David Carr sign a 1yr $1 million contract with the Giants.

The Giants have signed QB David Carr to a 1-year, $1 million deal with some incentives. He is likely to be the main backup for Eli Manning.

...The #3 spot is still in question for the Giants. They have David Wright and Jared Lorenzen. As a Giants fan, I would disagree with the likely move of Wright to the #3 spot, while letting Lorenzen go. Although Wright may have the better skill of the two, Lorenzen has a great old-school football mindset. He is built like a defensive lineman, is fast, and smart. He may not pass too well, but he is a great rusher and is good out of the pocket. In other words, it is better to keep Lorenzen, who is not as related to Manning or Carr, like Wright.

...Also...having two #1 pick QBs doesn't hurt cool

Yeah I think that's a good signing by the G-Men. I know Carr will do better then Lorenzo they old back-up.

Well hopefully it comes to the point when Carr won't play at all... sweatdrop ...I trust Eli a lot better.

...Anyways, hopefully the Carr curse won't get Manning injured. Then Carr will play, be unsuccessful, and the Giants will have to sign 130-year-old Testeverde xd blaugh rofl

Or Manning be the cover boy for Madden and then get injured and have Carr ruin the Giants year.

Although the Giants road-warrior season was such a great NFL story to cap off their perfect year, I doubt Eli Manning will grab the bid to be on the cover of Madden. They usually go for show-time players, like scrambling QBs and runningbacks (and Ray Lewis). I'm looking for a good defensive player to be on the Madden cover. Strahan? razz

...Anyways, there was never a white player on the cover of Madden... sweatdrop

The Atlanta Falcons have reached an agreement in principle with the Oakland Raiders to trade cornerback DeAngelo Hall for the Raiders' second-round pick in the 2008 draft, pending the Raiders finalizing a contract with Hall, a source close to the Falcons told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Plaxico, Strahan, or Eli would be a nice addition...

But others that are more favored to make it are Fitzgerald, T.O., Moss, Brady, Adrian Peterson, Cromartie, Hester, Wayne, or Marion Barber.

...I personally don't think this is a good move for the Raiders. DeAngelo Hall is pretty good, but often plays bad against high-caliber receivers. In other words, he's overrated. Hall usually plays against the bad receivers of NFC South teams...Also, Oakland already has a very good secondary. Why add another good player? Hall will make you commit a ton of money, and make you focus less on more needs. The Raiders are in dire need of linebackers, an offensive line, running backs, a tight end, and maybe an extra receiver or defensive lineman.

Yeah that's why the Falcons wanted to deal him to much distraction he is overrated like you said. Oo yeah and he will be getting a new $70 million dollar contract.

I will love to see Cromartie on the cover.

Cromartie is very good, yet hasn't proven himself in the long run. It would be pretty hypocritical to put a one-year-wonder on the cover of Madden (Which is why I also didn't really agree with Vince Young being on last year's. Although Tomlinson was asked first).

But still, adding a good cornerback to your already good secondary isn't too much of a gain. The Raiders are wasting a great deal of money on a semi-distraction who's playing abilities are overrated. They are risking a ton of cap room for Hall, instead of an offensive line, linebackers, and other needs.

This was yesterday news but the Patriots, down two cornerbacks because of free agency hits, reached agreement with another veteran, Fernando Bryant.
