arrow Hefter's HavenAs Mick watched his new bath-mate proceed through his activities, Espa had given him the warning he had heard many times before. Thy Enemy and Thee, Sixth Edition by reknowned Western Gaian, Luktaft van Justien. "To live to see another day, making thy abilities small talk is what you musn't do."
You're in the other room, eh? Pity this guy's here and can't leave... Maybe I should just get myself in trouble so you have to charge in here, barely covered, and save my life. Then again, you wouldn't, just in spite.
And right now, I think killing me is the furthest thing from his mind. But you know how I am with perceiving people. Heh....>
V13 Virus "I have a feeling I'm only going to be able to exit this building unless I either relax here for a bit, kill another person..." He had exited the screen with a towel on for real and one of his razor sharp daggers in hand. He had walked over to one of the marble basins being constantly filled by the statuesque fountains dotting the wall. "Or I could just have a lot of..." He smirked and chuckled a bit. "Fun with one of these lovely ladies. I'm sure they could get me out."
Mick remained cheerful. Best not add fuel to whatever crazy-fires are burning in there... "Well, as much as any one of Hefter's relatives would enjoy it, because most of them don't get much time outside the bath house, I'm sure your definition of fun is quite different from their definition. Best to stay right here anyways, since wandering the halls wouldn't be in your best intentions right now. Ha! Look at me, lecturing a professional on what he already knows..."
V13 Virus He splashed his upper arm where blood had been oozing from the pins storage holes. For a second he watched the blood stain the water red. Then he calmly placed two new pins into the holes. "Thats better, got to keep your tools clean, eh stranger?" He was half mocking half serious. He grasped the knife he had rested on stone surface. "I had my share of violence for the day. I need a to give pleasure a chance to catch up. We can never have too much pleasure, can we?" With that he dragged the blade of the knife across an empty space on his arm, adding another notch to his twisted tally.
"That's better than trying to keep a record on paper, I suppose. And as for pleasure... well... that's a pretty tab- pfft..." Mick burst out into a fit of laughter and said, "Who'm I kidding? Never enough pleasure, it's true. It... just depends on what the definition of pleasure is, I suppose. For me... well... I don't even think I need to tell you for you to be able to read it on my face. I mean, c'mon, a man in his twenties, at a bathhouse run primarily by women, alone?"
Mick was hoping to every God that wanted to listen that this wacko wasn't going to suddenly explode in rage and try to kill Mick. After all, he really liked coming to Hefter's a lot. But a risk on his life could mean a scantilly-clad Espa coming to save him....
Oh, cruel, cruel double-edged swords...
He cleared his throat, in his mind, amazingly, and said,
Mick had almost forgot about the jewelry for his friends. He now looked forward to: 1) Getting away from Pinsy the Masochist, 2) Giving some well-deserved gifts away, and, most importantly, 3) Getting into a hot bath with Espa, whether she liked it or not
I hope that Lupin is having a better time with this than I am. With all this commotion, I wonder if the girls still perform the tantric haremish duties of the Cloud Nine package....
Mick looked over at his bath partner again, wondering what was going through that guy's mind. "So... did you study that fat man at all before you killed him or are you one of those that just gets enough information to swiftly kill the target?"

"Politics, specifically one mans want for politics to go exactly his way. Which is a problem when you lack empathy and charisma." Rigel watched the blood trickle down his arm, "He's a silly human being for being interested in such an arbitrary concept, I prefer what’s real."
"Sex and Violence interest people." Rigel chuckled, "They just interest me more."
He washed the fresh blood from the cut he had just made, and grasped it tightly. He enjoyed the slight sensation of pain when the wound was pressed together. He walked over to the pile of his clothing near the screen. After briefly rummaging through his outfit he unlaced one of the many redundant belt like straps the outfit contained.
"And I've already done one," He said has he tightened the strap around the wound, "So my way out better include a lot more of what I've done, or a suitable amount of the remaining option."
"Because." He began with mock sincerity, "I don't want to bother you long, especially if your in the market for… Company of the young attendant persuasion."

