and fought their way inside the fort. The cannons were still sounding as the redcoats kept rushing out, causeing the smoke to disrupt their vision of battle a bit*

"Heh heh it looks like you guys could use some help"
*By this time his bullet wound had healed and he now had full use of both his arms again. He unsealthed his swords, began laughing histarical, and started cutting down any redcoat that apposed him.*

((One Officer in, One Sniper Out.. fair trade))

"Well, my good... Doctors, I have orders for you:

- Doctor Baxter, you are to be accpomanied on your return to the Lady. Once there, you are to make the entirety of the Ship into your own floating Hospital. Main Deck, Foc'stle, Galley, Gundeck, Quarterdeck... even my Quarters in the Stern Gallery if needed. I want that Ship laiden with as many wounded as you can possibley muster.

As for the Ship's Dead, I'm requesting for the Main-Sheet to be lowered over the portside rail, and to have the dead placed upon it. The Sail will act as a kind of Mass Casualty Hammock. Once at sea, we'll give our boys a proper sea burial. They deserve it. Now, I'm not sending you back to the ship due to your injurys, but also as a sort of security. The Lady has been left quite vunerable. I want that ship secure, and your the one to do it.

- As for you, Doctor Morgan... I am in great dire need of your help. Your orders are to see Doctor Baxter aboard and to help him setup his floating medical facility. Once that is finished, you are to inform the guncrew to cease fire and stow their guns. The rest of this campaign will be fought ashore.

Now, once you've completed your tasks aboard ship, I need you to row back to shore and checkup on the Squads. I have a feeling that some of our crew is injured, but unwilling to admit to it. They'd fight forever if I asked it of them. If injured, send them home to the Ship. Doctor Baxter will see to their wounds. As for the enemy dead, leave them lie. The survivors will see to their burial.

Morgan, don't think that you'll be doing this alone. I shall be assigning to you a Detail. In short, a small crew of assistants to aid you in bringing the wounded back to the Lady Washington."

*Thinking things over..*

"That will be all. Now, quicks the word and sharps the action. Get to it."

*With a smirk, he grabs his sword and runs to return to his comrades.*

"Yes, Captain," Dr. Baxter said reluctantly. Despite the Captain's words, he still felt as dejected. He believed that it was his injuries indeed that were to blame for his being sent back to the ship, despite what the Captain said. "I'll relay your orders to the remaining crew on the Lady. I'll then ask for their assisstance withe the wounded and dead. Having some help onboard will certainly make things move faster."

He looked at Dr. Morgan, "Well, since you'll have a litter detail, might I suggest that you still treat minor wounds and only send the most serious ones to me. When you have your assisstants bring wounded to the ship, instruct them to put them on the quarterdeck near the hatch to below deck. I'll be using that as a triage area. The main deck will be used for those whose wounds has been treated. No use keeping them crammed below decks when they can be above where they can get fresh air. I'll need some help rigging that sail over the rail. To be honest...I know little about how a ship works. I would like at least two skiffs always moving to and fro betweent the ship and the beach to ferry wounded."

He then turned and began down the beach toward the skiffs. He pushed it adrift and set back to the Lady in order to prepare it to recieve wounded.

Destiny and her squad, having finished off the second cannon gunners, moved on to the third gun.. slowly but surely, they were clearing a path of carnage into the fort. " Men, Let us be as swift and sure as death.. and as quick... If you can, strike a killing blow.. They're our enemies, but let us be humane as we can to them.." She threw these words back over her shoulder to her men.. They seemend to take heart in them, and went about the buisines of slaying the redcoats with renewed vigor.
Destiny was lost in the dance of death- strike, guard, slash, cross, duck, remove a head... In the midst of the corpses, she felt another flow of blood, this time down her leg. She looked down, and saw a short blade imbedded in the muscle. With a grimace of pain, she sheathed her own dagger, and with a grunt, pulled the other one from her leg.
She limped around a corner to a relativly quiet area. Yanking off her overcoat, she sliced a long piece from the hem, and tied it around her legg, making an improvised bandage.
Gritting her teeth against the pain, she examined the short blade. It was of fine workmanship, probably belonging to an officer. Now I have a personal grudge against whomever owned this blade. I shall have my vengance. she thought grimly to herself.
With a determination from her heart, she rejoined the battle, allowing the adrenaline in her system to block her pain. On the side, she made a mental note to keep an eye out for an officer that was a blade short, for he would then meet his Destiny....

*Running into the last and final fourth gunteam, he and his squad stopped around the corner retaining wall. As only the Captain rounded the corner, he came to find he had a cannon placed before him. Before he could shout to the others, it was too late. With a crash of thunder, the cannon ball, having almost removed his head clean off his shoulders, lodged itself in the wall on the far Southside of the Square. Having been blown 25 feet backward and into an embankment, the Captain lie there in a heap. As all this happend, the world shook, the sky fell and all about him went perfectly quiet....

