The Governor's eyes focused on the lenses of the holo-cameras, "Moreover it is the duty of every Imperial citizen to report disloyalty and criminality to the authorities. In this regard the people of Seya-Qu have failed in their duty, and forced me to feel nothing but contempt for their cries of mercy and oaths of loyalty to the empire. They have hidden a mass and brutal murderer from justice, and I believe injustice should be repayed with injustice... Charr had had enough of this.
He flicked on the headset, his sight lig
"No need for that, Sirus. I'm right here." Charr's voice echoed through the speaker systems.
He fired, the hollow point bullet traversing it's deadly path for the Governor's left eye at the speed of sound.
"Mag die duiwel jou haal."

The ray shield only flickered as the round passed through, and then the Governor's head exploded as the lead shot opened up and expanded from the impact in his skull before exploding out the other side showering the two bodyguards in gore.
The two Bodyguards reacted instantly, they drew their Blastech E-11s from their robes and sighted in on where the muzzle flash had erupted in the dark theater.
Colonel Akaga hit the floor with a thud, remembering his first year as a platoon leader and what it meant to be under fire. He cursed under his breathe, "Some show this turned out to be."

Here we go! Lenler thought, his mind racing. His perception of time seemed to slow down as he readjusted his own sights on one of the Governer's bodyguards, and, aiming for the torso, he squeezed the trigger.

The civillians were in a bit of a panic, among them was someone who only acted the same to blend in, but unknown to them all, he was sporting a miniature camera and commlink all directly linked to Bolba's palace. " Are you getting this? " he quietly asked.
" Yeah, we all saw it. " someone at the palace said. Bolba remained virtually unaffected by the sudden surprise death scene. " You seem calm about this. " Duke commented, himself being just as unaffected. < I was expecting some angry local to do something like this. Not exactly this, but ending in the death of him regardless. Besides, this will undoubtedly outrage the Imperial forces enough that they'll post bounties up, and you know what that means. > the Hutt said, ending with a laugh.
Diana and the Twi'lek were both in shock, though they didn't show it. They were used to seeing things they didn't like. The rest of all those in the palace watching the holonet had mixed expressions. Some were freaked out over the sudden gunshot, others were enjoying the gory display, and others didn't care one way or another.

Bodyguard Jula Isan saw through the thermal intensifier the dull green outlines of two people in the back row. As she sighted in a flash of light blinded the sensor, and a crack echoed through the chamber as the Hunter hurled a slug. Suddenly she felt a flash agony in her side as the slug pierced her ceramic armor and punched through her side and then the backplate before hurtling on. Her robe caught fire from the slug's phosphorous tracer as she blacked out from the sudden pain and tumbled back off the stage onto the ground.
Beside her Kathryn Sul, her fellow bodyguard opened up with a full burst of crimson blaster bolts into the back of the amphitheater. Bright flashes from the bolts igniting chairs and woodwork marked their impact.

More bright flashes commenced as every light in the stadium was lit up and focused toward the stage and and the firing imperials, blinding any who dare look directly into them. This light show put Corscaunts clubs to shame.
Rate opened one of the windows and pulled out a scoped hunter and picked off two one the stage who had been blinded in the assault as the Burly man began to manhandle the techies into a small closet as well as the now restrained head-techie."We're all go Sir." Said Church as the team preceded to head out the door.
"Good," Rate turned around after taking a third out and then the team was on its way to the basement. The Burly Man in front with Rate brining up the rear.

(Jeez... you had to shoot both the guards despite the fact one was already down.)
With a puff of blood a bullet shot through Kathryn Sul's chest, dropping her to the floor. Within seconds a pool of blood began to form where she lay, and from his vantage point Colonel Akaga could see that the second bodyguard wouldn't live for long.
Behind the stage Jula Isan was torn back from being unconscious by a sharp pain in her shoulder, a second round had hit. Blinking in the bright light she moaned in pain.
Colonel Akaga crawled forward toward the stage, his eyes focused on the weapons dropped by the second bodyguard.

Unnoticed by the Imps a team of rebels had infiltrated the darkened hall, their movements cloaked by the lights glaring into the Imperial's eyes.
The signal given, the Rebels sighted in on the compforce soldiers and fired a volley at the stunned imps. Ten Hunters thundered in the dark, then thundered again as they fired another volley, determined to cut the Compforce team down.

