:::Cora follows along, as Luke leads her out of hiding, back into the street for just a moment. A few beeds of cold sweat drip down as they stand idly at the cross walk Cora got hit in...but it seemed that no one noticed or recongized them. Everyone had moved on by then. They made it across, and down the street to were the flower shop was. They could breathe a little easier now, and Cora soon forgot about the whole thing, traveling from place to place observing each species for sale:::
Luke!! Look at them all!

:::And they hadn't even gotten into the building yet... At Luke's hesitation, she took him by the sleeve and dragged him along:::
:::Something close to 45 minutes passed, when the two finally emerged. Cora with a bouquete of every color rose available... and someone behind her, who's face you couldn't see because it was blocked by bouquets of one of each flower variety the shop had. It was a good thing too. Cora's fun might have been ruined if she could see the look of utter disgust...maybe even pain, in Luke's expression. She would have felt better though to know that she was quite possibly the only woman in the entire world that Luke would put up with this for. She might as well have asked him to hold her purse...:::
:::She turned around, beeming and sniffing at her roses regularly:::
So...where do we go now, Luke?

*Over the flowers in front of him.* I said, let's go back to the car. We'll need to put these somewhere.

:::She nods, and looks around. Cora spots where they'd come from, and starts walking in that direction... she manages to pull herself away from her roses only when they reach corners and crosswalks, at which point she became entirely alert to her surroundings.
Luke and Cora reach the car and set down the flowers... much to Luke's reliefe really. Cora had a hard time putting down the roses. Only with the promise of more interesting things did she agree:::
Alright... so now what do we do?

*Luke puts down the flowers and locks the door. He lets out a sigh of relief. That display has used up his tolerance for feminine shopping, which was amazing really, as Luke wasn't even aware that he had ANY tolerance for feminine shopping....*
*So purse shopping is out. Shoe shopping is out. Flower shopping is DEFINITELY out, and Luke would rather come down with a case of the shingles before he'd volunteer to walk through H&M''s....*
*Cora didn't need to go clothes shopping anyway. The ones she had on fit her fine.*
Uhhhh, hey, Cora. *gets an idea* You know that book I showed you one time? The one with Superman on the cover?

I thought you might.
*Luke motions with his neck.* Follow me.
*Before too long, they're in "Atomic City Comics". It's a small store, easily overlooked, but inside the place is jam-packed with Superman, Batman, X-Men, The Flash, Spiderman, and every other Marvel Brothers superhero to grace comic books pages since the '40s, maybe even some before.*
*Bright, primary colors hit them from all four walls. The theme from "d**k Tracy" plays in the background.*
*On the far wall, a ginormous poster of Superman stares them back, his fist extended and his cape billowing behind him as he takes to the sky.*
*points* Hey, look. It's your grandpa.

:::Cora's eyes come aglow with the surrounding walls... it was unlike anything she'd ever seen...but thsi wasn't really saying much obviously. There was plenty she hadn't seen the likes of. But this...
She advanced slowly, having caught sight of the poster Luke had pointed to... step by step she got closer until she was about 7 feet from it. Not daring to go any closer. She didn't know what to do with herself. Part of her felt like sinking to her knees so that she'd could look at it from below...it would have suited her feelings.
But instead she turned to Luke, an amazed look on her face:::
Luke... is this...is this some sort of religious house. Is it a place of worship?

:::She didn''t quite care what his answer was... it was fascinating... but it made her worry. She knew this was all here...all sort of documentation, and statues and scrolls of the legend everywhere in this place. Yet, he was not really there. Not a sign of him as he was described in all the myths... to talk about him was considered old fashioned in her time anyway. She and her family, their name, had given up the persuit for a few generations...still she grew up on it, like sustinance cubes:::
:::She sighed deeply and spoke under her breathe:::
Kal-El.
:::Cora finally turned and walked past Luke as though ready to leave, just a little disappointed:::

*Luke sees Cora frown. To tell the truth, he didn't exactly expect this reaction. Then he remembers... When he showed her the comic book the first time, she got all giddy and then she didn't look so hot. Just like now. She saw it as proof that Superman didn't exist. Luke had forgotten about that. Until now.*
*Luke clears his throat.* It's not a place of worship for us. Anyway.
*Luke waits a second, and experiences... Awkward silence. Awesome.*
You know... *re-directs* There's a place down the street I've been meaning to show you...
