Once Kazuki had made the propostion Yoko released the water and then went over to Rei and Raj. "C'mon guys were leaving I have no time nor the effort for childish games like this. I have much more important things to spend my time on. Farwell Kaz." Yoko called back to him as they all walked away. "Should we ride Micah or Coco guys?" Completely ignoring Kazuki from this point on.

Kazuki waved his hands to the right and the water from the river shot stright across and then the water followed and froze into a large wall of ice. Kazuki then stood in a fighting stance. "Your anyoning me now, and Yoko your always running off with someone I know, or love. That or my enemies. I am going to kill you, Taizen, that stupid air head, and that girl." Kazuki said as he walked for them the wind blowing in his hair.

The ice wall blocked thier path and Yoko knew that Kazuki wanted to fight but he wasn't going to waste his time. Simply moving his left arm Yoko turned the wall into mist and made it leave the area. "I'm done Kaz, leave me be. Leave my friends be. Move on with your life." Continuing Yoko and the others left.

"Yoko! This is not over, they are not even your friends.....YOKO! DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON ME YOU......BASTERD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kazuki yelled as he fell to his knees and started to cry. Kazuki then looked up and stood up. "No more....I am going home and I am making a few changes." Kauzki said as he walked out of the forest and then to his small boat and head back home. "Yoko.....Taizen....Tsuzuki....I swear you all will die by my hands....thats my word." Kazuki said to himself.

The air had seemed to settle once Kazuki had left, turning his head to look at Raj Yoko said, "So now that he is gone I can go over the plan? But first I must ask are you willing to put your life on the line to save some one?" Knealing down Yoko fastened his shoes tightly and adjusted his other items on his body so he could be most comfortable for a short training session.

Raj glowered at Yoko, it was bad enough Kazuki had gone after them, he didn't have to play cryptic too. The earthbender walked past him to a tree and leaned against it lightly. "So cut the useless crap, Yoko, where is she?" He asked, looking up at the waterbender. Obviously, she was in some sort of trouble, he could just tell them what it was so he knew what he would have to do.

The trees around them shifted in the wind all around them as Yoko thought intently as to what he would say. "Well, Tsu has been captured by the Dai li, she has been taken underground to I guess a prison or secret base. There are two assasins who might be able to help us get inside to retrive her. They have been hunting her for some time now and she is thier mark. So if we can get her free for them they can attempt to retrive her and thats where we will stop them and attempt to escape. It is risky, by all means its crazy but I think I might just work. Their incintive is to retive her for money, so we have to make sure that no matter what they don't get to her before we do." Yoko's voice was very stern and serious as he talked. Looking into each Raj's and Rei's eyes Yoko awaited thier reply.

Raj clenched his fists and struck one firmly against the tree he had been leaning against. It hurt, pretty badly at that, but he was extremely frustrated that Tsuzuki got herself captured and Yoko didn't seem to do anything. It better have been quick and sneaky or something or he would have yet another reason to dislike the waterbender. Instead of shouting at him, Raj turned away and moved to head deeper into the forest and away from the river so that Yoko hopefully wouldn't follow him. "All right...then I'll see you back here later..." He commented blandly, planning to go practice earthbending before following Yoko into a fight against the Dai Li. If he didn't train first, it would just be flat out suicide.

Raj put enough distance between himself and the others that they couldn't see each other, but if anything did happen, then they could find one another easily. He hadn't even changed direction one way or the other to keep from being followed, he simply expected the tiny shred of respect in being left alone. The earthbender took in a deep breath as he stood with legs set far apart and knees bent. He brough his right arm in front of his face, palm out before moving it up and out to the right in an arch until it was in front of his stomach with the palm twisted to face inward, repeating this process with his left hand in the opposite direction.

