*She looked up. The cannons were still firing. The rapier was still in her hand- she still hadn't thanked him. He'd armed her, recruited her, and saved her life, and she still hadn't thanked him. Well, now wasn't the best time to do so, so she'd better attempt to be useful to make up for it. Were there any blind spots in the cannon range? Any size would do. And shouldn't there be time while they were reloading? She contemplated the possibilities and waited for the best time to act.*

*Lying on his back, he releases Miss Omi and draws his sword. The Redcoats were in need of withdrawing and reloading their artillery. Getting to his knees, he signalled to Miss Destiny via obvious handsignals.*

1ST SQUADRON (Capt'n), ATTACK FULL ON LEFT FLANK...

2ND SQUADRON (Destiny), ATTACK RIGHT FLANK. FULL ATTACK...

*Winking at the girl at his side, he nudges her.*

"Now's as good a time as any, aint it? Come on, ready for attack."

*Raising his sword high over his head, he looks to the Squadrons. With a proud stance, he swings the sword in a downward motion. This was the signal to advance.*

"FORWARD!!! MY MEN TO THE PORT ENEMY GUNTEAM!! GO!"

*Running out from the sandbags, he charges at the 5 man gunteam. A look of rage overcomes his face as he approaches the first man and with a upwards smash to the face, deals the first Redcoat a blow to the face with the pommel of his sword. Cocking his sword over his head, he brings the blade down and strikes true, leaving a mortally deep wound across the mans broadchest. The redcoat screams in agony and falls to the ground, writhing on pain.

Finishing with one, he moves onto the other. Running right at him, he thrusts his sword straight through the Soldiers gut. Placing a firm grip on the mans shoulder, he holds him in place as if hugging him and then pushes the blade deeper. Twisting the blade, he makes sure to severe the spine. Whispering something in his ear, his eyes grow wide and he quickly pulls the long, crimson blade from the mans inerds. The man wretches and falls to the ground, convulsing as he meets his brutal end.

Looking back, he checks his men to see their progress.*

"Miss Destiny & her company must be making handy work of the second righthand gun by now..."

*Hearing something behind him, he turns on his heel and runs his blade through a Redcoats ribs on the lefthand side. Pulling a pistol from his belt, he shoves it into the enemy's gut and aims in & upwards. Pulling the trigger, the hammer is lain down and the smoke signals the mans fate. As the body hits the ground, he kneels down behind the gun and speed-loads his flintlock.*

*Ares hears the commoation being made by the Captain, and hurries her assault to go and help. She flies through officers, one by one they fall behind her. She was going quickly, and she could feel herself getting slopy with her attacks. Of course, this could prove to be a fatal mistake.*
Slowly, slowly. Pay attention. Man at right, left center....
*Her thoughts of battle consumed her mind as she and her crew leapt forward into the Eastern Battery. Her sword went flying through the officers, while her pistol took care of those a little farther away. Soon the eastern Battery was won.*
Aye, lads! Good show! Now, onward!
*they came to the aid of the Captain, trying to surround a little more of the Fort*
((If I am correct in my reading, that is where you are, no?))

Doctor Baxter was not out long. He practically willed himself backed to conciousness. He awoke to a blinding pain in the back of his head. As he reached around, he took note of a large knot towards the base of the skull where it meets the neck. Behind him just outside of the building, he found the culprit for his injury. A large piece of brick and mortar had brained him as the ball from the 6-pounder had ripped throught the building.

He reloaded the one pistol he had fired and returned it to his belt. In the confusion of his escape from the building he had lost the white sash distinguishing him as a doctor. He had not realized he lost it, and so he did not look for it. He rose to his feet and set out once more to find the raiding parties so that he might treat wounded.

As he walked he staggered as if inebriated. His vision was blurry and his world was moving about him, so he proceeded slowly. He had to lean on buildings for support. The sounds of the world were muffled and garbled, and everything seemed to proceed in slow motion for him.

He once again found the Captain and his men. He also bear witness to the mess left in their wake. He kneeled down near one of the raiders as if to start treating his wounds. Suddenly, a sense of vertigo overcame the doctor. Everything began to spin, the spinning quickened in speed, moving more rapidly until the doctor passed out once more.

