Reijin walked slowly through the garden, admiring the blossoming trees that lined the path. Seeing the group sitting ahead, she bit her lip nervously as she quietly approached them. Bowing deeply, she murmured a greeting to each. "Iyasu-sama, Luna-san, Tanpopo-san. I hope that I do not intrude."

"I wanted to give you these, because I have become very close to you two . . . very much like my real sister and I were, probably even closer." Iyasu answered Luna's question with a caring smile. Just as she had answered their question, Reijin entered into the garden.
"Reijin-chan, how are you doing? Girls, you remember Reijin-chan, right?" She asked them, motioning for Reijin to join them.

Reijin nodded softly and smiled. "I am doing well, Iyasu-sama. And how are you?" She sat near Iyasu, carefully smoothing out her kimono as she did, before adding, "I hope that you are all doing well." Pausing, she added softly, "I apologize for my absence. I shall work harder from now on."

She smiled to her, "I am doing very well, thank you. You will have to work very hard to catch up with the other maiko. Have you spoken to your older sister to see when you might go back out?" She asked Reijin a little concerned, since she had not seen the other Kazenotanpopo Okiya geisha for quite some time.

Reijin bit her lower lip and looked down at her folded hands. Her voice wavered slightly as she spoke. "I have not seen my older sister for some time...I spoke to one of the other geisha, and she said that Hara-onee-sama has not been seen in many weeks...I am worried that something has happened to her." A tear slipped down her cheek silently. "I feel terribly selfish. I worry that she will not be able to train me as her little sister, when I should be concerned for her. Something terrible may have befallen her, and all I can think about is that I may never get to become a geisha now that she has disappeared." She took a shuddering breath before adding, in almost a whisper, "I am ashamed."

She looked to Reijin curiously, "You have not seen Hara-san for some time? How odd . . . you did speak with another geisha from the Kazenotanpopo Okiya, correct?" Iyasu questioned her younger sisters' friend, knowing that something like this has happened before at this specific okiya. She softly pulled a kerchief from her obi and offered it to Reijin. "My dear, do you remember how far you were in your training? You have made your debut under Hara-san?"

Popo bowed her head to greet Reijin. She patiently listened to the conversation. How odd that another geisha had gone missing. Popo thinks she remembers hearing of another once. She hoped that her own onee-san would not abandon her or mysteriously disappear. heart

Reijin nodded. ""She has not been seen by anyone." Sniffling, she accepted the handkerchief and dabbed her eyes. "Arigato gozaimasu, Iyasu-sama." She looked up slowly, trying to calm herself. "I am sorry. I do remember my training. Hara-onee-sama was teaching me how to dance. She had not yet told me when I was to make my debut, and then she just stopped showing up for dance lessons. I have not seen her since," she said.

"She just stopped showing up? I wonder about Shagatsu-san . . . he was her danna." Iyasu patted Reijin's hand caringly, "Well, since you have not yet made your debut . . . and your Onee-san has disappeared, and if it is all right with Tanpopo and Luna . . . I will would like to be your Onee-san. What do you think Popo-chan? Luna-chan?"

Popo nodded yes. She didn't know Reijin much at all. Popo felt that Reijin was trustworthy and friendly, so Popo had no reason to not allow Reijin to be Iyasu's other little sister.

"Of course, this means we have to find a whiter collar for you, Tanpopo-chan! You are the senior maiko of the group!" Iyasu said with a gentle smile as she sipped her tea, "I think we should try our next appearance at Lounge and Bar, it's more a tavern setting and I think it will be bit a more relaxed!" She smiled to them, "Luna-chan, you've been awfully quiet . . . Are you all right?"

Luna had shifted and was laying on her back aparently dozing. She rarely slept but the peaceful sunlight had made her sleepy. In a way she looked younger and childlike when she slept, the fear pain and confusion gone from her features. She was pretty when she was relaxed, and for once today she seemed in a far better mood overall. Her long black hair lay strewn on her shoulder and back strands falling infront of her face.

Reijin beamed when Iyasu offered to take over her training. Since first coming to the okiya, it had been a secret wish of Reijin to have Iyasu as her older sister. Reijin admired the geisha, and this was an incredible opportunity for her. Her heart leaped when Tanpopo acquiesced to Reijin's training, and now she looked hopefully at Luna for her assent. The sleepy-looking maiko had arrived at the okiya around the same time as Reijin, and the two had been close friends, but Reijin did not dare assume that Luna would automatically consent to sharing her onee-san. She waited with anticipation, hoping that Luna would agree.

Iyasu looked over Luna, relaxed in a sleepy day dream. She shook her head with a soft smile, "Luna-chan, time to wake up dear! There is someone here who you may remember quite well!"

She shifted and slightly mumbled rubbing her eyes. "I-I must have dozed off int he sun.." She yawned slightly anf glancing up her eyes met Reijin's. "Ahh Reijin-chan!!" She grinned and forced her legs to prop her up so she could hug her friend. "You've been away so long." Her sleepiness had fadded in her excitment and she'd nearly knocked over her tea in the proccess.
