Diamond however didn't answer back. She was now standing up as she looked back towards the mountains her legs still shaking with fear as she remebered the sight as she fell. She looked at the cliff and saw the bay stallion looking at her.

He smiled and nodded his head before looking back at the beautiful sight.

*Freebird paid no attention to anything around her. She gave one last look at her colt and the rest of the herd as the sun quickly set and dusk gave way to nighfall. Dim light still lingered over the darkened land, but that, too, would soon be gone. The moon was bright and full in the sky, though the sun was still a sliver on the horizon, and a few stars could even be seen. Dreamcloud and Casper lay down, Casper staying close to his dam, feel vulnerable and small like a foal, the nights were still cold, spring still early.*

*Sepsis stood and walked silently to Ghost and Kipcha and spoke quietly.*

You know she may very well not survive through the night...But if she does live to see another day, don't ask her to stand up.*

*Sepsis knew what ailed the mare, she had seen it a few times and it tore at her warming heart.*

Yes...I've seen it many times, it's a tricky disease that always leads to certain death...At least that I know of..I've never known of a cure or treatment..Not one.

*Sepsis turned away, not being able to look at the suffering mare any longer. She fought for life even as she rested. She had reached the point of no return many months ago, and would die fighting.*

Try and find one if you want..But I'm going to assure you now before wasting your time...I don't even know entirely how this disease gets you, how it infects you, how it kills you...All I know is that it does, very fast after lurking around your body for a few days....Or a hundred years.

*She turned away and went to lay down a few feet from the mare, who's spirit and soul were dead and gone. All that was left was a body, waundering the earth for a bit more before it, too, left the world.*
