Aurora greeted Evermore with a friendly nod, and followed her gaze when it turned to pleasant surprise. Ah, Michael was the source of this. Aurora didn't often visit the night cafe, but since Michael was one of the few males in the school, of course she knew at least who he was. She believed he may have sat in on some of her previous classes, but she rarely paid enough attention to anything besides the lessons to know for certain.

Michael bowed his head to the teacher, giving her a polite smile.
"Greetings, Professor Markums. It is always a pleasure to sit in on your class." the floramancer said, quickly taking a seat closer to Ever. He had seen her now and again at the coffee shop, and couldn't help but grin and give her a small wave.
"How goes your day, ladies?" He said to each of them. Not in a flirtatious or arrogant manner, but one of sincerity and general politeness. Despite being surrounded by the women at the school, Michael wasn't a skirtchaser like his father was. Although we would admit that he had developed quite a crush on a few of the girls. But he was a gentleman, and he would never do anything to make a lady feel uncomfortable.

Ares, who had fallen behind, quickly sat next to Ever. "Sorry, ran into a Professor and had to help clean up their papers." He apologized.

Aurora politely nodded back to Michael. "It has been nice," she said. "What of you?"

Raigin walked calmly out of the library and decided to walk around the grounds checking to make sure everything was allright. To anyone else it would seem he was merely checking the gardens, in truth he was using his powerful eyes to check for any source of weakness in the barrier around the school. It would be easier if the enemy couldnt get in.
After he was satisfied with its power he made his way toward the head mistress' office. Knocking politely he opened the door, "Excuse me headmistress, do you have a moment I would like to speak to you about something." he said with a gentle smile.

"It's been pretty good, actually. The coffee shop is as productive as ever, and I just woke from a lovely nap over at the courtyard. Although..."
Michael paused, putting a hand up to his nose and mouth, preparing to sneeze.
"Something in the air is giving me an allergic reaction. I keep sneez-AH. AH. AAAAAACHOOOOOOOOO!"
The brown haired boy let out a huge sneeze, a huge blast of flower petals covering himself and everyone.
"...Bleh. Sneezing. It's playing tricks on my floramancy."

Arielle looked up at the door from her desk, where she'd been writing a letter to send to Ophiuchus, asking if there was any news on Setsuka yet. "Come in, Raigin," she said, waving her hand to open the door more fully with a small spell. She gave a small, tight smile and gestured to the chairs. "What is it?"
((Before you randomly 'find' any weaknesses in the barrier, there are none. It is an ancient spell that basically cannot go wrong once invoked correctly, and since it has been invoked correctly, all is well. And, if anyone's worried about some all-powerful Headmistress: she does not feed the barrier with her own power. She only set it up with that, and even then she used an aid. The barrier is kept up by using the magical properties of the area it surrounds--for this case, it does include the Relic, so it is entirely possible that the barrier is that much stronger due to the Relic.))

Aurora blinked in surprise before giggling. "At least you do not spray everyone," she said. "I find flower petals to be much nicer to the alternative." Altan nodded from upon her lap, where she was absentmindedly petting his soft golden fur.

((More of filler then anything else... besides he doesnt know that))
Raigin nodded taking a seat before the head mistriss. "Thank you for your time M'lady." he said politely. "I have been asked by one of the students to teach her to comunicate to plants as the elves do. Seeing no harm in this I accepted and wanted to Let you know before hand in case you had any qualms with it... or walked by and thought that something... fishy was going on." he said calmly.

"Yes, but have you ever woken up covered in petals before? I swear, being a human floramancer is a pain in the butt. I always freak out whenever I sneeze because it's the only time I've ever made flowers appear without my willing it to be. It just...happens."
Michael clapped his hands together, then opened his hands to reveal a lotus sitting in his palms. He knew his dragon heritage was giving him the majority of his magical power to make flowers like this, but he was ashamed of being a dragon. They're just big, scaly, magical lizards who can fly. To Michael, they didn't seem that special.

