She raised an eyebrow and ran her fingers through her hair. "What makes you think Malik hasn't tried to collar me and failed horribly at it?" She wasn't a trustworthy person and she shrugged, "Home wasn't a great place to be anymore so I left. I ran into Piper and she said I could stay here. So here I am. I probably will move on once I find somewhere else to go, so this is most likely a temporary arrangement." She sighed, "Aren't you astute. It's true Malik and I have had...moments but we're sort of at a stalemate now while Piper's parents are here. Besides it's not so much the fact he's in charge, it's the way he acts about it. Personally, I think it just goes to show why Drow put their females in charge."

"Last I recall, Malik had you nearly collared not too long ago. only Piper wanting to stall this little get together stopped him."
And how did he know that? little wisp told him. despite being cooped up in his room, that's what he was practicing. using those wisps and getting information out of them.
"Malik's rule, from what we were told as kits, has lessened in harshness since he took to Piper. In fact, I woudl wager you'd be dead if this place was just him, without her. those imps woudl be collared or been tossed into some pit or portal someplace, and he'd have killed probably most the tournament competition with a wooden sword in that first big melee."
A shrug.
"If our father's stories about how he used to be hold true."

Well so much for that. "Yes, well if he does manage to collar me he's in for one hell of a time. I dont' go down easily and I don't like men thinking they are above me. Maybe it's the way I grew up or maybe it's just my nature but that really gets to me." She was quiet for a moment and then she shrugged like it didn't even matter, "That really does not surprise me. He seems to be the type to kill first, ask later, but then he is Drow and that is what we do. Besides if it weren't for Piper I wouldn't even be here so that does not really matter now does it?" She smiled softly as she thought of the imps and they're innocent little faces. They awakened something in her, something that had been there, dormant all along. Then she narrowed her eyes, "How would you know that, I've never seen you around here. Are you one of those who likes to go invisible and spy?" Her hand was slowly inching toward her dagger, ready to pull it.

Raziel blushed. "Awe...I didn't eman to get you in trouble Kieran. I was just...curious about the drow." He was sitting on Kieran's shoulder, twieling a piece of the elf's hair in his hands. A bit of a nervous habit of his now.
The two hissed at Malik at the collar comment, and took to hanging aorund K-man, crawling across him in an attempt to catch the other, using him much as their own personal jungle gym. They were careful not to hurt him though. They had discovered, through a long and intelectual process called "thought" that regual peopl didn't seem to like pain. it was a hard concept to wrap their heads around. Oh well.
Moonstone watched the drow female and his brother talk, but did not offer much in his own way of speech. The topic was not one he wished to talk about and it seemed like Zahara was just digging for information. He folded his arms, his appetite gone. Everything had a bit of a...hostile air to it. He sighed softly, and started his new hobby, which was trying to find out exactly waht a hobby was and how one went aobut aquiring one.

"Our father is a Vah, our mother wasn't. She is a conduit, a living portal you coudl say to..darker forces. I inherited soem of her power, as my twin inherited some of our father's spiritual energy. with it, I can create little..will'o'wisps that can do my spying and learning for me. my power is rather weak, something I in particularly hate, seeing as our parents are both so powerful."
A slight grin.
"I'm been practicing with them, learngin how to use them to teh best measure. that's how I know. and I know somethign else your really nto going to like. you'll break, if he gets a collar on you. even our father broke after the Breaker room."

"So you have been spying on me." She shook her head, "I should kill you where you stand. Just rip out my dagger and gut you with it spilling your entrails all over this floor and then cook you up and tell Malik you disappeared." Her hand moved away from her dagger and she sent him a sassy grin, "Of course I'm not that kind of Drow so I'm not goign to but that doesn't change the fact I should. I don't take kindly to people spying on me, especially in my less than impressive moments." She glanced at the white Vah and assumed he either didn't like her or was just shy. Shrugging she said, "Your father may have broken but your father didn't have what I have. Piper doesn't want me or the imps collared and she's made that clear. If Malik collars any of us he's going to have to deal with Piper. But we'll have to wait and see I suppose, now won't we?"

Kieran chuckled, looking to Raziel slightly. He didn't seem to mind being crawled all over now did he? Though he would raise a hand to shield Raziel every now and then when he felt an imp was too close. Hey as long as they didn't get caught up on him or his gear, or anything he was fine with it, he'd let them play. "Well you have your right to be Raziel...and I had my own fun too."
Fianna raised an eyebrow skpetically at Malik. Worse than drow huh? She found that very very hard to believe. Though she bit her tongue at a comment that rose in her throat about it...no, be nice...or at least try...really hard...so a look to Kieran. "Your definition of fun as always been skewed Donairth." But it was an endearing skewed...despite her dislike of Kieran's endevours sometimes, it was his nonconformity that was one of his most attractive qualities. But her look returned to Malik. "Quite the populace there...it's been only elves and wildlife in Andal as far back as anyone remembers really. Just always been that way." Occassional non elvish visitor, sure.
Well this was...she didn't know how to classify what was going on. Maybe civil was the word...well civil apart from the imps that were using her father as a play thing. And he was just indulging them, wasn't he? But she was listening to them talk, scanning information and tones and the like. Then she tugged at her collar lightly and ran a hand through her hair. This wasn't so bad...

