The sun was a mangeta glimmer on the horizon by the time Elfir reached the lake; he had been walking all night and it was now morning. The weakened voice in his head had been arguine vehemently all night; something was wrong, but the fog in his head prevented him from identifying that. Standing before the lake, Elfir sensed that the weapon was close. "Soon... soon...", He whispered to himself. He set one foot in the lake, then another, one at a time, until a shock jolted him to stop. The fog in his head swirled; he sensed an extreme sensation in his leg; it almost hurt. Pulling up his pants leg, he discovered why he had been acting so oddly now! For there, there on his leg, was the wound he had recieved when he tripped over the axe in the woods!! The whole duration of his unconsiousness, it had... grown. The wound was not red, but instead an odd black, and had spread until it nearly covered his entire leg under his knee, the skin withered and dead looking. He knew without a second glance that this injury could not be healed. But... he had to remove its influence on his mind before he caused those people... who had never wished him harm; who had been so kind to him... no, he wouldn't allow it to cause them to suffer at his hand, even if it came at the cost of his blood. But first, he realized that he would have to get rid of the axe and its temptation for good.

Looking around at the boulders surrounding the steep bank, Elfir got an idea.

Checking its trajectory, Elfir secured the boulder on the top of the bank directly in front of the axe's location in the lake. Satisfied, he took several steps back; he had to act fast, the shock of the cold water on his wound was gradually fading... Lowering his shoulder, he charged at the boulder, putting his full 185 lbs of body weight behind his momentum. He struck the boulder, causing it to rocket down the slope straight towards the lake; once in the water, the enormous stone slowed down somewhat, but continued to plow forward with considerable force; crushing the axe beneath it to fragments; Elfir knew it too; the explosion of pain in his lower leg caused him to drop to the ground and clench his face as he curled up; he was going to die, it was so bad, he just knew it...

But the ex-mercernary shook it off, leg still throbbing; he had to continue to destroy every influence of the axe over him. Now it was time to get the wound out of the way. It couldn't be healed... but there was one way to get rid of it. Elfir picked up a slab of stone about the size of a headstone and, lifting over his head, brought it down on a boulder with extreme force, shattering it. Rumaging through the rubble, he finally found a satisfactorily sharp fragment. He ran it over his finger, drawing blood instantly. Yes, this one would do. It would come at a high cost, but... looking back in the direction of the tavern...

Elfir smiled. It would be worth it.

She slowly woke up, everything that had happened rushing back to her. Looking around her, the shock began to get a hold of her. Jumping up, she ran. Once she found herself in her room, she locked the door. Locked...no, bolted the door. Once the door was immobile, she closed her futon, leaving a large space on the black floor. Pulling out large, heavy Tatami mats from a panel in the wall, she laid them down on the empty floor space. Lighting thirteen black and red candles that were stationed around the space, she gathered am arm full of spice coated sticks. Setting those up at intervals between the candles and in random holes in the tatami mats, she lit them ablaze, only to blow them out. The wafting, heavily scented smoke filled the room almost instantly. Retrieving a large mirror from beneath the Futon, she shredded it into shards. Placing the shards just outside the candles, she sat down in the middle. Getting herself into a bowing position, she used one of the shards to cut a straight line down each of her fingers, dropping one drop of blood from each finger into every candle, except for the three extra that were right in front of her. leaning directly over them, she let two of her tears fall into two, and the last one, she put a drop from all of her fingers into it. as soon as those drops hit, black shadows sprung from every candle. they vaguely resembled people, but they had wings. Dark, black bat wings. extending their wings so that they touched; ultimately creating an impenetrable wall around her. retreating back into the bowing position, she closed her eyes. She couldn't leave now; she would not hurt anyone again.

the heavy scented smoke had dulled her senses almost entirely. She couldn't hear anything but the crackling of the flames. she could only smell the smoke. her entire body was numb, if she could move, she wouldn't have known that she did. she couldn't see anything, it was all black other than the darker forms that were circling around her. She only vaguely knew that Bubby was out there. " Bubby! Leave, if you've cleaned the other rooms, then you can have a break! " her voice was raspy; the smoke had burned her throat and made it raw. "Maybe it's best you leave me alone."

bubby was still outside sakuras door he tried to open it but both the locks were locked so he ot his keys and unlocked them nd whent in her room knowing he was going to pay for doing that. when he whent in he sa sakura in the middle of black creachers and said "what are those things and whatever thay are im getting u out from them."

bubby hear that she said to leave but he could tell she needed help. so he ignored her order and asked her what would hapen if he moved her. and at same time getting something to help move her.

"Just don't!" She screamed, doubling forward in a coughing fit. " Why won't you listen!?" She couldn' t move anything other then her neck and head. The candles' flames got higher, turning black. "Just leave me alone!"

She glared at where she thought her was. Forcing her body to stand, she threw her head back, letting out a scream. The sonic wave from her unbearably loud and high-pitched scream splintered the incense and demolished the candles. she demons swarmed onto her, coating her entirely with shadow. melting onto her skin, they wailed and moaned, scratching her anywhere they could reach. she opened her mouth again, emitting another scream. The black liquid melted off of her, the cuts and scratches remaining, and pooled on the ground. The puddle slipped back into the candles, disappearing into the wax. she fell to her knees, her hair still unbound. her eyes had turned completely black, even where the whites were supposed to be.
