Kikuchi was already there, waiting impatiently for the ninja. Kai grinned slightly sheepishly and ferried his students to the old man, waiting for a briefing.
"So anyway, Kikuchi-san's pedigree Siamese has gone missing somewhere in the forest so we need to find it, and that's it really..." Kai told Kana and Saku. "Kikuchi-san, do you know which direction the cat went?"
Kikuchi stared at Kai with disdain. "Well, if I did I wouldn't have hired you, right? Just look! It's in there somewhere! Find it by today or I won't pay!"
{Spot DC to find small tracks is 15. Roll a d20 and add your Wis mod and if it's over 15 you see the tracks leading into the left}

We have a time limit, greeeeeeat. I hope Kana's good at this, because I'm not sure if I am... Saku though as she nodded encouragingly to Kai and old man-what's-his-name.
She turned and plodded off into the nearest patch of the forest and kept her eyes glued to the ground for any hints as to where the cat had gone.

Saku stopped walking so abruptly, she almost tripped over herself. "Aha! Little kitty prints!" She shouted and bent down to inspect them. They were exactly what they looked like--little kitty prints softly indented into the mud.
"This is more fun than I thought it'd be." She said, standing back up and trying to follow wich way the tracks went.

Kai followed Saku as she tracked the prints and they reached a small clearing. Seemed like the cat knew to hunt. Kai wondered if Saku would see the dead bird under the foliage to the right and he wondered if she would be disgusted or simply accept it as a fact of life.

After getting quite the head start, Tomo slowed down a bit and paused as she entered the forest of Konoha. This place always gave her the creeps. It was so much different from Kusagakure, where everything was pretty open. "Eeeeh," the teacher said in aw as she looked up the trunk of a tree. Sunlight barely made it through the canopy of trees. "Amazing!" Tomo said as she pointed straight up. "Have you ever seen trees so big?" she asked Zephel as if she were the student and he were the teacher.

Zephel had finally cuaght up with his insane teacher and looked through the trees."now i know why its called village hidden in the leaves"He looked at his teacher when she asked him the tree question."Nope never have. this actully my first time in konoha."

"Mine too," Tomo said as she trailed off. She was almost entranced by the height and movement of the leaves. Dropping her pack on the ground, Tomo took off in a sprint as she ran up the side of the tree. Her feet stuck like gravity had changed for her. Tomo wasn't the best at chakra control, but she had learn this trick when she was a genin and had mastered it after a few days, which was more like a week. She stopped and hung upside down from a branch about 12 ft above Zephel. "Heeeey, I dare you to try and climb this high! I doubt you have the upper body strength to do it since you can't control your chakra like me," Tomo teased him as the woman swayed back and forth like a pendulum on a clock. Her orange haired moved from side to side as well.

watching in awe as his techer clamed up the tree without useing her hands amazed zephel."how did you do that?"He quickly pasyed more attion to the load of crap hi steacher started saying again."please i be i can control my chakra as good as you."Though she was right about his upper body strength. seeing that there was no other choice he began climbing the tree.

Zephel was amazed that he was able to hold his body while climbing the tree but he wasn't sure on how long he could hold it."damn i gotta i keep going before my body gives in and tomo mocks like always."He said quietly himself so that his teacher didn't hear him

Zephel was starting to breath a little faster and it showed that his body was starting to strain. He knew that the best thing to do was to think of something else and keep climbing to prove tomo wrong. Come on just a little more.

"crap..."He said aloud felling his body starting to feel weaker. He barely moved closer and wjhen he looked down and saw the long drop down. He quickly looked up and tryed moving up faster ignoreing his arm pain.

Zephel was putting a grin on seeing that he was closer to his teacher and all he needed to do now was to get on the branch his teacher was on. He moved his arm slowly and grasped the branch tightly."shows that your wrong."he said while sticking his tongue out at his teacher.

zephel spoke to soon and almost lost his grip." too close." He said to himself before falling. He beagn moving his next arm now to the branch so he could hopefully grab it and just pull himself up onto the branch without any problems.
