Jason Da Psycho Lady Blodwynn Jason Da Psycho Lady Blodwynn Jason Da Psycho Wow wow wow wow wow. Hellguns, ap3??? Inquisitorial Storm Troopers look hell more usable now. It doesn't work like that. Imperial Guard storm troopers get AP 3, all other codex books with hellguns stay at AP 5. Just look at the marine codex and the wargear discrepancies between that and the Dark Angels and Black Templars codex. Meh, I'll just 'borrow' some from the Guard then. Look at my edit. I know a little French and one can understand a lot from that list by looking at the stats and names. Not every language has a direct translation for something. Radiant laser = brighter than a regular laser = hellgun. Plus the weapon name is also mentioned as a pistol version, the hellpistol. Many thanks, my French has gone abit downhill lately. In other words, its a lasgun, which kills Marines... Wow. And I bet they are a hell lot cheaper than marines. At the moment they are ten points a man, this might stay the same but with the inclusion of either infiltrate or deep strike to make them more useful without having to pay for the upgrade.

Thats nasty, really nasty. Any ways, I'm off to go drool over the Dow2 which is currently downloading. And may play Cod4. Laters.

You've been really busy digging for rumours. Is someone starting Imperial Guard all of the sudden? wink

I may be tempted to start a small Guard army this May. sweatdrop
Here are the supposed releases of the first week of May, four plastic kits and four blisters: - Valkyrie - Cadian command squad - Catachan command squad - Sentinel
- Ratlings (small boxed set of 5) - Advisors (Astropath, Master of Ordnance and Naval Officer all in one blister) - Commissar Lord (with different arm options) - Primaris Psyker

You know, after looking at the updates they're making at various sources, I've come to this conclusion:
GW got a pair of scissors and started cutting bits out at random. So then they took a look at what was left and started trying to fill in the blanks with whatever arbitrary numbers and rules they could think up. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that they included some of the stuff they did. It just seems to me like the entire codex was created without regards to anything else in it, but instead just a bunch of stuff where they thought, "wouldn't it be cool if..." neutral

that sheet looked like someone made up some house rules for the guard, i believe it's legit but lol, i have to agree with Xenos it looks like some wishful thinking in a codex...
oh ya DoW2 is out, the flying thing looked cool but not a maunder bomber hovering blasting targets, it should have been more like Empire Earth with the planes staffing targets and dropping bombs not sitting there...

Hey, how much trouble could you get in if GW found you with them?

Jason Da Psycho Hey, how much trouble could you get in if GW found you with them? None, they put them on the internet on purpose as a viral marketing effort. Even if it was accidental, they published it on the web. For posting the same picture - perhaps. For rehashing the information? No.
GW wouldn't bother with small groups and forums anyway.

Before you quit I want someone to help me, or inversely I can help them.
Since the Deathstrike missile has unlimited range, it would be funny if I can call someone in another state or country for some fire support.

Just because there is new stuff in it doesn't mean you have to like it or even take it. Otherwise, good riddance. mrgreen

I remember that during the release of Apocalypse several stores had their orbital batteries take pot shots at the armies of other stores. I'd say launching ICBM's at other stores is a valid tactic. surprised

It just seems to me like the entire codex was created without regards to anything else in it, but instead just a bunch of stuff where they thought, "wouldn't it be cool if..." neutral "Wouldn't it be cool if.." seems to be the new design philosophy of the studio these days. Less thinking and more fun or bizarre stuff, sometimes horrible or poorly written rules. Old units do sometimes suffer under this one way or the other as compensation for the new stuff, just look at the Marine codex with some very odd changes in ruling or pricing here and there. But there is still so much we don't know about this new book! Officers can issue orders to their men on how they should fight. How many platoon types are there? Penal troopers are there (maybe with explosive collars). How will the new advisors affect the game? Are the new lite-commissars as useful as the current ones and the list goes on. Just look at all those special characters, biggest headcount of any codex yet, exciting! biggrin I think that some options have been included because Planet Strike is just around the corner. How best to promote a Valkyrie plastic kit then by letting the Imperial Guard use it with the promise of better rules coming this Summer? Seeing as Planet Strike revolves around aircraft in regular games of 40k the Hydra seems like a good choice to include, making the Imperial Guard the second codex army with a real AA threat in their ranks. Personally I can't help but feel excited, large number of seemingly useless tanks and artillery aside.
