Altaira only spotted her fellows from the caravan because of Sindri, catching both sight and scent of Kala - oh she would be here when he wanted to have fun, wouldn't she? Unfortunately for the bobcat, his free rein of what her and his mother did that day ended there. Seeing the others, Alt headed over and offered a smile, with less hesitation than usual - though she dearly hoped she wan't interrupting.

"Hullo... that can't be Amkia?" Seemed her friend's angel had grown up some more.

Heather gave Lor an odd smile as she mentioned Leax. "I hope you find him." She laughed a little and turned as she heard Amkia's name mentioned and Kala shot up snarling.

"Kala stop it." She reached out to hold the cat again but Kala wasn't having it this time. Heather sighed. "Yep that is my Amkia, hasn't he grown!" She chuckled, "Come and sit with us Al! Have you met Lor? If not, Lor this is Altaira and Al this is Lorelei." Heather smiled at the two fellow gypsys happily, hoping that Susa was ok. She could come over if she wanted.

Amkia sat down for Vanna and let her pull at his hair. "You got music back soon... you will!" He patted her head amused at how much bigger he was then her.

Kala was all ready to make a large scene if need be. The open air, perfect place to break a disobediant animal.

Blood...a sight that was beyond a normal perspective. A sight DeArca couldn't take at all. His TellBook laid against the ground in a pool of its own blood, along with a blood soaked pack. Ash was crawling against the ground, going in circles as he squeaked. he wondered where DeArca was. DeArca was nearby, near the closest trash barrel he could find, his head dunked inside deep as he did the only thing he could do....throw up.

The sight of the bleeding Tellbook was more than he could stand and it not only frightened him out of his wits, it made him sick. "Nnn" He moaned, leaving the barrel as he knelt down near Ash. "What have I done, Ash?" He asked, picking up the small mouse as he began to shiver. "I just asked...I..." He stopped, shaking his head. "I'm an idiot...Valleldia warned me in the very beginning...The book is so frail" He said, standing up as Ash squeaked. "Now its useless" He said and took the remaining items from his pack, stuffing them away in his shirt.

"We'll purchase a new pack later". He said, looking around. He saw a sheet tossed away on the ground and picked it up, using it to wrap around the Tellbook. He could barely touch it with his own hands. "When we see Valleldia again, we'll see what we can do to fix the book" he asked and Ash squeaked. DeArca walked around. Since he was pulled from the group, he had to take the next step. "The Tellbook said before to ask about the Crystal-thing...so, let's just do that" he asked, taking it simple. Approaching a priestess, he tapped her shoulder. "Miss, could you tell me where to find the Crystallaureate?" He asked, hoping he said it right.

Lorelei nodded to Altaira. "I'm not sure if we've met before, but if we have, I looked much different." A small, sad laugh. "I'm afraid that I used a meij-infused item without checking with Oqaia or Valelldia... if you ever saw me, I was the woman with braided red hair. And my daughter, Vanna, was the purple-skinned girl with three eyes."

She laughed again, amused at how they might not know each other even after they had traveled together for so long. She had noticed it before, but it still seemed just as odd.

Vanna curled up on Amkia's lap, playing with his curls. They were so pretty! And he was warm, too, and happier than Lorelei had been for much of the evening.

Baptiste looks over at Tamlin's scepter. "Charity, mm?" he muses, wondering if the word has significance for her, or whether the words on the scepters are random virtues. He doesn't know anyone else here except her, so he has nothing to compare it to. He'd been ignored; skipped over like all the other men. This doesn't seem to bother him--he's only here because the caravan he'd joined is here. Folding his arms across his chest, he listens for a response from the woman Tamlin had spoken to.

A familiar face catches his eye--one of the women from Valelldia's caravan--his caravan--is standing nearby. She's holding her dark-skinned daughter on her hip, trying to manage her, a scepter, and the scepter given to her daughter. He wanders away from Tamlin. "Would you like some help?" he asks. "It looks like you have quite a balancing act." He flashes a smile. "I could hold your charming daughter for you, so unencumbered with a scepter as I am."

When the talk of motherhood and her son faded, Mirela was lightly ushered toward a tight circle that was forming around a seated priestess; reluctantly releasing Tafari’s hand as she moved. Casting a glance over her shoulder to check upon her child, much because of the faint feeling of distrust she felt toward the white-robed strangers, the young woman breathed a smile sigh of relief and turned quickly as a familiar voice spoke to her. “Irina” she stated cheerfully, gladdened at the sight of a familiar face - the feeling only growing as she caught sight of the figures of Silver and Caroline from the corner of her eye. “The priest I was walking with said that the festival was the time in which the Spirit would choose its bearer, mother, but I don’t know what this is all about” Mirela replied with a shrug, nodding her head in the direction of the priestess with the cloth to emphasise her final words. “What about you? Have the Sect members revealed anything to you? Something that might explain what we can expect?” the teenager asked in reply, brow furrowed as she pondered on what lay ahead of them.