Coming to conciousness rather quickly, a mere 5 minutes later, he awoke to the sight of his Squadron having already taken out the Gunteam, standing about bandaging themselves. An eerie silence lurked about Kurisu. Picking himself off the ground, he checked himself for injurys:

Legs are there... so is my torso. Arms are still functioning properly. Wait... Oh God. WHY CAN'T I SEE OUT OF MY LEFT EYE!! OH GOD! MY EYE!! IT'S BEEN BLOWN OUT OF ME'HEAD!!! HOW WILL I GO ON?
How will I be able to ever use a pair of binoculars? Or possibley ever wink again? Squinting will be most difficult also...

*Groping about his face, he comes to a realization.*

Oh, yeah... the left one is already gone. heh.

*Getting to his feet, he straightens himself and sheaths his baskethilt. Walking over to the Squadron, he sees the men laughing and talking about the battle that was just won. Captain Kurisutofa shouted a grand 'hello' to them as he approached the group. As they turned around, they waved back and welcomed him back with wide smiles & unintelligable calls.

Sitting down, the reason for silence was suddenly realized. Mr. Bowett, normally a loud boysterous man, was gabbering on and on... yet nothing was coming out of his mouth. As he told what was obviously a funny joke, the rest of the men laughed. The whole squadron rolled on the ground with laughter, all but the Captain.

The sudden horror of his predicament overcame him*

The Doctor boarded the ship and looked around. He had never been put in charge of anything before, let alone a ship. He made it a point not to disappoint. In the best voice of authourity he could muster, the doctor shouted down to the gundeck where the remaining crew was.

"I bring orders from the Captain. You are to cease-fire and stow the guns. The Lady has been put in my charge and is to be converted into a floating hospital. I want everything cleaned up and put out of the way to make room for wounded. Also, the Main-sheet is to be lowered and rigged over the portside rail to function as a mass casualty hammock for the dead. Clean the maindeck up as best you can. After the men are treated they are to be brought up here to recuperate in the fresh air. The Quarterdeck is to remain clear at all times. As wounded arrive they will be placed on the quarterdeck so that I can get to them and treat them as quickly as possible. Move quickly men."

The Doctor then went below to ready the operation room once more.

*the guncrew aboard the Lady ceased fire, and the smoke cleared relatively quickly. The second gun captain ordered the guns away, and the men followed the orders and soon the guns were stowed. They began to head up to deck and continued on the other orders.*
((Meanwhile))
*Ares kept fighting through her pain. The wound was too useless to cover now, since the blood had flowed down her skirts and leg, staining the ground as she stepped. She let go of her stomach, and pulled out a rapier with her left hand. The gleaming metal caught the reflection of the sun as she swung it down in the head of some poor soldier. She knew they were winning the battle, but she would not stop. Suddenly a shot flew by her from a pistol, and she felt the heat of the bullets air graze her arm.*
Close, but you didn't get me!
*A second bullet came flying, and pierced her right shoulder, but did not exit her body. By the shot, she was thrown to the ground. Her siren voice came forth as a shriek escaped her lips. The shriek, she knew, would make anyone around her ache at the core of the brain. She shut her mouth quickly and got up, ready to fight another battle.*

*Walking about the grounds, he came across Miss Ares as she tried to fight on for the great cause of victory. Her stomach was drenched in blood. As he watched, she was struck with a pistol shot and she let out a shreik. His eyes widened as he saw the blood begin to run from her grazed shoulder. Making an executive decision, he came up behind her and grabbed her up in his arms, her swords still in hand. Trying to find a clear way to get to the harbourfront, he swints as the sun glares in his eye. Deciding on taking the alley street that lead Southeast behind the Citadel, he began to run swiftly. As they disappeared into the alleyway, he began to whisper into her ear, but seeing as how he had gone deaf, his voice was ranging at a rather normal level and it was a tad low, as to cover up the distortion of deaftness.*

"Courage & Determination can be harmful things at times, can't they?"

Doctor Baxter emerged from below and saw everybody hard at work cleaning the deck. The main-sheet had already been rigged up as instructed. The doctor did what he could to help out. He pulled coils of rope to the side of the deck.

He then to the starboard rail which was facing the city to observe the battle. He knew there were wounded in the city, and it angered him that he could not be there to help them. He had unknowingly taken out his frustrations on that woman below. That reminded him, he best be going back down to check on her, and to assign her a new task. Surely she was almost finished with her current one. He also felt as if he owed her an apology.

Returning from the Lady Washington, Dr. Morgan found the town's doctor Dr. Wilson hard at work. Most if not all of the wounded left in his charge had been dealt with, and he had gathered more since the skiff had left. The two doctors stopped to discuss the situation for a bit, then Dr. Wilson returned to work and Dr. Morgan went back to the scene of combat.

He turned a corner, where he saw the Captain running down the street carrying a wounded officer, and called out to relieve him.

"Cap'n! I'll take 'er daen fer ye, unless ye be inj'red yerself. Dr. Wilson be daein'; a fine-"

The Captain, having apparently not heard him or noticed as he came around the corner, barreled right into Dr. Morgan, sending him sprawling backwards into the street.
