Reira laughed. "It sounds fun, but it's been so long that I might need lessons myself!"
Waikiki Keanu looked over the boards. He picked out a dark one and set his hands on it as he said his greeting. The sun had made it warm because of its shade. "I'm Waikiki Keanu. But most people call me Keanu!"

Hula bob chuckled. "Alright little dude and dudette. Stand on it to get used to the feeling. Then rock with your hips." Hula Bob then showed them what he ment. "This is to get it off land first."
Tiki Jim shook his head and nodded. "Well, well, I think you should then. I'm meet you out there." With that he stole a kiss from Reira's cheek. Tiki Jim then grabbed a board and went out on the water.
Waikiki KiKi looked at her great grandpa and then did what he said. She rocked her hips and moved a little more then what was needed. "Hee hee this is fun!"

Reira stood there for a moment, with a look that said But, my babies! before letting out a sigh that finished the thought: ...are just fine with their great-grandfather. She grabbed a board herself and followed Tiki Jim, a determined smile on her face. There wasn't much wind today, but the slight breeze was in her favor. If she cheated a bit, she might be able to catch up.
Waikiki Keanu also mimicked Hula Bob. At first, he moved too much and nearly fell. And he wasn't even in the water yet! But then he started to get the hang of it. He had a very determined look on his face, and his eyes focused on his feet.

"Awesome. I think you have the hang of it. Now bring your boards to the water. You must try it in the shallows first. Don't want to fall off in deep water." Hula Bob told the twins as he moved his board in.
Waikiki KiKi watched and then drug her's over. "This is fun, huh Keanu?" she asked her brother in a sweet tone.
Tiki Jim watched from his point on the lake. The kids were doing okay and Reira was following him. He chuckled as he began to surf. It was a nice day for it.

Waikiki Keanu tried to pick up his board and carry it to the water's edge, even though it was considerably bigger than he was. "We already learned to swim," he told Hula Bob. In his mind, he could handle deep water just fine, but his mother had told him to listen to their great-grandpa. Looking over to his sister, he nodded. "Mmhmm." His eyes trailed out to where his father was surfing and his mother was following along a bit behind. "I want to surf as good as Dad!" he told his sister.
Reira finally (after what seemed like an eternity to her) caught up with Tiki Jim. She sat for a minute and looked back to where the kids were, both to make sure they were okay and to catch her breath. "Here goes nothing..." she commented to herself, standing up on the board to surf through a smaller wave. Surfing didn't feel as foreign as she was expecting it to.

Waikiki KiKi giggled. "Me too!" She then sat on her board. The girl then stood the best she could. It was a bit harder to get balance then she thought it would.
Hula Bob nodded to Waikiki Keanu. "Yes, but this is just to get you ready. Everything takes small steps." He nodded and then watched KiKi. "Awesome!"
Tiki Jim surfed until he was near Reira. "There you go. You look totally awesome!" He winked at her.

Waikiki Keanu also tried to stand on his board. It took a moment for him to find his balance, but he figured out that he had use his hips like he'd learned to do on land and just move with the waves. "This isn't so hard, is it?" he asked his sister with a grin.
Reira looked up with a slight blush, her attention broken from surfing. Of course, in such a sport, it only takes a moment of distraction to lose one's balance, and into the water Reira went. She had to admit, even though she had fully expected to wipe out, doing so in front of her children was a bit embarrassing. "Tiji!" she whined, pulling herself back up onto the surfboard.
((EDIT!: Would you like to address the storm(p.3592) in here? It would certainly be interesting with some of their powers. But then again, wouldn't at least Hula Bob be practical and say 'hey, it's not safe to surf in this weather!'? I would like the twins to learn, still. Maybe it can just be starting to roll in? *shrug* I can go either way, just thought I'd mention it. ))

((We could wait till they are out there. This way they get to surf first? I need to try Waikiki KiKi's power.))
Tiki Jim chuckled and then he fell in. He swam over to her pulling his board along. "You okay?" He asked with a soft voice hoping she wasn't hurt or anything.
Waikiki KiKi giggle as she got it to work as well. It was fun and she liked it. "This is...awesome." He repeated what everyone in her family liked to say.
Hula Bob smiled. "Okay you two you can go out in the water. But don't go as far as your parents. You need to stay close to me. That way you stay awesome and no bummer." He chuckled as he went a bit out, but not too far.