*Glad to be of use, she ran after him, hitting anybody wearing red that she could reach. She wasn't that well (try not at all) trained, so she doubted she was doing much damage. Probably mostly superficial cuts, maybe a lost finger or two, but the only real injuries seemed to come from kicking people in the shins. Still, anything she could do felt like it was helping, and she really wanted to help. It was rather scary really, all these people crashing around her, gunshots everywhere, and short little her just trying to keep on her feet, but she did the best she could.*

((How lost can you possibley be Sparrow? Your lodged on the Top'gallants, firing musket balls at Officers you see threw your scope. Not much involvement there. You've got the easiest job out of all of us. If you'd like to join us, row ashore and join in the hand to hand combat.

Either read back in the recent pages, or just generalize your post. No one's going to bring you up to date. We are currently at War. There
s not much else I can really say other than that. Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but that's because it is. Please try to keep up. Thanks You.))

"COME ON BOYS!!! PRESS FORWARD!!! TO GLORY WE STEER!"

-After claiming the lives of a few Red Coats, the others seemed to cower at the flawless formation that had been made. Quasan smiled a bit as he thought what a tactical genius he was. Since everything seemed under control, he chose 4 men, heavily armed, to guard the remaining injured. With that, he instructed the rest to follow him up the hill to join up with the others. Already he could hear the cannons roaring and the smell of gunpowder fill the air.-

Men, hurry! Our assisstance is needed and any little aid we can give may win us this decisive battle! Move!

At the Captain's command, she and her men scythed through the other artillerymen on the right flank, cutting them down like so much overgrown hay as they were franticlly trying to reload their cannon and small arms.
Bringing her daggers into play again, she slit two throats, then flipped the dagger around and threw it into the back of a redcoat that had turned his back to reach for more wadding. She felt a brief flicker of pity for him, but the feeling became lost in bloodlust. As the men behind her began picking off the survivors of her deadly attack, she leapt atop the cannon, and with a quick crossing and flick of the wrists, relieved the fireman of his head.
Seeing the Captain still in combat, she began to attack the next cannon on the right flank, repeating her deadly dance with death at every stroke, dooming the dastardly dogs to the black oblivion of death.

*she rushed the Fort, into the depths of the enemy. Her petite figure went unnoticed as she quickly ran through their ranks, taking down one after another of the redcoats. She came up to the end of a line, still making sloppy marks.*
Slow down, stay clean
*she thought to herself as she saw the next line of redcoats rushing towards her. She went through them easily, until the end. Her sloppiness had caught up with her, as she came to the end, facing the next wave, and then feeling pressure in her back. She looked down to see the tip of a longsword poking through the left side of her stomach. She quickly regained her thoughts as she pointed her pistol behind her and shot. Her ear started to ring from the sound of the gun, as the sword slide out of her body, dropping with the officer she missed.*
Come on...keep going...
*her crew hadn't noticed the incident, and kept fighting. Placing a hand over her wound, she kept fighting.*

(( stare Who's the tactical genius? Who issued you your orders, Mr. Quasan? 3nodding ))

*As he removed his blade from the gizzards of the Head Officer in charge of the Artillery, he looked around to his Officers. Men lie wounded, strewed about the square; Blood ran red as it flowed down walls. Looking back to the other side of the Gate, he see's a sight that scared him more than Hell itself. There, amongst the debris, lay the honorable Doctor Baxter.

Rushing to away from the ending assault, he slid to his knees and rolled the unconcious body of Reginald onto his lap. The cause of his wound was obvious. Struck while in the line of fire. Not with shot, but brick & mortar. Removing a piece of reviving salt from his pocket, he waves it in front of the Doctor, in hopes of bringing him back to conciousness.*

What did I tell you about War? It's dangerous. See if I ever try to teach you anything ever again. At least you didn't get yourself shot.

*Shaking his head to and fro, he anxiously awaits the result of the salts.*

Coming to with a gasp, Dr. Baxter's eyes opened wide. He awoke to see the Captain looking down at him disappointed. Still not all there he looked up at him and said:

"Somebody tried to kill me." He said looking around deliriously, "I shot an artillery officer, and the remainder of the crew fired a round into the building where I was... I saw you were pinned down and I tried to help."

Dr. Baxter leaned forward rubbing the bridge of his nose. He had regained his composure and the reality of his actions came crashing around him, and it was too late for him to turn back. The pain was still in the back of his head...but the vertigo was gone. The world was stable once more. He turned around and noticed the Captain was looking at the extra pistols and swords he was carrying.

"Somebody tried to kill me before the artillery crew. I defended myself and relieved him of his weaponry. I do hope I haven't done anything wrong." Thinking for a moment, he then began again, "I'm fine now...my head hurts, but I can still treat others."

