Miharu locked her bike up outside the Azalea Town Pokemon Center, and headed inside. She queued up Tingle's Poke Ball for treatment, and climbed up onto a nearby couch to do some 'research'. This basically meant she'd be taking out her PokeDex and sorting through the entries until she found what she was looking for. She narrowed down her search by looking for electric types, finally coming up upon Flaaffy's entry. After reading that over, she discovered that Flaaffy evolved from the incredibly adorable Mareep, and was quite astonished to learn that she'd passed by an area where they were known to appear a few weeks ago, when she'd left Violet City via Union Cave. She snapped the device shut, and looked up as the nurse called her name. "We're heading back," she said, grinning with determination as she picked up Tingle's Poke Ball and released the Metang. "And we're going to capture a Mareep! But first!" She reached into her bag, and pulled out the two one-use TM's she'd acquired so far. "This is for you, Tingle," she nodded, and promptly taught the Pokemon Aerial Ace. She then followed up by releasing Lily, and used the green disc she'd received from Bugsy to teach the Bulbasaur Giga Drain. "There. Now, it's back to union cave!"

Spots of tall grass dotted the way to Fuschia, the sea still to the south. Despite all the beautiful landscaping, Mike could only feel more homesick. "It's nicer in Hoenn." He said under his breath, rapping his fingers on Nitro's head. The boy poked out from behind his Pokemon to observe Kasiya talking to a group of not-so-trustworthy looking bikers. "You alright Kassie? These people giving you trouble?" He leaned forward, resting his arms over his Pokemon's face, looking far from intimidating. Nitro however, needed alot of pink and purple ribbons to not look scary when he wanted to a cautious look present through the Charizard's eyes.

Ky was taken aback at Ulani's sudden rage. 'Has she ever been hurt before?' Ky thought, trying to figure out how the initially playful and cheery bird changed into this powerhouse of anger. "S..Sting! Attack with a Poison Sting!" Ky stuttered.
Lucky for Ky, Sting wasn't phased at all by Ulani's attitude. If anything, Sting was glad that Ulani was finally taking him seriously. As the bird charged, Sting jabbed with his right forearm, attempting to inject his venom into the bird. The Peck hurt much worse than before, causing Sting to double over. It was getting hard for Sting to breathe now; the two shots to the abdomen really took a toll on him. Sting hoped that Ky wouldn't call him back though, not this time. He wanted Ulani to taste dirt.

Keegan smiled, knowing that it was a bad idea to keep in direct contact with Themis. He couldn't help but admire the Chimecho's cuteness though, and the sound it made as it moved. "Give it a taste of your Thunderbolt!" the redhead commanded, and Themis quickly complied, generating a bolt of electricity that traveled through his body and right into his opponent. The psychic Pokemon didn't like that one bit, and countered by yawning loudly in the Electrike's ear. Themis himself yawned, as did Keegan, and the boy sighed, knowing that his Pokemon would fall asleep next round. Since static hadn't worked in their favor yet, Keegan called for a Thunder Wave, but the Chimecho's position made it hard for Themis to direct the weak jolt, and it sizzled as the soft earth beneath his paws grounded the small bolt out. As predicted, the green and yellow Pokemon then slumped, fast asleep.

Ulani looked a bit more satisfied upon landing the blow, but as she floated off again, she wavered a bit in the air. Something vile was in her body, gnawing away at her energy bit by bit -- this was her first taste of poison. She didn't like it. If she was dirty on the outside, she now felt "dirty" on the inside, although it was a different kind of muck. The Cotton Bird Pokemon shot the Beedrill another nasty look; who knew she could be like this when truly provoked?
M.A. sighed a bit; this was her first encounter with a poison ailment, as well. But she did know from the battles she had watched that this status problem, while not obvious at first, was a slow and sure hunter. If we drag this on too long, Ulani'll get more and more hurt, she thought, putting two and two together. But maybe another status inflictment'll even the field. "Ulani, sing!"
A beautiful, soothing melody escaped the Swablu's beak. The notes seemed to gently weigh down M.A.'s ears with such a sleep-inducing effect that she had to plug them to stay awake. She motioned to Ky to do the same.