{{Shoulda mentioned this to newer people before. The cafe on the second floor is mostly a snack and drink cafe. It doesn't serve coffee. The only place that does serve coffee is the 'new' coffee cart thing in the cafeteria on the first floor that Musica (now Nikolaus) introduced to the school. smile Sorry for not saying this before! I sometimes forget about stating things that others might not know.}}
Ever smiled at Ares as he sat down next to her. "It's okay. I'm just glad you still decided to come. When I got here and you weren't here, I was worried you had changed your mind."
She looked at Michael and when he smiled and waved at her, she smiled and waved back. She didn't know him that well, but he seemed nice enough. And when he sneezed and flower petals flew everywhere, she couldn't help but laugh and smile brightly at the pretty petals. That was a nice surprise.
Professor Markums smiled at the display herself. "Well, what a wonderful way to begin class today. Thank you, Michael."
Professor Markums proceeded to take roll while Raven quickly responded to what Altan had said.
"Isn't it nice of her?! We spent Saturday filling it with different pieces of furniture, painting and decorating it. I love it! You can come and see it anytime you like, Altan."
While Raven was talking, Ever had glanced over at the pen that held the creatures. There, she saw that Professor Markums still had the Immortal Horses inside. She was surprised they chose to stay there for so long.
Then, her eyes glimpsed Phobos. Instead of glaring or being scared, she felt a pang in her heart and she looked down at her lap. Phobos was Ares' horse. Well, he was. Ares had gotten another Immortal Horse, one she had not met, yet. Usually Phobos would scare her or piss her off, just like his former master. But today, he just reminded Ever of who she had lost this weekend. It hurt her greatly, like a pain she had never experienced before. Not even falling off of that pillar of water stories above the lake had hurt like this.

Michael turned cherry red and hung his head in embarassment, gently pushing his index fingers together.
"Sorry, Professor. I couldn't control myself." He muttered embarassed, barely able to get it out. Embarssing himself was...embarassing. Mortifying, even. Seeing as all the student on campus were girls, it was that much worse.
He reached over to Ever and put the lotus atop her head as a joke of some kind. He knew she wasn't laughing at him in a mean way, but a little teasing is always fun. "A lovely flower for a lovely girl." The floramancer grinned deviously before looking up to the teacher, waiting for instruction.

Professor Markums looked up from her roll sheet and chuckled. "Don't apologize, Michael. I'm sure you can't control it, and it looks wonderful. As I said, a good way to start class. Don't be embarrassed about being able to create something so wonderful."
She smiled at him and then continued taking roll.
When Ever felt something on the top of her head, she reached up and carefully felt around the air up there. When her fingers brushed something soft, she grasped it carefully and brought it down to her lap. Her sad face brightened up slightly at the sight of the flower.
She turned her head and smiled at Michael. She didn't know if he had seen her looking sad and was trying to cheer her up or if he was simply joking around. Either way, it made her smile and chuckle softly. The flower was beautiful.
She mouthed the word, 'thanks' to him and then turned her head back around to the front of the class. Her eyes still caught a glimpse of the red hair that was Phobos', though, and her heart dropped just slightly again. She simply took a deep breath and tried to concentrate on the class.

Professor Markums looked up from her clipboard and smiled at the class.
"Alright, students! Let's get started. I've noticed that we're getting a little lax on the bonding time we're spending with our familiars. We're taking them for granted. So, for this entire class, the next hour and a half, we will spend time either bonding with our familiars or, for those of us without familiars, spending time interacting with the creatures in the pen behind me. I've also considered taking some of you into the forest when this barrier lifts. Some of you might find a familiar in the forest that is not here in the pen."
She looked around at the class. "Any questions before we get started?"

Aurora nodded slightly to herself at Professor Markums' instructions, before waiting to see if anyone had any questions. If no one did, then Altan had said he wanted to show her his human form today. Supposedly, he'd been waiting so he could do it during class 'just in case,' but she knew that he was really being vain and that he simply wanted to show off.