He began to stand up and slipped falling back to the ground. He then tried again with better success. He looked at the Captain, awaiting his reply.

*Coming out through an unmarked path through the trees, a woman of her twenties emerges, short in stature dressed in red and black leather, twigs and leaves in her, now unkempt, auburn hair. She glances behind her to see if anyone is following her way out of where she just came. She made a point to travel the whole night to keep ahead of her pursuers: an unjust group, thinking she stole something she didn't... just because she is a theif doesn't mean she would have pulled the heist of which she's been accused of.*

"Really, had I wanted the elder's gold I could have taken it as he was standing right there... They should be talking with his youngest daughter... She's the one who stole it and disappeared with that good for nothing, drunken lush of an officer. Another innocent corrupted by a man of station" she thinks to herself as she rolls her eyes and sighs

*She moves closer to the city keeping low to the ground so as to stay out of eyesight. She comes up slowly to a house on the outskirts, looking about for those who are after her. She grins at the sounds of gunfire and commands shouted at officers. The pungent smell of gunpowder permeates the thick grey air.*

"Well, isn't this just a blessing in disguise..." she purrs aloud and grins again while looking around the battle. She surveys who is winning the battle currently and notices the lack of security near the ship.

"I won't have to worry about losing that doltish lot in this battle... They'll figure I went and got myself killed. They really are the dumbest villagers." she thinks about her past issues with that village and nods to herself at their stupidity.

*Making the choice to head towards the docks, she moves silently along the outskirts of the main battle to stay clear of stray shots and swinging blades. Coming around one corner of a delapated building recently crippled by a cannonball, she stops short. A only a few yards away she notices two men from what she assumed was the ships in port. She watches as the one man revives the other with the salts and listens carefully to their conversation.*

"Hmmm a doctor... pulling a gun? He has more guts than most I've come across." she ponders a moment, "If they have doctors, that means there's a goodly amount of supplies aboard that ship of theirs. This could turn out to be a lucrative day for me after all... some basic necessities..." a lustful smile curls the edge of her lips, "Mmm alcohol... it'd be nice to have some for free for a while before I figure out what my next course of action should be..."

*She listens further and realizes the doctor seems to wish to return to the treating of the wounded which would mean him returning to the ship soon. Without further hesitation, she slips behind them undetected to move as quickly as she can to the skiffs at the docks. She must be quick to slip onto the ship, grab some of the goods she needs and still leave undetected.

On the shore, she finds a skiff apart from the rest of the others. She manuevers it into the waters of the bay and begins the task of rowing to the pirate ship. As she looks around from this angle, the battle still wages, wounded lay at the docks few in contorted postions, possibly dead. She breathes deeply and looks back to the ship she has her sights set on and rows out to it along the back side where she'd be less likely to be seen. Figuring it be too obvious to come aboard where most of the crew would board, she finds a stray rope dangling from the side. She tugs firmly on it to be sure it won't slip as she climbs.*

"Carelessness... Someone should have made sure these weren't accessible.... good for me, however." she smirks and pulls a pair of black gloves from her hip and puts them on.

*She swiftly climbs the side of the ship watching over the edge for signs of movement her direction. Their attentions directed toward the battle on the other other side of the ship, she slips over the rail and silently, swiftly goes below deck to find the medical deck. She ducks shadows and veers away from voices nearby. Rounding a final twist and turn below the deck, she comes to a door with a painted sign saying "Medical Deck". She pulls her pouch open on her waist and pulls a few small lockpicking tools. Before even trying them, she takes a chance and tries the door. It opens freely. Grinning at her luck, she tucks away her tools and and slips effortlessly inside *

(( xp You did sir. I just ment the formation in which to fight without any casualties on our side mrgreen ))

-Arriving at the spot of battle, he led the march to fight alongside his comrades. There he spotted Ms. Ares and her squad and joined in. He noticed that Ms. Ares' fighting was a bit off, as though she lost her footing. He then realized that it appeared she had gotten shanked and was holding her wound, limiting her to fight at her best.-

Ms. Ares, are you well to do battle?

-He needed to arrive to her current location fast as more Reds came from everywhich way to attack her. Feeling the need to protect his comrade, and a lady at that, he hacked his way through the crowd to reach her, brushing off most of the Red Coats and ignoring the bloodshed of those he attacked. Finally he reached her and assisted by fighting at her side.-

I'm fine! Now take up that sword again and fight! No time for carelessness!
*she continues on, serging forward through the redcoats, making sure not to miss a single one.*