Shortly after recalling her two Pokemon, Miharu was back outside, unlocking her bike and preparing to journey back through Union Cave. She'd gone through once before, the trip being rather difficult because it had been so dark. This time, however, she'd have Starrie to light the way with its brilliant Flash ability, which would make the trip a breeze. The small girl mounted her bike once more, and pedaled east, heading towards the entrance to Union Cave.
The many Slowpoke dotted around town watched her with lazy eyes as she passed by them, some yawning, others just staring stupidly ahead. As docile as the species appeared to be, however, Miharu knew firsthand that they made formidable opponents; a girl with a pair of Slowpoke bested her shortly after her arrival in Azalea. Miharu smiled at the memory, thinking about how wins and losses went together hand in hand.
She wasn't all that surprised to find nobody out this far as she passed by the sacred Slowpoke's Well, home to many of the town's infamous creatures. She recalled with a shiver the morbid tale the shopkeeper in town had told her on one of her first visits to the mart, about how Team Rocket had overtaken the Well, and were cutting off the tails of the precious Slowpoke and selling them for outrageous amounts of money. An unamed hero had driven Team Rocket out of Azalea for good, and hide nor hair of them had been seen in the peaceful town ever since.

"Themis! Wake up!" Keegan shouted, cupping his hands over his mouth to amplify the sound. It was no use, though, for Themis was sound asleep.
The girl smiled, and quietly issued her next command. "Chimecho, use Take Down!" The Wind Chime Pokemon made a gentle ringing sound as it unwrapped itself from its foe, then charged forward, slamming its long tail into Themis's side. The Electrike didn't stir; he only kicked in his sleep, thrashing his head back and forth.
"Come on, Themis!" Keegan continued to yell. "You've got to wake up! Attack with Tackle!"
Again, Themis showed no signs of waking, and the Chimecho took another opportunity to attack again, this time using Astonish, which made poor Themis flinch in his sleep.

"Whoever said I was underestimating?" Kilik replied, slipping his hands into his pockets, "I knew for sure that the attack wouldn't do as much damage as I had hoped. Astonish is just too weak." The boy then pulled a hand from his pocket, recalling his Lombre. A glance over at the scoreboard showed the Lombre's picture grayscaled. "But, I see how you want to play. You're calm and collected," the boy continued, "yet you like to play rough." A smirk appeared on his lips as he connected the Pokeball to his belt, then ran his fingers over another.
"You want to play rough? I'll show you rough. Come on out!" he tossed a ball so fast, it was a blur. However, one blink and anybody with eyes in their head would know who he was using.
A shower of sparkles and a white flash of light heraleded the arrival of Scizor, Kilik's powerhouse Pokemon. She cast a glance over at her new opponent; a Haunter.
The second block beneath Kilik's picture became occupied with a photo of Scizor. Granted, it wasn't green like his, but the standard red color of a normal Scizor. "Let's not waste time, shall we? Scizor!" he called out, "Pursuit!"
She blinked for a moment before realizing that he was indeed talking to her. Lombre must have been rubbing off on her in a way. Holding up her claws, she dashed forward for the Dark-type move.

After peddling for a while, Crenu was safely out of the forest and traveling through Azalea Town. Even in a pokeball, poison still effects a pokemon and will continue to reduce it's health. That im mind, Crenu peddled to the poke center as fast as he could to prevent his new poliwag from being seveary damaged by the poison. As the center came into view, Crenu lef his bike outside and went in through the swishing doors.
"Hello again, how may I help you?"
"I need you to take my pokemon Nurse Joy. I just caught a poliwag and I want to cure him of his poison, not to mention that my other pokemon are a bit weak from battling. Especially my Spinarak, she had a hard time battling the ghost pokemon of the Ilex Forest." He handed her his pokeballs on a tray and watchedas she handed them off to a chansey.
"Yes, the Ilex Forest can be quite dangerouse. It's so dark in there, and all the ghost pokemon seem to have developed a taste for menacing behavior when it comes to dealing with humans. people say that you needa hoot-hoot or a noctowl to get through alright, their foresight breaks the ghost pokemon's illusions and scares them away. But if you have neither, then you should go through in a group."
"Hmm...thank you Nurse Joy, I'll take that into consideration." Crenu smiled and sat on the couch in the trainer's lounge. He sat thinking things over while he waited for his pokemon to finish healing.

Ky wasn't exactly sure what M.A. was trying to tell him, but it became clear once Ulani's sweet song swept over him. Before his eyelids fell too far he plugged his ears as well. 'What a weird attack," Ky thought, looking to see if Sting was going to be affected.
When the melody hit Sting, his aggressiveness faded as he listened to the beautiful song. The notes seemed to soothe his wounds and all he wanted to do was to rest and listen, rest... and... list.....en.
Ky watched as Sting fell asleep in the middle of the battlefield, dumbstruck. "Sting, wake up!" he yelled, not sure of what to do. He was very scared for Sting. Ulani's temper was fine with Sting able to battle. At least then Sting could counter with his own fury. But now that Sting was defenseless, Ky wasn't sure how this fight was going to turn out, especially now that Ulani's awakened battle spirit was still thriving. "Wake up!" Ky called again, much louder than before.