But you seem to have confused me with what you said. What was it, 'my way out better include more of what I've done, or something about a remaining option?' You've lost me there. Are you saying that, in order for you to leave this place, you'd have to kill more people, or violate some innocent girls?" This guy is about to be walking on eggshells if he doesn't watch what he says... But could I really stop him? I know I'll try anyway, especially if... *sigh* s**t.

Espa stepped into her room and swiftly latched the door between her room and Mick's. Knowing him, he'd try and peek at the first chance. The attendant started to draw Espa's bath water while Espa went behind a screen to change. She hung up her hat and shrugged off her dark leather coat, amazed that she hadn't noticed the temperature difference between having the coat on and off before. Her boots went off next.Mick You're in the other room, eh? Pity this guy's here and can't leave... Maybe I should just get myself in trouble so you have to charge in here, barely covered, and save my life. Then again, you wouldn't, just in spite. Espa shuddered at the thought of the madness that lurked in Rigel's mind. The madness of the seer, Kuruijini Ranshin, in the service of her cousin Sibyll was a controlled madness and relatively tame except for Ranshin's violent streak that manifested itself from time to time. This insanity was one that was wholly dark and evil- one driven by a bloodlust and extreme sexual deviance that never seemed to be wholly satisfied.
"Miss? Your water is ready!" the attendant called.
"Oh, right. Be there shortly."
Espa wrapped her body in a towel, relief on her face at being torn from her memories.Mick He cleared his throat, in his mind, amazingly, and said, Her mental voice conveyed the idea that she was smiling when she said that and indeed she was.

Crimson Shaedo Turning towards Elisabeth, a twisted smile crossed Niklas' face. He already had an advantage here, whether the others knew it or not.
"I'm sorry, m'lady, but I'm afraid that it is Alexander who controls how much I get paid." The twisted smile grew some, as he moved on to the veiled threat. "Besides, I know too much about our plans. You never know who might hire me if you go back on our deal. Or if I even think you might end up not paying me."
His soft yet harsh voice would have been barely audible even to his group, and any others in the area wouldn't have been able to hear a word. At his words , Elisabeth let out a chuckling laugh, "My good sir, who do you think controls the purse strings on an exiled captain of the guard?" Surely he wasn't so foolish as to not do research on his employers. If he was she would have serious doubts about Alexanders faith in this man.
"dear man, there are so many ways to get rid of rubbish that I'm sure you can well imagine" her voice now having a ring of steel. Her family wasn't the cleanest in the kingdom and she had no compunctions about suing her connection to get rid of anyone who would pose a threat to Alexander or his plans. "all this fuss over helping with a few simple bags, such a very petty man you are" her patience was now at a limit. Either he assisted or he didn't, he would not be a threat to Alexander's plan.
Leading the child inside, she spots Ellisandera and waved at the woman, if she wished to join them, she was welcome to but it would remain her choice since she didn't seem to like people in general too much.

V13 Virus "You'd think that I'd be able to leave a place of relaxation with death or violation, you'd think?" He smiled as he slipped behind the screen to dress himself again. "In our helpful caring world where all out needs are tended to." The voice came from behind the curtain, "Fluffy isn't it?" "And I suppose thats why most hired killers throw their emotions to the wind." Rigel laughed out loud at what he had just said, "Of course that view of the world is utter crap." He stepped from behind the curtain fully dressed again. Just tightening the last few buckles on his leggings. "We're all guilty of something." arrow Hefter's HavenMick sighed and tilted his head back, staring at the ceiling. "Yes, I do suppose we're all guilty of something..." The moon mage then slowly brought his head back to its normal position. "And this time, I suppose I'm a little guily of deciet." Mick rose to his feet, the bath water sloshing around his calves. "I was hoping to do this with some clothes on, but you really didn't leave me with much of a choice, since you decided your next move so quickly..." Mick tightened his fists and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "You see, you've made a small mistake. You didn't expect this room to be occupied, but it was. In fact, it just so happened to be occupied with someone who happened to feel very attatched to this bath house and its employees. And I'm afraid I can't allow you to leave this room with the intentions of killing. So..." This was the part Mick loved the most. He moved his puppet wires in his hands to the point where they could be visible to the eye because of the light. "I'll have to change your mind, one way or another." During their conversation, Mick had crept his wires around the room. Now tense, they formed a wall of interlacing wire. "Please, I really don't like doing this kind of stuff, and you seem to be an okay guy, albeit off-balanced." Mick switched from his glare to a big smile. "Whaddya say?"

