Angelino shifted slightly and rolled over onto his stomach, waving a hand as if he were fending of a fly. He mumbled something then settled back into a peaceful doze, sand coating him from head to toe.

"It's Angelino! Stoooop." Cheveyo skidded to a stop, neighing and rearing slightly. When the horse stopped moving, Tuari jumped off and grinned, running, jumping, then landing happily on his friend.

Angelino squeezed his eyes shut tightly and tried to squirm away, thinking Elros was pouncing on him like she always did when he didn't want to wake up. "Gerroff! I'm sleepin'!"

Tuari grinned evilly, then gave him a big, wet kiss on the cheek,"Wake up, sleepy head!" he snickered, looking at Cheveyo and the vaguely visible Dyani, grinning.

"C'mon mom, leave me.." He paused mid-sentence, slowly opening his eyes. That hadn't been Elros' voice... He looked up and there was Tuari. "Aww, dude! Nasty!" He sat up and wiped at his cheek, but he couldn't stop a slight redness from creeping across his features.

Tuari laughed and sat back on his heels, grinning widely,"Hello to you too, sunshine." He'd gotten a slight sarcastic streak from his mother,"Are my kisses really that gross?"

"Yes, they are. And I'll thank you not to do that again, please. How would you like it if I woke you up that way, hmm?" he asked indignantly, still trying to clean off his cheek but just getting more and more sand stuck to it.

Tuari rolled his eyes and wiped off Angelino's cheek with his clean hand,"Baby. And I wouldn't mind, I like kisses," he said in a joking way, still grinning. Nothing could dampen that boy's spirits.

Tuari shifted uncomfortably,"..." he looked down, frowning lightly and shrugged. And that was all he did, except poke at the sand with his finger.

Angelino blinked at Tuari's reaction and frowned slightly. "Tuari? Did I say something that upset you? I'm sorry if I did."

Tuari mumbled something and just shrugged again. What was wrong with kissing a guy? Mum had said it was fine...though, she also said he was too young to be kissing anyone, let alone a boy.

"What'd you say?" Angelino asked, tilting his head. He fell silent for a moment then said in a pleading voice, "I really am sorry if I hurt your feelings. Forgive me?"

Tuari blinked and looked up, then smiled weakly and nodded,"Yeah, you're forgiven." he felt a little self-concious and uncomfortable now, though.

Angie sighed and let himself fall backwards, his arms aspread out to either side as he lied there on the beach. He let out a heavy sigh then slowly rolled over onto his side, drawing in the sand with a fingertip.