Nina sighed. "But, I did what had to be done," she said, her tone of voice quieting a little. "And then, I had the same problem on the floor just below where we are now... The Rocket Admin that was in charge of this whole operation got in my way. She was yelling and screaming at me and told me to get the hell out of this place, "or else I'll make you pay, dearly." Those were her exact words. Stupidly, I told her that I wasn't leaving without my Pokemon, and... Well. Then there was a repeat performance. She attacked me, and I did what I had to, to keep myself safe."
The girl started sobbing. "A-and then I got up here," she went on. "I found my Togetic sitting near that machine that I was tied up to... She was just sitting there, sort of rocking from side to side, and chirping a little. I went over and recalled her... and I looked over my shoulder, because I thought I heard something. The Team Rocket member that I had knocked out was standing at the doorway. He chased me around the room and we knocked stuff over, and eventually he pinned me to the ground and knocked me unconscious.
When I came to, he started screaming and yelling at me, and told me that I was an idiot for not leaving while I had the chance... A-and then... I noticed the daggers I had were missing. He must have taken them off of my body when I was unconscious, and he picked one up from that desktop right there." Nina nodded in the direction of the only desk that hadn't been flipped over. "That was when he did this to me." Shakily, she held up her forearms, which were bleeding somewhat. "He said he was going to get rid of me as slowly as possible. But then, we heard the siren of the police car, and he took off before he could do anything else..."
Nina sniffled. "I can't tell you both how thankful I am that you saved me from that madman..."

Surge groaned a little, rubbing his temples with his thumb and index finger. "All right, then," he grumbled, running a hand through his spiky blonde hair. He'd seen a few Vibrava in his day, and battles with them never ended well. For a moment he wished he'd become an Ice-type gym leader, but shoved the thought from his mind as he released his ever-ready, faithful Raichu, who also groaned and rolled his eyes at the sight of the Ground-type before him. "Let's get this over with," Surge nodded.
Glen gulped, and raised both flags high into the air. "V-Vibrava versus Raichu! Let the gym match commence!"

Smiling slightly at Surge and his Raichu, he wasn't all that suprised by the Lieutenants choice. "Glad you recognize her. All right Bahamut lets start this battle off with your Toxic!" Dante comanded with a smirk. The dragonfly pokemon gave a cheary little cry, she liked the cute electric pokemon in front of her it was cute. Though when she heard the attack she did a little loop-de-loop before opening her mouth and shooting a glob of Toxic at the cute little electric pokemon.
Apollo, Meowth and Levi, all of whom were watching the battle, Meowth and Apollo for different reasons then Levi. The two older pokemon knew that there next big foe would be the Legendary bird of lightening and paying attention to this could make a huge difference. Levi was just watching because she was starting to like pokemon battles and was determined to become stronger.

"Can we, uh, help you, Missy?" one of the bikers asked, looking up at Kasiya. It was quite apparent now that the three of them were brothers, triplets, at that. They eyed Hiro and Nitro warily, but wouldn't give up their 'tough guys' routine.
Kasiya glanced at Mike and gave him an everything-is-fine nod, and she appreciated his kind concern. It wasn't without merit, though. Trouble followed Kasiya around like stink on a Grimer. "Um, well, I couldn't help notice your flag," she said, pointing up at the white, black and red banner that flapped in the breeze. "And, um, the guy who gave me this," she motioned to her KF badge, "said that if I ever needed anything, all I had to do is ask you."
The three stared at it in awe. "Simon gave you a badge," the second brother said, raising his sunglasses to get a better look. "He only ever gives that to people who beat him."
"Which isn't very often," the third brother spoke up, leaning forward so that his arms were folded across the handlebars of his motorcycle, his head resting on them. "So what do you want, Kiddo?"
Kasiya grinned, this was definitely going better than she thought it would. "Well, you see, I have a gym match with Master Koga coming up pretty soon, and I know you biker guys are pretty tough." At that comment, the three brothers each smiled. "So I was wondering if you guys would want to help me out with a few practice battles or something."
The three exchanged glances, and then nodded. "Anything for a fellow Fed," they said in unison.
Kasiya grinned and looked back at Mike again. "I guess I forgot to mention it earlier, but I'm a tough biker chick now," she giggled.

Surge didn't even have to tell Raichu to dodge the attack; the tawny mouse crouched low and sped into a Quick Attack, escaping the attempted Toxic attack. Deciding that the only way they'd stand a chance at winning this battle, they'd have to rely on evading Bahamut's attacks, and hoping the dragon would tire herself out. Surge called for a Double Team, and the Raichu split himself into five copies, all moving in sync and indistinguishable from one another.