Marie (It's a little pushing it with the convo, but yeah. Eh, it's Ryvis that's waiting for the father to talk, the others are talking to the girl.) A trio clad in dark clothes wandered through the marketplaces of lab, looking over various things. One, a blond woman seemed to be gathering various supplies, while the other female seemed to be interested in various trinkets, particularly a shiny black ball of obsidian that gave off a noticable dark aura. The older man that was with them didn't seem to be interested in much, but was also examining the pearl. After talking it over fot a while, the black haired girl finally convinced the blond to let her buy the orb.
After a while, the blond went inside of a building to get some things, leaving the black haired girl and the old man alone. As the two waited outside, wandering a little bit, the old man noticed a disturbance. It seened that some dark spirits were distressed about something. he went to find the source, the girl right behind. A short while away, they found the problem. A man was dragging his daughter rather roughly by the arm down the street. Some people were watching as he did so, but said nothing.
"...To the Light Temple. Either we'll cure you of this malady...or we'll find someone to help you control it."
"But...I don't want..."
The old Dark priest looked over at the temple of light in the distance. "...that's no good..." Ryvin murmured, stepping in front of the man, the black haired girl following. "You shouldn't be so angry at your daughter's blessing, and what is the light temple going to do? They deal with Light and all that. She needs someone of her own element to train her." While Rvyis dealt witht he father, the blue eyed girl decided to appeal to the child.
Estella looked at the nervous girl who was protesting being dragged to the temple. "You obviously do not wish to go to the Light temple, though I doubt your father would want you going to the Dark temple." she said to the girl. "If the problem is controlling the power, then we can help you with that." She smiled warmly at the girl. "Don't let your gift go to waste, sealed up by some Light mage."
It was at this time that Marie exited the shop and looked for her two associates. Seeing them down the street with a few people looking at them, she hurried over, calling out to the other two. "What's going on?" "Oh, Lady Marie." Estella said, noticing the blond girl come up. "this girl is a Dark mage. He father wants to take her to the Light temple, against her will, but Ryvis is trying to convince him otherwise. I think she should come with us. We can take her back home to be raised."
The pretty and friendly looking blond looked over at the girl. "Is this so? Though, we cannot just take you. Would you like to come with us?" Marie turned to the father. "More importantly, are you willing to let your daughter come with us?"

Ellisandra rose up from her chair, leaving her cup of water behind on the table. She didn't like the looks on her associates faces and wanted to find out what was going on, before something stupid happened. She walked in a slow pace in no hurry looking to Elisabeth and the Mercenary, who Ellisandra didn't bother to learn the name of. They had the more aggravated looks so she guessed it was something between those two.
Elly bowed her head slightly to Elizabeth "Hello madam, how are thou?" She smiled to the little girl trying to act friendly and tryed to keep that smile while chatting with Elizabeth, she wasnt use to smiling and it was uncomfortable.

Espa lowered herself into the water. She wasn't totally unarmed; she still had a large hunting knife strapped to her left thigh. She had recovered some of her mental faculties however she wasn't up to par as she normally would be. As the water relaxed her muscles, Espa was ready to spring to Mick's aid should he need it.