Malik gave a slight grin.
"The Iksar, to the last memeber of the race, follow Cazic Thule, the Faceless. he is the Father of Fear. they rule through fear others, they onl fear those above them, and they fear Cazic. they are completely organized in a militaristic society from top to bottom, and ulitarian. they don't come to places for money or jewels. they come for land, and to enslave. period. they ask for no quarter and give none, and are very hard to kill, as they are already scaled hides they cover with rather finely made armor. they rule the continent they are are, Kunark, with exception to two outposts and Veeshan's Peak, home of dragons. the outposts are elvish. one Koada'dal, and one Tier'dal, respectively."
Kieran woudl love that information, woudln't he.
"The only thing that stops thier spread from Kunark save the occasional adventuring party is the fact the dragonkin won't allow them to develop a navy. but even now there are rumors or them trying to build outposts, and making plans to hit the other continents, and hit hard. they are some of the most deadly monks in Norrath, to boot."

Piper cleared her throat lightly and looked to Malik, though her expression was kind of blank really, not giving too much indication of anything. Well because if she did she would be giving away her anxieties to her mother, now wouldn't she? Problem? He was kind of rambling down a dodgy road a bit...didn't need mom thinking him a warmonger or anything. Yes, she was the most uncomfortable elf in the room.
Sponge. No doubt Raziel was as well...those two made quite the little learning pair, didn't they? Of course he was behaving himself and merely logging it all away for later, quiet and listening much as his daughter was...though he knew she wasn't doing to well herself...and knew that Fianna could feel it too. She was also trying to shut both of them out as well. "Dragonkin...you can always expet them to try and take the route that prevents harm...mostly anyway."
There was one thing thus far that was notable about Malik...he had his information and knew how to express it. And he would when given the chance. She knew someone else in the room who also had a leaning to blue who did the same. Which caused a look to Kieran who looked rather relaxed for one being crawled all over. But her green eyes came back to the drow...or more correctly Tier'dal. Yes, he got credit for his knowledge. Which got him a smile of sorts...hey she knew when to show some common decency. "I dare say impressive Malik...your knowledge on others." Though she could chock that up to drow paranoia, but she wasn't going to say that. "Always good to know what's going on around yourself."

"the network of spies and imformants from Neriak is well spread. and in my line of work, best to know the habits of all potential clients and thier uses for what I provide for them. though I never dealt directly with the iksar. always through others."
a slight smile.
"Or you coudl say the Tier'dal race is a paranoid and tense one, and it's just a trait of our race to want to now what all our potential enemies coudl be doing."

Aella swung her staff with both hands, and to Eliot, it would look like she was trying to whack the girl. Aella's aim was shaky at best, so it was a complete miracle when sghe smacked the spider and sent it sailing away into the dark, instead of making Eliot a three pawed wolf. She wouldn't tell her that part though.
She bent and whispered. "You gotta be careful aobut the spiders, they're poisoness. The small ones won't kill you, but it'll hurt." She stood again, going deeper into the caves. Thank goodness she was not wearing those silks.
She inched in deeper, taking routes that smelled worse...because that's where the spiders would be hiding. She felt like every corner she tured would have a large heary leg pocking out form the other side...

Eliot was so still she could have been part of the rock. Her eyes were wide wide open, she had thought that Aella had been attackign her, and had even assumed she had missed when she didn't feel anything. It wasn't until she heard the thump of something off in the distance that she had realized there had been something on her. Her nose tiwtched and she realxed a little.
Damn buggers, she thought, can't even feel that they're close and the whole place smells like one big blob and no wind to be down from. hse wined a little in agitation.
She followed Aella at a reasonable distance.
When were they going to find a freakin spider?

Aella patted Eliot on the head a bit. "Patience, little grasshopper. We don't want to come across one of the big big big ones, just a...big one."
She took a few catiuos stepps, motioneing to eliot to listen carefully. They were listening for the distinct clacking of spider legs on stone.
Somewhere in the distance, they could here such a sound. But Eliot would have to find it. The labyrinth od tunnles down here could get one lost easily.

Fianna stared at him a moment...and had to bite her tongue again. Was he purposefully prodding her on the whole drow race issue? That made her a bit wary about it. And for a moment she considered her words, hands folded in her laps. She went with something more neutal in response. "Well...as I've heard...keep your friends close and you enemies closer."
Kieran cleared his throat and then snatched the two imps by thier tails, standing. A look between mother and daughter before he stepped over to Malik, dragging imps with him...not worried about them they probably thought it was fun not to walk. "Malik, could I have a private word with you for a moment?" And he didn't wait for an answer, simply walking into the next room over.
Piper looked at her father's back, then at Malik, then her mother. Uh oh...dad was up to something. Why was he always up to something?

Eliot's ear twitched, oh yes she heard the insistant clacking in the distance that made her ears ring and her heart beat. If Aella could have seen her face she would have seen a very wolf like smile, her tongue poked out of her mouth as she inahled deeply, looking for any type of scent. Her eyes began to glow with the intensity of her concentration.
She moved herself infront of Aella, swishing her tail constantly against her thighs, directing her wich way to turn so as to make as little sound as pubble. Soon she was able to smell the creature. A slight wafting of the most disgusting fragrance creeping down the tunnel.
Soon she stopped at a corner, barely discernable from the darkness around them. She listened carefully and soon nodded in satisfaction. Turneing to Aella she twitched her head and rolle her eyes. The spider... its around that corner.
