Does anyone here watch the anime "Blood+"? I was just watching an episode out of boredom, and I hear one of the characters say "The phantom likes girls with black hair...he might take you away."
Turns out the episode was called "Phantom of the School" where some weird guy gives roses to girls and abducts them.
YAY...I have black hair!

Utakan Erin Sovenya Utakan Elainejoy Erin Sovenya Did anyone see Spiderman 3 yet? Well, just in case you haven't, I'll put the Phantom reference in white, as its a plot spoiler (kinda). Here ---> After Harry gets blasted by his little bomb-thingy, his face is half-burned. He totally looks like a ALW phantom. I was waiting for him to add a cape and mask to his green Goblin costume XD *GASPS* That's what I thought when they showed his face in the commercial. XD You forgot they had a billboard with the PotO Mask on it when MJ was going to the theater. I didn't notice it, I was too busy wondering when the ******** Venom was going to show up and be awesome. I was distracted when I saw it. I screamed and the entire theater went "SHHHH! D:<" at me. XD haha. I saw it wednesday night (before it was officially in theaters) since I work at the theatre, so it was my noisy, obnoxious friends/coworkers. We were yelling comments at the screen the whole damn movie I think. When I yelled "He's the Phantom of the Opera!" everyone kind of laughed, since they all know of my obsession.

Official story (sort of): School was once a convent--> black-haired girl named Rosa worked her bum off to grow roses in the beat-up garden--> the "Phantom" falls in love with her and proposes--> she consents on the condition that he finds a blue rose before they marry--> girl dies while Phantom searches for blue rose--> Phantom's tears grow blue roses on Rosa's grave--> Phantom gives black-haired girls at the convent-turned-school a blue rose before kidnapping them.
The conclusion is tonight and I CAN'T WAIT!
(By the way when I saw Spiderman 3, I kept thinking Phantom. I actually cried out ""Phantom!" when I saw the sign. The scene where Harry's servant talks him about his father made me think of Erik and Gerard from Y/K Phantom whee )

Utterly off the mini-topic, but today, in Spanish, we had a Felipe and a Raúl. (I had mispelled Felipe into Phillipe on our worksheet, though...) Raúl is pronounced the same, too!
I've gone full Phan today, so bear with my insane-ness.

In my english class, we're studying Shakespeare so now we have to pick a scene from Othello and present it to the class. Anyways, today my teacher brought in costumes and some guys found this red cloak and put it on, and then eventually put the hood on and hid half his face. So then one other guy is like, "Hey, where's your mask!?" And I just so happen to be standing around them and I'm like, "GASP. PHANTOM!" So then I had to go and beg my teacher to keep the cloak .. I never really got an answer, so I'll just pester her more. ^^

I was watching 'Reign of Fire' and when my brother came in, he started snickering and said something about the Phantom and Batman working together to slay dragons. Not really a POTO reference (more like a Gerry Butler reference), but I thought it was amusing.

Not really a POTO reference (more like a Gerry Butler reference), but I thought it was amusing. I can see that. Batman: Hey, Erik! Hand me the batbelt so I can shoot the dragon. Erik: Or...I could just Punjab the dragon? Batman: Or you could just do that.

I was watching Whose Line is it Anyway last night, and Chip had to act like a star in a Broadway musical for one of the skits. His performance led Colin to remark "Well, he's no Michael Crawford." I squeaked.

If I remember correct, there was another episode where someone was acting like Erik.

In Shrek 3, when Prince Charming is in his dressing room (toward the end) there's what looks like the Red Death mask and a cape hanging on the wall behind him.

I thought the same thing, too Samara. I kept screaming for them to give us a better view of that costume, but they never did.

Well, obviously, they don't think Phans are that observant.
For example, although it's remotely unrelated: Monty Python quotes in cartoons on Cartoon Network. How weird is that? Seriously, only I would get the 'Spinich Inquisition' refrence. Although the real thing was Spanish Inquisition.
Um....back to topic now, perhaps? (I need to stop speaking my mind so much....this is why everyone gets mad at me...)

Cartoons quote pop culture and stuff like that all the time. Especially the older cartoons, they're chocked full of quotes from popular books from back in the day and do tons of parodies on literature.
