In the beginning she obviously only liked Cloud because she saw so much of Zack in him, then when we get to the date she realizes that he's nothing like Zack and wants to get to know him, then she dies and we now come to 'The Maiden who travels the planet' where she all of a sudden she starts going on about how she loves Cloud more then Zack bla bla bla, then finally she gets to see who Cloud really is when she, watches him and Tifa in the life streem sequence. After that it says that Aeris was surprised to find out the real Cloud and she watched over him like a motherly gaze. This also goes right in line with the way she was acting and talking to Cloud in Advent Children. So yes Aeris dose love Cloud but in a motherly way. Here is passage from 'The Maiden' to make my point clear. And so, Tifa accomplished the task. Collating her own memories with that of Cloud's, she looked for the things that only the real Cloud could know. Proofing it all, the closed door was opened. Not leaving Soldier allowed Jenova's power that was implanted in Cloud to copy the Soldier traits of his close friend, Zacks. Drawing out the deep memories that were firmly clammed up inside all of that, she reconstructed his original character instead of the fake character he created to protect himself.

I love my siblings to death, but not the way I would when feeling for someone I want to give my soul to. Also, when it comes to Cloud's feelings, he doesn't view her as a sister or mother at all. Their relationship transcends basic friendship. The live together and even act like a married couple. (Arguing) Of course, how you analyze this would be different. I don't see any sibling relationship.

: D ahaha I think notBut Barret is almost never there. Hes out finding new sources of Oil during that period in time. He has his basic roots in Edge along with Tifa and Cloud, but those two are pretty much the mother and father to all the orphans in their care. And its not why theyre living together, its how they are living together. If you havent seen couples living in the same place as single people, thats just ridiculous.

Their relationship transcends basic friendship. The live together and even act like a married couple. (Arguing) Of course, how you analyze this would be different. I don't see any sibling relationship.

He has his basic roots in Edge along with Tifa and Cloud, but those two are pretty much the mother and father to all the orphans in their care. And its not why theyre living together, its how they are living together. If you havent seen couples living in the same place as single people, thats just ridiculous. Exactly. If you read 'In The Case of Tifa' it states that Barret left Cloud, Tifa and Marleen alone for several months, That's more then half a year. It also states that Cloud, Tifa and Marleen were very happy together during those months, just like a real family. It's only when Cloud kept going back to get packages from Aeris's foster mom, that he started becoming depressed again.

In the beginning she obviously only liked Cloud because she saw so much of Zack in him, then when we get to the date she realizes that he's nothing like Zack and wants to get to know him, then she dies and we now come to 'The Maiden who travels the planet' where she all of a sudden she starts going on about how she loves Cloud more then Zack bla bla bla, then finally she gets to see who Cloud really is when she, watches him and Tifa in the life streem sequence. After that it says that Aeris was surprised to find out the real Cloud and she watched over him like a motherly gaze. This also goes right in line with the way she was acting and talking to Cloud in Advent Children. So yes Aeris dose love Cloud but in a motherly way. Here is passage from 'The Maiden' to make my point clear. And so, Tifa accomplished the task. Collating her own memories with that of Cloud's, she looked for the things that only the real Cloud could know. Proofing it all, the closed door was opened. Not leaving Soldier allowed Jenova's power that was implanted in Cloud to copy the Soldier traits of his close friend, Zacks. Drawing out the deep memories that were firmly clammed up inside all of that, she reconstructed his original character instead of the fake character he created to protect himself.
"You did it, Tifa. Thank you... I'm a little jealous of you but, do take care of Cloud and the upper world."
Tifa embraced Cloud tightly as he returned to his senses. Aerith watched as both of them returned to the surface while smiling like an affectionate mother.
On the Way to A Smile
It may have been a little sad that Cloud had found another world that I didn't know about but, I thought the fact that his world was expanding should be welcomed. Yes, it was similar to the feelings a mother would have. Tifa walked Cloud outside and was enjoying the new feeling that was blooming in her.
This really suggests that Tifa and Cloud are more like family, like brother and sister, rather than like lovers. Tifa feels motherly towards Cloud, (which is a sweet touch) and is proud of him, but there is no mention of any romantic feelings on either side - even though we're seeing events through Tifa, she never mentions her love for Cloud, or her hopes for a relationship. It looks like family is more important to her than a romantic relationship.First of all, I'm not trying to be rude or anything but you really aren't making any sense with this. How dose Tifa feeling slightly motherly show a brother and sister relationship? That makes no sense at all. Second, why would the creators have Tifa mention her love Cloud and her hopes for the future, when they have already made that blatantly clear through out the entire game? It's a fact that Tifa is in love with Cloud. Her whole story line revolves around her relationship with Cloud, through the game, In The Case of Tifa, and AC. Tifa's love for Cloud isn't even debatable. And third, so what if Tifa had feelings "similar" to the feelings a mother. Girlfriends and boyfriends, husbands and wives, often act and feel slightly parental toward each other every now and then. It's a natural part of any romantic relationship.

