Should I go ahead and post or still way for a Tim post?
Okay, so I was thinking about how much it sucks that the Batfamilly and Clan of Steel are almost always the stars of whatever things they're in. Take the end of series two parter in the Young Justice series, six recognizable and powerful superheroes enter the fray and the only ones they really seem to care about or have to struggle to contend with is Batman and Superman. I know it's a petty gripe, especially as I fall under the heading of the former but that was why I wanted to do this;
Okay, so what set me off was I watching movie reviews by one of my favs MovieBob Chipman, and I was thinking how much fun it would be to just throw our heroes into these movies and watch how they mess it up. Before someone else says it, I know the Teen Titan's did something similar in their series, and I'm good with that, I even thought we could repurpose the bad guy for this.
Basically, the story comes down to two parts, getting Robin, Red Robin, Supergirl, and Match lost in the TV waves. Meanwhile TL, AQ and the rest have to contend with the tracking down and stopping the main bad guy without their premier detectives, or super-swiss army knives. Jeopardy increases the longer the teens are lost in the air waves because as we all know movies are kind enough to the heroes in the afternoon, but as we get on to the evening things start getting to the stage where the movie kills off it's hero's best friend, or where the death of the more experienced hero is the point of the film. The later you get the slimmer your chances for a happy ending.
I had the immediate idea of the birds being embroiled in a kung fu movie and the steel clan being sucked into a monster movie, and being mistaken for the monster. And then the guys outside doing something to try and rescue the guys which ends up swapping them round; Kara and Match end up depowered and dropped right in the middle of a Triad street brawl, while Damian and Tim find themselves being called a threat to the american way of life and attacked by the military.
The idea is really to give us something to mess around and have fun with while everything is being decided and it's one of those whacky misadventure's superhero reunions tend to attract xd
