At this point, Alex became fed up. She was already at a low point with her math confession, and Slade was continuing to kick and beat her while she was down.
So now, she just chose to storm off without a word. She had enough, and she didn't want to stick around to be insulted any further.

Slade began walking forward before Trig cleared his throat.
"You stay here...I'll deal with her...." Trig sighed, following after her.
Slade just gave a grunt, stopping.

Alex continued to separate herself from the group, finally coming to a stop near another part of the now radiated ocean. With a heavy sigh, she sat down on the beach, and stared off.