Tafari watched as his mother moved away, golden-brown orbs watching her carefully as she moved through the crowd. He didn’t struggle, although he wanted desperately to follow her, content in his belief that she would return to him soon enough. Familiar faces toward the back of the circle helped to make the separation easier, the centaur infant watching them briefly before searching out his mother once more.

When yet another figure in white offered to hold Silver's children for her, she only held them tighter and shook her head. Not a chance. "Momma, that hurts!" Aisrhan tried to wriggle her fingers in Silver's tightly clenched hand. "Oh! I'm sorry, Ais!" She loosened her grip - a little. Then Silver realized that they had been parted from Kidra somehow, but could not recall where or when it happened in all of the commotion. She shrugged and let the Priest lead her on. She would probably see Kidra again before they left the port. Silver hoped so, anyway. She wanted to meet the other woman's new Fortunette.

Silver soon found herself and her children placed within a circle, wondering what the woman in the center of the circle in front of them was doing with a white cloth of sorts.

Aisrhan was just about to ask her mother what was going on, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She hissed defensively and whirled around, fangs bared, but she froze when she realized it was Rojiza. Her eyes widened "Ro!"

"Honey, what's wrong?" Silver turned around and saw Caroline behind her. "Oh! Hi Caroline!" Silver smiled, glad to see familiar faces yet again."Any idea what this is all about?" Silver nodded toward the woman with the white cloth.

"I remember. I think we've met before, but only briefly, maybe? I'm still getting used to being in a caravan rather than on my own, so I'm afraid I've been...standoffish with everyone." She sat down with the others, putting down the calm bobcat and casting him a glance - don't you dare fight with her now!

"It's nice meet you both properly at last." Again, her smile widened, seeming more comfortable than she used to be with the others.

Sindri, for his part, was going to laze by her side and watch Amkia and Vanna. Ignoring Kala now he was over here, though vaguely amused by the effort she was putting into making him submit properly. The first time had been only through self preservation, not through actual defeat in his eyes, with her pinning him to the ground. If he played his cards right, the entertainment would go on at her expense and he wouldn't end up in such a position again.

Heather smiled at the other two gypsys though keeping an eye on Kala though the honest thruth was that if Kala attacked Sindri there was no way Heather was going to step between Kala and someone if she was going to attack. Kala in fight mode would hurt anyone, uncluding Heather.

Amkia laughed at Vanna, holding her quite tightly. mainly because he was worried that Kala would hurt her and if Kala started on Vanna then Amkia might not be so angelic. For now though he was happy with Vanna on his lap.

Kala was happy too. She watched the bobcat for a while before the snarl formed in her throat. She was going to wait for a little bit before attacking but there wasn't a better place to humiliate the small cat. He wouldn't survive in her jaws.

Sindri raised his head round to look at her, over the flat of his mothers lap - for she was between them - with that low start of a snarl. Oh alright then, let the games begin! And with that he snarled back, ready to start the chase. Here, he had advantages. People to dash through with greater ease than the larger cat. He had speed, if not size. And he could get to places she couldn't because of that.

Kala smirked and looked at Al. Yes she was that horrible. He runs away, then he is leaving her to Kala. She let a smirk cross her maw and contiuned to stare, her eyes moving between the bobcat and the cats mother. Kala was evil it seemed.

He should leave. If Alt was a bobcat-mother, and her kittens were threatened and she had no way of possibly svaing them, she'd leave. It was nature. He should leave. He should leave... or make a chase, impishly leading the larger cat away. No, just leave.

As he bounded over his mothers lap - claws digging in a little where he was just a tad worked up - careful not to just jump in Kala's jaws and aiming to land on her shoulders, it crossed his mind too late that pouncing was not exactly leaving.

Kala lowered herself to the ground as she watched what he did, moving back a little before pouncing herself she jumped, mouth wide open and claws looking very sharp.

Right now there seemed to be two options, one, she would hit the bobcat or she would miss and hit Al. She had planned her position well.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 05, 2007 7:25 am

Alt, for one, was shocked, but not too slow to move. This didn't matter however, since the bobcat turned himself a little to collide with Kala. He was smaller - maybe it would help him dodge those claws and teeth. If he could hit her, he'd go down clawing and biting whatever of the pather he could get a hold of.