The young earthbender inhaled deeply and let it out in a rush, stomping forward and thrusting his hands out at the stones that leapt from the earth before him. They crashed into a tree, stripping large pieces of bark off and causing him to wince a bit. Sorry Tamu... He thought painfully, rotating his left arm backward, stepping forward with his left foot now while holding his right arm straight up before jerking it down so that the ninety degree bend of his elbow was in front of his heart. Another large stone bounced in response which he kicked toward a clearer part to do less damage to the vegetation.

Raj assumed the Hung Gar stance, left foot's toes pointed at the ground with the knee bent slightly forward, left hand held up in front of his chest with the palm outward and the fingers hitched while the right was held out just below his ribs palm-up and slightly cupped*. He shuffled his feet forward slowly, then moved back, jumping and flipping his right leg over his body to bring his heel crashing into the ground. Earth leapt up before him and then dropped back where it had been since it was more of a defensive practice.

He stepped back and let out a disappointed sigh. That wasn't good, he would've been vulnerable to a second attack because he had only thought of defending at that moment with no pressure on a decision. How badly was he going to make a choice when he was in a serious fight? He took the stance again, going through different motions as he thought through his moves a little more, trying to put his planning two steps ahead, then three. He was extremely uncomfortable with that first mistake despite being tired and worn. Mistakes were unacceptable, he couldn't die without fulfilling anything he'd promised to do with his life.

Raj's training had brought the sweat out quickly, never allowing himself to rest since he wanted to get home or to some inn only after he was finished. He dropped to one knee, panting as a boulder fell in front of him. The training was starting to get to him and he wasn't close to being done. He forced himself to stand again and pushed at the rock, hurling it away with the force of the push along with his frustration with how badly he was doing adding some power.

He took the broad-legged stance again and stepped backward with his right leg, stepping down firmly with his left forearm held straight up and down and the right to the side and angled out.

"Raj.." He stopped and looked, the voice was unmistakable for him. However, he was alone in the woods, the trees and forest animals his only company.

"You're working too much again, little brother." There it was again. Raj shook his head and growled, taking the stance again. "Lie down and rest..." "STOP!" Raj grabbed his head and yelled in frustration, stomping at the same time. The earth under his feet bucked up at an angle and threw him across the forest floor before he struck a tree.

~~~
"Raj, mother said to stop working yourself so much. You're the man of the house now." A little boy looked up from his faceplant on the ground at his older sister, smiling nervously.
"But...the more I work...the less you have to, Tamu." Was the only defense he could come up with. She only shook her head and sighed.
"Come on, we have to get some new stones. Somebody keeps stealing our fire ring rocks for some reason." He stood up and eagerly searched for the biggest rocks he could carry at least four of at once, walking with his sister back home where dinner was made now that the fire wouldn't burn out of its place.
"Raj." They all stopped eating as the child looked up at his mother. "I want you to promise me something."
"Anything, mama...What can I do?"
"The next Avatar, Raj, will be a Firebender. When you are free, find the Avatar and help them become strong." She frowned a bit at Raj's irritated look. "These are bad people, Raj, they are not what the Fire Nation is really like. Promise me you'll help the Avatar."
"I promise, mama. I'll help." Raj held out his left fist for the promise since his right was scarred with the 'O' burn. He then tilted his head to one side. "If I help an Avatar...will they help me make these people go away forever....?"
~~~

Raj snapped back to reality and sat up, looking around again. The voice was gone now at least. He stood up slowly and winced, holding his lower back where he'd hit the tree. He remembered now. He was supposed to help at least one Firebender. So much for hating them all. He looked at where stone jutted up from where he was standing before he hurt himself, walking over to the spot and examining it carefully.

"That was pretty far..." He mumbled to himself, wincing again as he looked it over more. "Maybe..." Raj took his stance one more time, thinking back to when he got mad and focused on the step.

After telling Raj and Rei of the situation at hand Yoko knew that he had to think intently on what thier actions would be. For all he knew the assasins might never show up and then how would they save Tsuzuki. How would they be able to get inside where she was and rescue her. Walking over to a tree Yoko sat down and began to think of every detail of his plan.

