Off (current) topic: I just started Strattera in hopes of reducing my ADD symptoms. I'm drowsy, heavy-headed, the room's spinnin' rrreeeeaaaalllyyyy slow, and I feel weird. On 10mg. The samples my psychiatrist gave me go all the way up to 80mg. Man I'm a lightweight.

EDIT: I feel better now. Room's not spinnin' and I'm no longer heavy-headed. Just tired.

They gave me Hydrocodone and some similar pain prescriptions for when my gallbladder-like attacks flare... I feel that way when I go into sudden pain, and then when the medicine kicks in, I feel that way again...

Maybe meds are supposed to do that to let you know they are working.... xp

There are only four pills I trust: ibuprofen (Advil), citalopram (Celexa), loperamide(Imodium), pseudoephedrine/loratadine (Claritin-D). I'm trying atomoxetine (Strattera) out because it's a non-stimulant, but if it makes me as drowsy as I was earlier, I think I'll have to use one of the stimulant medications.

Ever thought of trying a migraine stick? It doesn't really work for me, but my husband thinks they're the best things since sliced bread.

Looking at them makes me even more ready to get my abs back! I can't wait until I look good enough to get mine redone. dramallama

and no, I've tried using a migraine stick once before... >.> it's useless bullshit. probably only effects your hsuband because he believes it does. xd they've proven scientifically that the placebo effect and nocebo effect are a litteral manifestation of the power the mind has over the body.

@ Figuren: what is the thanksgiving difference, i wonder? care to share?

Well, we don't exchange gifts or anything in our family (unless we are getting together with family that we won't see at Christmas...)

Thanksgiving is usually allot more gathering oriented for us than Christmas though, and we really turn it into a major deal... We usually invite as many people that we can that don't have families in the area, or families that don't have the means to have a feast... xd ... then mom and I and sometimes other women with know how or want-to get together and spend the night before Thanksgiving and then all of Thanksgiving morning in the kitchen making homemade breads, usually some venison from deer season, turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, slaw, deviled eggs, lots of other veggies, gravies, etc...

Sometimes, the guys that like to hunt go out and squirrel hunt in the morning, and when they get any, the squirrels get added into the meal too... At least it gives the guys something to do, and as long as they clean them, it's all fine to me. xp

Then you can't forget the desserts... there are always the apple, pecan, and pumpkin pies, but everything else tends to vary by what guests bring... It is GLORIOUS!

Then, when the night ends and everyone goes their way, they get to take enough food home to have a more private feast for the next day or two... because honestly, who is going to have the energy or the want-to to cook again after they spent a day and a half cooking and eating the day before? xd

That's all it is for me and my family here in the states. Only some families have turned it into a christmas-like holiday. If we even celebrate thanksgiving, it's usually either just my household or us and a few relatives over for an obscenely large dinner.
