Dark Conspiracy She finally had decided to stop her bouncing and looked at him. Thoughts had raced through her mind as she tried to remember why exactly she was located in this area. But she couldn't seem to get passed the memory of the pirate that shattered her heart. Her face fell into a saddened look but was quickly broken as she began to speak happily. "I don't remember!" Giggled young Madison brightly, she only seemed to be happy knowing that she was now here with Ryugi and she was no longer alone. Well, I can't feel what I was following anymore, so, do you want to come with me? I know its a little silly to ask you so suddenly, but it would be nice to have someone else with me other than just family. He smiled and offered her his hand.

Madison thought for a moment, she didn't really want to leave the Doctor and Mary. Hell, she didn't want to leave all of them, but to her something didn't seem right about the Hospital somedays. But after her few short moments she held onto his hand and smiled brightly.
"Of course I'll head with you..." She soon smiled and it was fallowed by her closing the remainder of the door. Her smile faded alittle as she gazed up at the building. This was the last time she would see anything close to her family, but now she was able to see more of the world.
"Well what are we waiting for! Let's go!"

Ryugi grinned, took the little Rabbit's hand, and then turned around and moved away from the tower, walking quickly out of the anti-magic field and towards where he figured Ryudo would have chosen for a reasonable camp site.

Ryugi Kazamaru Ryugi grinned, took the little Rabbit's hand, and then turned around and moved away from the tower-- ::About this time is when someone of rather large ears would ear the sound of machines churning and rumbling and would see exactly 200 glowing steel orbs rise out of the ground and take up a permanent and stationary orbit around the tower. These were not friendly turrets, as would be seen by the warning shots that would be fired into the snow should either one of them turn around. They would get one warning shot each, if they took another step or did not turn around and immediately over on there way they would be dealing with several hundred graviton blasts as the Z.I.G. Cannons locked on and began a full attack. Let not there look fool anyone, they were not for show or for play. They would have the equivalent effect of a single burst of anti-tank rounds. The shell would rip a basketball size hole through the average person and would keep firing until both of them or anyone who was not accompanied by a resident of the Black Hospital, was reduced to meat that would not in the slightest be recognizable as ever being alive. A second thunderous boom was heard as the doors of the tower locked and bolted shut. How they were opened when they required DNA coding to open them? Who knows! Why were two "guests" left to wander around the tower without being watched? Who cares! Unfortunately a monster didnt get its chance to find them. Eitherway the message couldnt be clearer if it was written in glowing red letters across the sky...:: ((Good riddance, and stay out. Edit: Dont clog the thread with OOC chatter, thats what the OOC thread is for.))

A cold wind blew against the fore of the ordinary looking cargo-ship with the rust stained hull as it approached the shores of the cold continent. Wearing a heavy fur coat and full winter camoflauge gear, Red stood firmly as the wind hit her square in the face, so this was Guldor. There were no good harbors nearby, so a three amphibous landing craft where lowered to the ocean with her men, her suplies, and her equipment. She went on the fourth boat, which contained the food supply. Once on shore they proceded by APC to the border of the Guldor forest. There they set up camp. Red gave her soldeirs strict orders to camoflauge the encampment. In an hour the camp appeared to be nothing mere than a extension of the forest. It would serve as the base of operations for her hunt. Five of her best were ordered to scope out the area by a radius of fifty square kilometers and gather intelligence, sending their findings directly back to her. Once everything was organized Red went to her private tent and sat at a desk by the radio equipment. She celebrated the start of her mission by unwrapping the cellophane for a peice of lemon upsidedown cake and eating while sending an encoded message to the mothership telling them of findings and location. The ship was ordered to find the closest harbor and dock their, if that was impossible they were to anchor themselves and remain offshore as long as required. The cargo-ship would be required to radio her encampment if it desired to leave.

The five members of R.I.O.T. Three- three women and two men- were busy scouting the aira, carrying little more than eight inch long, three inch wide mithril hunting knives and standard HK MP5 SD sub machine guns. They moved through the forests almost as if they were mere shadows of the trees, wondering what exactly was out here. Equipment Notes HK MP5 SD3- The MP5 SD variants use an integrated aluminium silencer. Contrary to most conventional silencers, these variants do not require the use of special subsonic ammunition for efficient sound suppression. So far, it turned out to be nothing. However, stranger things have happened in Gaia, and they kept their ears and eyes alert for any possible movement. They got halfway through the forest before calling in that afternoon, their parkas, gloves, and other gear kept them pretty snug and warm. One of the women turned on her radio and began speaking, reporting her findings. "Recon to base camp; respond, over. We have nothing but white snow out here so far- we're returning as soon as possible. Cold as hell out here, but other than that we're fine. Do you copy?"