Also the way Aeris and Tifa act toward Cloud in AC are very different. Tifa acts like a girlfriend/wife while Aeris acts and talks to Cloud like a mother.
but its your opinion do what you will with itWell duh, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see the differences in Aeris and Tifa's actions. Cloud calls Aeris mother and then Aeris calls him a big child. This logically leads me to believe that Aeris thinks of Cloud as a big child. Tifa may see and think Cloud acts like a child sometimes but she doesn't think of him as such. Also yes Aeris loved the Cloud she thought she knew. Then she got to see who he really was and her romantic love for him turned into that of a mothers. As it portrays in 'The Madien'.

This is a message to you Pink. I'm going to have to ask you to stay off my thread. You can't seem to come in here without starting some kind of debate with everyone. I may think Aeris is a slut and that Cloud love's Tifa but you don't see me invading your Cleris thread to post that do you? No, because I at least give you the respect of living your Cleris thread alone. If you want to have an LTD on your thread then that's your prerogative but don't think you can come on my thread and start an LTD. I have had this discussion with you before. I don't know if you just forgot about it or if you're just rude and don't care but regardless, my thread is a place for Clotif fans. If you don't like it then stay away. If I have to say this one more time I'm going to inform strawberryicecream.

: D ahaha I think notDude....that hurt me...... I was being vague about the married couple part, I apologize. And your views about the "living together" is totally skewed. The fact that Square portrays them as "living together" for, how many months, means that they are "living together". It's quite obvious really.....Barret isn't around. He's off looking for oil if you haven't read Tifa's case. She also describes how she saw her family. Cloud was acting like a young dad, teaching Marlene and Denzel, showing them the map. I don't want to assume that you haven't read Case of Tifa because that would mean most of your points are invalid.

Damn, I didn't read all the arguments, just the beginning and end. It's kinda whack from what I was able to read.
Cloud and Tifa are living together. That does not prove that they are a couple or not, but it does prove they are at least close to each other. As said by Shuyin-San, who was rudely ignored by both Pink and RxH, and Twindream, Barret's pretty much away trying to find alternative energy so that the world could survive without mako. That would leave Cloud and Tifa pretty much alone apart from Marlene, Denzel, and the other orphans.
Now, I'd like to take the flipside of the coin. Because two people are not living together doesn't mean they aren't a couple. That confuse you? I did... Anyway, there are some couples in the world, amazing as it is, who are engaged or even married who haven't lived in the same house after the engagement/wedding! I know, it's crazy, but it happens!
Can't really use Tifa and Cloud are living together to say they are together, but you can't deny that fact. If they're living together, it's not automatic proof that they will become a couple, but it at least hightens the probablity. They could finally take time to talk, get closer together as they did in the old days as kids, and maybe become a couple.
Or, they could just stay close friends and look for love in other people, or maybe even not look for love at all.
As Shuyin said in a topic that's a longtime dead, there are no definitive couples. And in a sig that I saw, there is no right or wrong, there are just views and perspective. This is a CloTi haven, mean for CloTi and supporters of the coupling. I'm getting pissed more often, almost threw a punch at a cop who was also the owner of the house that my mom is renting, so I don't really need this bull right now.
Just keep the love, keep the hate to yourselves. If you want to start the flames Pink, that's fine. You want to fan the flames RxH, that's fine, but do it through a fine thing we call PMs. Keeps it to yourselves, lets the hate out, and it doesn't scare people away from this thread.
If RxH does this in the Cleris thread, Pink, I wouldn't know, haven't seen her post much in your thread bashing or taking away evidence of how the couple could possibly work or could have worked, but if she has, sorry for singling you out.
RxH, sorry for ranting, just needed to let this out since I'm, well, sick of the arguing. You're a cool person, and I respect both you and Pink, but it's times like these that just makes me shake my head and wonder how the hell a 14 year old kid like me has to deal with this, man...
Man, I haven't had a good long rant in a long time... I think it's time to drown in some cheap booze like I was at the Final Heaven bar or the Wall Market or something, I dunno...