Rigel indulged his crazed reaction to grab for his knife.
Then the side effect of the drug he had just taken began to set in. The fog of insanity began to part slightly and a few lights of reason began to shine in.
He silently cursed the side effect as he relaxed his attacking stance.
"You see, I know you know I'm a hired hit." He began to talk to the bathing stranger, "And I know you're not a moral crusader. Honesty, there isn't a ton of paladins around here."
"I may be a psychopath, but I'm not a stupid one." He grinned, "Assassins that rush into combat without thinking often come down with a bad case of dead."
"I don't know if you really are unarmed. You could have concealed weapons, or maybe your a martial artist, perhaps you have flashy spells." Rigel chuckled again, "Or maybe you just have large attributes you plan to beat me into submission with, I really don't know."
"We both don't want to die here, the only difference is you don't want others to die here either." All the sense Rigel was making was aggravating.
"Now, there are two options. We don't cause a riot," He toyed with the hilt of his sheathed dagger, "Or we cause one."

Mick didn't move, but rolled his eyes. "You mean there aren't a ton of paladins. I may not be a paladin, true, but I show no fear in front of grammar." Mick huffed at his joke. "And concealed weapons? I've pretty much lost any methods of concealment, no offense to your analyzing. You could at least toss me my underwear." Mick hunched that he wouldn't be seeing his clothes too soon, but there was always wishful thinking.
"And how would we be causing a riot?"
Mick quickly realized how much he now regretted asking that question.

"Is that what you do?" Rigel grinned as he edged over to Mick's underclothes, "Make light of the situation?"
He picked up Micks unmentionables and tossed them to him. If he had to kill this man his only safe opening would be when he was occupied putting on his shorts. Rigel casually kicked over a pair of pants as well; it was harder to abort operation one leg in.
"And there would be reasons for a riot, but panic is a backup plan." Rigel let out a mock sigh, "The fun ones are always in reserve."
"But as of yet I haven't a reason to kill you or anybody else in this bathhouse." He pawed at the hilt of the dagger a tiny bit more to emphasize his points, "But we all have bad habits. And if one of yours is meddling, I'll cure you of it. Most likely by curing you of your addiction to oxygen at the same time."

Mick stepped out of the bath as the hitman moved towards his clothes. He's going to make his move... "Well," Mick said with a grin, "it's kept me alive thus far, so why change my ways now?"
The moon mage released an inner sigh of relief when the hitman's "move," also known as tossing Mick some clothes, was made. Let's see, I know I can wiggle out of pants, but can I wiggle into them, as well?
Mick shifted his weight to one foot, using the free foot to drag his shorts and pants closer. He then stepped into them, the clothes now a little wet and left at his ankles. Great plan, Mick old boy, now you're going to fall flat on your face and then get killed...
"I'm glad you don't have a reason to kill me, because I'm likewise." Mick remained at the ready. "But you should know very well that sometimes the winds of reason will shift." Winds of reason will shift? What the hell??
Mick tensed up, tightening his grip on the wire cage. "Is that your choice? Curing me of my "disease"? Many a crazier man than you have tried, but, as you can see, I'm still here."
Mick was now hoping that all the books about method acting were going to pay off and that his bluff sounded reasonably plausible. If it didn't... well...
He'd have to do what he'd have to do, and hate being in debt to the Hefter bath house again.

"Now, two distinct options here." Rigel held his fingers up, "Not counting killing each other of course."
"I can continue along my path unhampered by you, thus letting me out of the building, thus being good for me." He grinned, "And in this situation I don't gut you, making it good for you."
"And I may not kill anybody." He created a look of fake innocence, "I'll even give up on the bathhouse girls refuse the honest charming techniques. You'd appreciate that right?"
"Option two is I have to use my backup plan. Less convenient for me you see." He shrugged, "I'll have to run back through all the rooms I came here to the laundry exit, wait until somebody slips out to discard used linins and then leave."
"Or we could try and gut each other. I'm sure we can figure out some way to have fun no matter what option we decide on."