The transmision came through loud and clear. But it would only reach her ears. All radio transmissions had three levels of encoding, which were decoded at the base before being directed to her radio along a secure wire. Only herself or the most trustworthy directly underneith her it would ever hear them.
"Call it a day," Red said, "Hold your positions and continue basic recon in the morning. Radio anything further back to camp."
She hoped this dragon wasn't some fantasy, a clever ploy to keep her off the path from what she really wanted to know. Of course, it could be that even if it was the truth. She watched her breath sparkle as it turned into an icy fog while she zipped up her coat. Her revolver was fully loaded and holstered beneath her coat, in fact, her arsenal was fully loaded with some of the best equipment CEO White could afford, basicaly the best there was. She only lacked one this, a little novelty weapon she had heard about and always wanted to try, she hoped maybe she could find on those fan blades here.
"Delmar," she called, "You hold the fort, continue to establish a covert defensive perimiter."
"Where are you going, Mam? Pardon my concern." he asked.
"Where else, to find a dragon. Don't worry about me, I'll call you in when I need you, so you have a good twenty-five percent chance of seeing some action. Don't forget to unload the heavy artilary, we may need out. Radio any info to me, or come to me personally if it's secure stuff. I'll keep my tracker as long as I find it useful."
Delmar sighed, if she had a tracker on, she certainly wasn't supposed to know about it.

"Understood, ma'am. Holding potitions."
The radio feed cut and the five of them held their spot in the forests. They needed to find some way to keep warm out here, though the trees did offer good cover, though sparse cover. Still, it was something to see. The forest was beautiful, in its own stark way. This was no time for sightseeing, though.
They decided to go further, keeping their radios live for any orders as they went further into the woods. Deciding not to go too far, three were left at the area while the other two went scouting once again.
A rush of air was heard from somewhere in the distance, though it could be just the wind... however, as the forests got darker, the two of them had to activate their NVGs that they had brought along... and found a cave. They also heard something from it too.
From here, it was faint. But it still sounded big, mean, and fortunately for them, sleeping. It'd wake up and look for something to do in the cave in the morning, seeing as dragons were normally treasure hoarders and didn't leave their hidey-holes unless chasing an intruder. Still...
"All units, be advised: We seem to have found our cavern. Looks like our boy is asleep for now- but we want the damn thing awake for the fang. Still, this is a strategicly sound time to go in and get that sword... orders?"

Red picked up the transmission as she was in the depths of the forest. She was more than forty seven kilometes from the position of the cave according the cordinates on her watch.
"You found it before I did, damn you guys," she said with a bit of humor, so they knew it was more of a complement then a curse.
"I want the position completely encircled within an hour, bring in the five 65mm precision morters and post them in hexagon formation, each 100 meters from the opening of the cave, with some flexibility on positioning if the terain is rugged. Also bring up the 50mm screech morter, position it whereever you see fit, as long as it'll make enough noise to piss the critter off at the right time. I want snipers lining the ring, give them orders to go for it's eyes at first site, if that doesn't work they'll be notified of other weakspots. Most important, don't do a damnthing to wake him before I get there!"
Time was of the essense, so she took off, mantaining a pace of 25km an hour despite the rugged terrain, in the straightest path possible. Two hours should be more than enough time to get ready. Let's see how well Mr. White's boys follow orders.

"Understood."
By now, the other three members of the patrol were there and had heard the transmission. They all smiled as they got ready to go to work- this lady knew what she was doing. However, this was no time to talk about how good their current commanding officer was.
"Unpack and unstack, ladies and gentlemen. It's game time. Inform our snipers to meet us at these coordinates and relay the orders to them. Time to go to work. Move out!"
With that, they unpacked the mortars that they had brought along. It was a good thing that each of them had two- otherwise it wouldn't be all that good if they hadn't thought about the missing man on this little hunt. In any event, they each walked toward the cave, stopped at its entrance, and nodded to each other before running off in five different direcitons. of course, one of them would have to place two, but it was all good.
By the time they were at their positions, the three-man sniper unit had been informed of the situation. They were headed towards the potential battleground now, armed with PSG-1 rifles. After that, the perimiter was set up... but due to the fact that the cave tunneled through a sheer rock face, it was difficult. However, it was basicly set up so that the dragon would get hit from six angles of attack each from a potentially safe distance.
Done in fourty-five minutes.
Half an hour later, the sniper unit arrived, and one of them carried the "Phoenix" mortar, so named because of the sound it made when traveling through the air. Not to mention the fact that it was quite loud as well... It was placed about twenty meters from the perimeter, set to go off by remote. They then nestled in three trees around the perimeter and simply waited.
The other two members of R.I.O.T. Three were currently flanking Red, walking with her to the now finished setup. Which was done in a timely hour and fifteen minutes- all that had to be done now was be ready.

