Hahaha, we actually got into a conversation about this, and at the time I agreed with Pez. Cidi doesn't make sense by itself, because when you pronounce recidivist, it's cid-eh, not cee-dee.
Revis has two sounds that are actually used in the word.
But speaking of which!
In forensics, there was this hilarious piece compiled of funny lists people have made. ("You know you're life is a soap opera when..." stuff like that) One of them was about what cheeses to avoid. It starts off with Sharp cheddar. Extra sharp cheddar. Murderous Mozzarella. Evil Muenster. Ect. It goes for a really long time.
One of them was Recidivist Brie.
I kind of lol'd.