((Works for me!))
"I'm fine," she replied with a bit of a giggle. "You're just too distracting!" She leaned forward to steal back her kiss from his lips. Then she pulled herself up onto her board, looking back for a moment with a coy smile.
"Very awesome!" Waikiki Keanu replied, his boyish laugh escaping. He paddled out into the water a little bit and tried to stand, but it was harder than he expected and he fell into the water with a splash. Unfazed, he climbed back onto his board to try again.

Tiki Jim chuckled and kissed her back. Then he climbed back up onto his board. He just sat there for a moment taking it all in. "It's a great day for it...though I don't like the looks of that." He pointed to the dark herizon.
Waikiki KiKi stay up for a bit then fell in. After she got back on her board she sat there. She watched the small waves her board made. Then she smiled and one small one became a bird like Hula bob's. It didn't last too long.
ula Bob surfed rather slowly. He was watching over the children in case they didn't do well. So far so good. He was glad. His family seemed to have a nack for it.

Reira was about to stand on her board again when she heard Tiki Jim. "What?" she asked, looking back to him and following along the path that he was pointing. She certainly didn't see dark clouds like those around here very often. She simply stared for a moment, letting the smaller waves push her and the board. There was just something a little creepy about them... She brushed off the feeling and looked back at the twins. "I guess we'll just have to enjoy our time out here while the weather's still good." She turned her attention back to surfing, but tried to keep an eye on the clouds. She wouldn't want to be out in the middle of the lake if the bad weather did roll in..
Waikiki Keanu gave it a few more tries, getting just a little bit better each time. It was fun, even if he did keep falling in. After a while, though, he joined his sister to see what she was doing. "Wow, that wave looked like a bird!" he commented, not realizing that she had any control over it.

Hula bob then noticed it as well. "Aloha! You think we should go in?" He called to his grandson and granddaugher-in-law. He was thinking the same as Reira. Didnt want to get them hurt.
"What do you think Reira?" He asked as he stood on his board. Just a little surf first. He waved to Hula Bob as in he wasn't sure just yet.
Waikiki KiKi giggled and looked to her brother. "Yeah, that was cool. what was it?" She didn't see the clouds or anything like that. She was more concered with this development.

Reira looked back at the clouds again. They were getting close more quickly than she had expected, and the wind was picking up. "We should probably go back..." She replied. still, she couldn't resist just a bit of fun, and she focused on the wind at her back as she made sure her feet stayed grounded on the board. The storm winds were faster than the normal breezes around the island, and the feeling of using her power while surfing reminded her of the times she spent out on the lake as a teen. She knew safety came first, though, and she began to head back toward shore.
"I don't know..." he replied, watching for another little wave to look like something other than... well, a wave. Then he heard a strange sound and looked around. The sky looked funny, and it seemed like the sound was coming from above. He didn't want to let it show, especially with his sister right there, but he felt a little nervous, and he wanted to go back to shore. "Hey, Kiki..." he commented. "The sky's making a weird noise, kind of like..." He clapped his hands, and all of a sudden he was back in the shallowest water, right by the coast. He heard an echo like the sound he was hearing before, and looked around, quite startled.

Hula Bob got to shore first. He was closer then Tiki Jim was. "Well, I hope you had an awesome time even if it was short." With that the rain began to pour down. Hula Bob thought it odd.
Waikiki KiKi giggled and then her brother was gone. She looked around until she saw him in the other water. Leaving his board she went to shore with her's. "What was that?" She asked him as she walked over to their great grandpa. She then looked up to the rain.
Tiki Jim surfed in and found the board. He pulled it to shore and walked over to the others. "It's raining. We better go." He told them. He looked out to see Reira, making sure she was coming.

Waikiki Keanu shrugged. "I don't know, I just clapped and got here!" He looked out to see the rain, and his parents getting back to shore "Dad, Dad! Did you see what I did?" He asked, jumping up and down in his excitement. He didn't really give the rain a lot of thought, except to think that he kind of liked it.
Reira wasn't far behind, and joined up quickly with her family. "Yes, let's get going," she agreed. A clap of thunder caused her to jump, but she did her best to hide her surprise, scooting toward Tiki Jim a bit and brushing the wet bangs from her face. "Think we can make it back home in all of this?"