$ It seemed like a lot longer than it had been ut he was ready to go back "home". A boat approached the the ice land going rocking up and down from the waves. Tommy had built a mere shack from cold steel and ice and hoped his abilites would have improved it a bit. As he stepped off and his feet his the icy and snow, a smirk sparked on Tommy's face. He walked deeper into the cold lands getting back to work from where he left off. $

She reached the perimeter thirty five minutes after it was set, due to the fact that it was a full 100 meters from the target. But as the forest was thick, it took her another ten minutes to reach the position one-hundred meters in front of the cave. That way she could see the cave because of the clearing leading to it. A high ranking officer of the fith division was waiting for her. Whatever was in there possed next to no magic energy, she felt more of an itch in her marks from the more talented members of her team than she felt from the cave.
"You are sure this is Fenrir?" Red asked, "I don't intend to waist good fireworks on a colony of bears."
"I assure you this is no bear," said the officer, "The infra-red and infrared radiation scans are consistant with a wyrm. We've also detected trace elements of sulpher and methane in the air. This is your fire-breathing variety. Though we can't accurately tell capacity, it seems the fire abilities of this particular wyrm are below average."
"Are you sure we have the right dragon?" Red asked.
"It's unlikely our target has moved," he explained, "They don't abandon treasure that easily, and it would be a long process for them to move it."
"Is there any chance that it can retreat deeper into the cave instead of being drawn out?"
"Hmmm, that is hard to tell, we'd have to recon the cave."
"How long will it take to use the passive sonar to scan the cave routes from the outside. If we can place explosives to seal the cavern we should. I only want that baby going in one direction when it wakes up. My direction."
Red took the binoculars and looked toward the entrance, waiting for her officers answer.
"We'll have it done in ten minutes, sir."
"Good, commence the operation in ten minutes. Not a second sooner, and don't call me sir."
"Sorry, Captain."
"That's better."
Red sighed, this mission might not be as fun as she thought.

Unfortunately, Red's officer did a surface scan.
When Evan said to be careful of the beast's capabilities, he was not playing around. About twenty kilometers underground, within this network of caves branching out from one path, was a five ton dragon who was about fourty-five feet long, not including the tail, which spanned for another twenty feet and hit like an oversized bullwhip. The scales, which were a black that shone like polished obsidian when hit by the light, had hardened to the point that firearms would send sparks flying, but do little else.
The soft underbelly was anything but- it was more like spring steel than flesh. The mortars would come quite in handy for it, or would have if such a big thing had not been so agile. And then there were the wings- each leathery wing would span to fifty feet, and offer more-than-decent protection against conventional firearms.
As for the claws, each one was nine inches long- enough to pass for a knife, were they not quite so big. Five inches wide at the widest point, they could tear through steel without a moment's hesitation. And the teeth- or at least the ones that Evan were looking for- were worse. The inscisors were a foot long. Long enough to pass for the blade of a polearm, and just as sharp.
But if you want to talk about fire... let's talk about fire then.
The bacteria in a dragon's alimentary tract tend to produce a natural blend of hydrogen and methane gases that were perfect for combustion. Combined with the oxygen in the air and within the dragon's combustion chamber, all the damn thing needed was a spark.
Well there was a spark, actually. The catalytic action of powdered minerals that lined said chamber were enough to send the flames aglow, and were then released via pressure from the dragon's mouth. The reason that they didn't burn themselves was because of a valve in the breathing passages and mouth that sealed and fireproofed the otherwise vital target.
That said... the flame produced roughly ten kilojoules of energy, which, simply put, could place a good-sized hole in a bank vault with one jet. Not to mention the fact that the dragon was smart. It had a little trick it could perform with as little of a jet stream as possible. All it did was breathe out of its nose the oxygen that it had stored in the combustion chamber, let loose a controlled burst, and once it hit the air patch...
BOOM.
It would be the equivalent of a mid-air thermal grenade.
With all these things considered... this dragon from Norse legend was in a legend for a reason. So the theories placed before Red were a heavy, astronomical understatement.
But she didn't know that yet. That was what the recon team was for. Within ten minutes, the seven squad members who had set up the ambush outside went inside on Red's command... and they had no idea what they were in for. If she wanted to follow and see for herself, that was all right.
They carried with them ultrasound equipment and had their watches tuned to map out the tunnel, along with a biometric reading for each member on the team and their overall position in the tunnels. So the question was...
Did she feel lucky?