...

Yoko after long thought came to the conclusion that he would have to devise another method of retriveing her, what were her charges and why would they have captured her. "I know!" Yoko turned and walked towards Rei, "Hey if the assains don't show we might have to go to the fire nation and alert them of our findings. They would surely hand her over, wouldnt they?" Pacing back and forth Yoko's mind was racing 1000 miles per hour as he tried to think up a plan b.

Raj got up again and considered changing stances again. The only problem was that between the basic Horse and Hung Gar stances, he had nothing. He had focused his training with the two, however, putting effort into making Horse the more offensive despite its rooted stance and Hung Gar defensive because he set himself lighter on his feet and sometimes could call up a defensive barrier easier and faster than simply bouncing a boulder and flinging it.

The Earthbender paced back and forth impatiently, stopping and resuming Hung Gar so that he could at least work more on it. He let out a breath, dropping and stretching his left leg to one side while bringing the right up to his chest, jabbing the ground with his hands, fingers hooked and palms down like he was about to dig. Earth in front of the young bender cracked and heaved for only half a meter. It was more a decoy move than anything. If he couldn't get it far enough to knock them off their feet, Raj could at least use the resulting dust cloud from so much earth being knocked around to cover an escape or sneak attack.

Kourou ran into the forest, completely lost and confused. Of course she was. The little waterbender probably couldn't find her way out of a paper bag even if it had arrows pointing out the way. The reason she was running was her hands. They were frozen and she couldn't figure out how to unfreeze them. She wasn't a good enough bender to control how to make or melt the ice yet, so... She was stuck this way.

Kourou found a small group of people. One was busy earthbending. It was the guy she'd seen earlier. The other two were busy talking. It wasn't nice to interupt them but... She tripped right in front of them. All her stuff spilled from her bag, revealing a bunch of small items that she'd taken from the merchants. Even her heavy hat of coins fell too. She'd earn those coins fairly though, unlike the stuff in her bag. She sat up embarrased. "Um... Sorry..." The little waterbender said nervously, hoping they wouldn't turn her in. "I must have spazed out when my hands froze." She said with a weak smile, showing her frozen hands. "Where is this place anyways?"

After waiting a good time Yoko knew what he had to do, he had to do this alone. Turning and looking at Raj and Rei, Yoko smiled and said, "It was great meeting you guys. I guess I might as well go by myself and get Tsu, you have your whole lives ahead of you. I'm at least glad to have met both of you. I'm really sorry if I caused any trouble it's just you both.. you all remind me of my old group. I guess I cant get over the past. -sigh- Oh well, wish me luck guys. Farwell..." With a small wave Yoko turned and began to walk away from his new friends. A single tear slid down his cheek as he began to dissapear into the thick brush of the forest. "I guess it's best if I leave now... so I won't end up hurting them in the long run....I hope they will be okay." The sound of Raj bending had now become a faint thud in the forest as Yoko left the others behind and headed towards Ba Sing Se.

Raj sighed as he leaned back against a tree, the chain around his arm clinking when it struck against the bark. He blinked and looked down at the makeshift armament curiously. A thought started curiosity as he considered how to use these as an earthbending weapon. He quickly unwound it from his arm, taking a hold of one end and wrapping some of the extra around his forearm for control.

The chains moved behind him from swinging backward and then shot ahead when he moved his arm forward. If someone had been there, he could've tried striking them or tangling them with the chains. Raj's focus was set on the ground as he closed his eyes in concentration and sent out a flicker of his ability to the tips of the chains.

If he'd thought ahead better, he would've tried making only one chain hit or work on getting all three to hit the same spot before working the bending portion in. The rock cracked and bucked, bringing stone up near Raj and throwing him off from where he stood. He didn't tumble like the last time, but it still hurt. He coughed from the dust and sighed, getting up and popping his back while he stood up. That could've gone better.
