Fang looked away from the book he was reading and looked at the one sitting on the ladder. His eyes widened. The whole scene looked like something from one of his nightmares. "No.... I haven't..." He said softly. Though eerily creepy, the book seemed to draw him in, like that of a funhouse to children. He held out his hand and touched the picture. A dark aura seemed to seep out from the contents. "Strange..." He said quietly. "It's not like... Other books... In some way, this one's quite different."

Madison nodded slowly,frowning as she did so. THere seemed almost something...familiar about the background though.She leaned in closer,not close enough though to actually touch the book.
In a background leaning against a gnarled tree a lone figure stood. THe outline was hazy but the chest defined it as woman. A tall staff with a smoky globe sat atop it,looking just like it was swirling in an anticlock wise direction. Her mouth dropped. It WAS actually spinning. She watched it for a minute. It mesmerised her as if in a trance and for a moment she could have sowrn she had seen her reflection in the globe,her eyes a plaeblue and wide.
Gingerly sh reached to open the book's first page.

Fang also looked at the cover closer. It was so strange... But it to felt familiar to him... Like some of the people on the front cover were people he knew. he backed away as she opened the book to the first page, his mind filling with curiosity as she slowly opened it.

Sighting Fang's expression she let her hand drop. She smilied at him.
Want to read it first?
His face had looked both curious and cautios.Besides,she had already read most of the fairytale book so why not let him read this one first? He did seem to take and interest after all.Once again she rested it on the ladder. Before she let him grab it though she blurted out a small question.
Before..in the graveyard. You said you knew a girl that you really liked. What was she...like?
She blushed and hid her face once again by her hair.

She laughed nervously.

He looked over at her and smiled. "No, it's fine... I don't mind..." He said and thought for a minute about what to say. "Well.... She was always acting innocent... And it seemed that she never stopped smiling... But I guess what I liked most about her is that she saw something in me... I wasn't just a shadow. She noticed me before my brother.... Kinda like you.... You saw me... And you aren't afraid to find out the truth behind the lies... She was...." He said and looked back down at the book, sighing softly.

Madison looked at the book again. As much as she wanted to intrude on his thoughts he seemed to be more or less in thought not meant to be heard by others. She was unfamiliar really with the phrase 'love' if that was what it was. She resided to just holding herself and biting her bottom lip. Fang obviously had at least felt deeply about this girl if anything.
Well do you want to get some gardening books?You said something about roses before, they were wilting right? I'm sure we could find a cure or at least a reson for it.
The words were more or less a distraction from the silence.

Fang looked up at her agan and smiled. "That sounds good... Maybe I can find out why they turn into awkward colors, too... I had a black and white one once... It looked so funny.." He said with a small laugh.

Madison raised an eyebrow.Black and white eh?
oh I don't know,diffrent colored roses sound kinda romantic. It would make you feel like the guy had taken even more care to make sure his girl got the best there was. something unique. I know I'd love a bouqet of black and white roses.
She winked at him playfully then dashed off to a few rows behind. But stopping every so often so that Fang would know where she had gone.
She stopped for a minute,catching her breath while resting on a shelf. Personally she felt she came to the library to often to know where everything was. Then again she had practically been born in a library. She stopped for a minute thinking of something else.
Not to go around in a circle but would you say you...
She hesitated slightly.

Fang was a little suprised by her sudden change in subject... He thought for a minute. "Well....." He started out, not really sure what to say. "I'm not sure that it was love.... But then again, I don't know what love is... I've read about it in stories and all that... But, I never really thought about it..."

No,I guess no one is really sure if what they feel is love right?I thought I was in love once.
She said the last part half heartedly. Looking through the gardening books. A book labeled 'roses,roses and more roses.' was there so she picked it up and flicked through the contents.
It seemed like the usual book that one would have for roses. diseases,cures,types etc.
How about this one?
She murmmered to no one in particular.

Madison handed him the book. she was a little startled at his simple reaction but shrugged it off.
her reaction seemed a little cold. It was more of a dumping motion then a handing,there was no actual wordds between them either.then again she had wanted a conversation of a sort. not that she bothered to look at the fact she was prying.

Fang sighed. He knew that he was avoiding a conversation. Love had always seemed like something that would hurt him.. Even since childhood. "I'm... I'm sorry..." He said softly. "It's just... The whole subject makes me a little nervous..." He looked up at her and gave her a small smile.

Madison sighed.She guess it was okay. If he felt it was a touchy subject then sometimes it would be best to leave it. Then there was the theory to face fears as well. For a moment she stood still,thinking of something to say.not much came to mind so instead she took a step closer to him. to be all truthful being so upfront and spontanious was never her strong field. So she got it over and done with.
I guess it's kinda hard for those that have not really expirienced love to fully talk about it so openly
After the sentence she gently leaned forward then pressed her own lips against his,drawing back a few seconds later,blushing furiously. She had been surprised that his lips had been soft,not that she had kissed any one before or really knew what 'soft lips' would feel like.

Fang was a little shocked. His whole face turned a bright red. He definitely hadn't expected that. Though... It felt so good.. After the kiss, still blushing, he smiled a little and looked at her with kind eyes. "Thank you... For understanding me..." He said quietly and wrapped his arms around her gently, holding her close. He wasn't exactly sure if this was the right thing to do, but it felt right to him.