The second the shot was fired, everything seemed to move in slow motion before Kara's stunned eyes.
The Governor's head blew apart by the hand of a sniper.
Then like a pair of dominos, the Governor's guards fell, one taking a tracer round and another felled by yet another gunman. That made three snipers and no cover to be had.
This was bad.
Now bullets whizzed past her, more shots fired at the Compnor troops.
They were caught in the midst of a fireing range, just sitting ducks for the terrorists to gun down.
For a heartbeat, she didn't know what to do. It was a terrifying feeling.
She was surrounded by unseen, armed assailants. And she didnt even have a blaster.
Blaster.
A quick glance showed that the guards had dropped their blasters.
They didn't need them anymore.
Kara made a break for the blasters, darting across the stage and diving for one.
She snagged an E-11 and ducked for cover behind the podium.
The Lieutenant poked the blaster around the edge of the podium and fired a burst at the lights obscuring her vision. the red bolts shattering a fixture of stage lights and deactivating them permanently.

As the volley of slug fire echoed in the theater Saburo glanced over his shoulder just in time to see seven of the Compforce contingent fall to the ground, bleeding from slug wounds. The others either dropped prone or ran for the door as a second volley of slugs shot into the remainder.
As Colonel Akaga grabbed the Blastech E-11 in front of him a third volley, followed by a forth rang out. As he rolled onto his back he didn't see any more of the Compforce contingent standing. Glancing over to the side the Colonel saw Lieutenant Aryss prone like he was. "Lieutenant!" Saburo yelled as he tossed the E-11 to his subordinate, "Get some weapons and start hunting down those shooters!"
Grimacing the colonel pulled the limp and bloody form of the second guard toward him and started searching it. Beneath the robes he found a commlink and a pair of Blastech DL-44, along with an emergency medkit.
Hissing to himself Saburo thumbed on the commlink as he skidded one of the DLs over to the Lieutenant's men, "This Colonel Akaga to 4th Battalion Headquarters, emergency mobilization, dispatch troops and vehicles to the amphitheater..."
Not waiting for a reply the Colonel thumbed off the commlink and struggled over to the other bodyguard. Clearly alive, this one had been hit twice by slugs, and was in no condition to fight, "Bek, you remember your first aid training?"
"Yes sir," The Bek answered from the floor.
"Then help this guard!" The Colonel replied as he handed him the first aid kit. Still thumbling he pulled from her robes the two DL-44s and handed one to Bek before hurling the other to the Special Missions Team.
Tipping a table over for cover he checked the power pack on the blaster and considered his options.

As the theater erupted into chaos, Hildegard did what any trained officer would do. He pulled out his blaster and fired two bolts.
Then ran for cover and hid. He was no fighter. He didn't even like guns. He was... well, one of those stupid people the Empire conned into joining with dreams of 'far away places' 'and human paradises.' True, he liked his job well enough, especially when it came with some nice perks.
However, not now.

Lenler saw everything through his scope with a surprisingly detatched eye. Thinking of living, breathing people as targets on the range actually did help him pull the trigger. He saw someone who looked important shouting at somebody else, then take cover behind a table. The shoutee was holding what seemed to be the second bodyguard's medpack, and looked like he was about to go try and rouse the fallen guards.
That won't do. he thought, taking aim once again. Can't have her getting up and ruining the party... Centering his sights on Bek, he squeezed the trigger again, feeling the soft backlash of a well-kept rifle discharging a bullet.

The bullet blasted through Bek's back, and Saburo turned as he heard the sudden gasp for air. Bek's back now had a bloody hole just above his right kidney. The young officer didn't collapse in pain but grunted as he abandoned treating the guard where she lay and pulled her by the armpits behind the cover provided by the table. There he collapsed in pain.
"Bek?"
"I'm sorry sir," The Lieutenant said before he fell into unconsciousness.
Saburo bit his lip as he pulled the medkit from his subordinate's hands pulled out a bacta laced-bandage. Leaning Bek over him he ripped open the back of his tunic quickly slapped the bandage on him and wrapped it with gauze. That done he glanced back at the wounded guard, still conscious. One of the wounds had already been dressed, but the one on her shoulder remained. Hissing to himself he bandaged that one too and gave her a shot of morphine.
Then he pushed the two wounded personnel off him and glanced over at Lieutenant Aryss, "We stay here and we're dead... Follow me!"
Lifting his blaster high the Colonel ran crouched as small as he could off the stage, out of the lights, and out the stage exit. Turning right he headed up the stairs with his blaster drawn.
Stopping he lifted his comm link to his mouth, "4th Battalion... report!"
"...Colonel, we have a naval infantry platoon and four tanks on the way. ETA ten minutes!"

As Rate and his team made their way through the basement and into the sewer system he activated the remote to the jammer comm hidden in the tech room drop-down ceiling."That should hold for a while. Our part here is done men. We're going home."
And through the sewers they went on their way towards the dropoff into the bay, where wet-suits and water-tight bags waited for them.
