Outside Merlin’s House
Roxas felt Namine’s fingers thread through his and he too tightened their hold. Despite everything that was happening… the Heartless… Greed… everything… Despite all of that he was happy. He was here with Namine. Just them. Well, Leon was still here but since when did he care anyway?
The boy turned to Namine. “That’s okay. I’m sure Sora can take care of everything.” He smiled. “I was once him, remember?”
He paused then. All going together… Well, he was mostly interested in staying with Namine but Roxas did not want to leave his friends either. They were all important to him, the new and the old.
“I… I dunno… Leon?”
Outside Merlin’s House
It was like there was too much going on in his mind right now. Try as he might, Leon could not relax… he could not ease his mind. So much had happened in so little time. He was able to find that log between Sloth and Pride on the internet so he was lucky there. But he found something else.
’Rinoa…’
If Rinoa was around, what about everyone else? Quistis… Zell… Selphie… everyone. It has been so long.
Roxas’ voice brought Leon back to the present. He was only half listening to their conversation at the time.
“Probably not,” he answered. “We’ll have to split everybody up.” The man made his way to the door. “Send anyone who comes by into the house, then come in yourselves, okay?”
And then he shut the door behind him.

"Alright, let's go then!" Kairi smiled, well, atleast nothing bad happened when she was gone...or so it seemed anyway. I mean, Sora wouldn't keep anything from her, right?
She waved Xemnas over to them, "We're going to visit some more friends, ok?"
Merlin's House
Funny how fast information spreads across the internet.
He was back. Alive.
Sephiroth.
Aerith had to sit down. She was in too much shock. No....how could he be back!? Cloud defeated him....several times! How!? Why!?
Kadaj and Yazoo were back as well...with no memories. That didn't worry her too much at the moment. Aerith had talked to Cloud several times earlier about him, she tried to seem calm so she wouldn't worry him, but it was hard.
Very hard.
Cloud brought it up. Her death. Before she was brought to this world...she was killed by Sephiroth. The lifestream from her world brought her to Radiant Garden. Not too many people knew this. Only her closest friends from her world.
"I'm....scared." she whispered to herself, very careful that Cloud didn't hear.
How many more people would die before the one winged angel was finally defeated?
That was her main concern, the people of Radiant Garden and other worlds. Sephiroth always left destruction in his wake.
Would he try to destory this planet? Like he tried to destory her own?
And Cloud....he would go away again. Away to risk it all again. Aerith bit her lip and tried to hold back her tears. He just got home....He just got back from defeating him! They were finally happy! It's not fair!

Merlin's House
Cloud immediatly took his sword from where he'd left it and brought it to the wall that he leaned against.
Did fate really hate him that much? He'd defeated Sephiroth a matter of four times. How many more before he just stayed dead? How many more times before he stayed a memory?
"I will....never be a memory." The voice rang in Cloud's head. Sephiroth has said it.
No, just shut up! Get out of my head! The blonde thought angrily. He couldn't let his mind drift to bad memories. He couldn't get distracted. He frowned slightly. Kadaj and Yazoo were back too.
Just after everything started to look alright, too! Cloud suddenly found that he was just as worried as he was angry. Tifa. Aerith. Vincent. Yuffie. Barret. Marlene. Denzel. Leon. Everyone. All his friends. He didn't want anyone hurt. He knew that most everyone would help him fight, but he knew it was his fight. Sephiroth was his enemy. His darkness. Cloud knew he'd have to end up leaving everyone to defeat him again, but he didn't want to! He wanted to stay with everyone. He wanted to know everything was alright.
....But it wasn't, was it?
Cloud glanced at Aerith. How was she taking it? Sephiroth had...had killed her before. She had to be anxious. She had to be worried, probably frightened. His gaze lingered. How could she seem so brave? He knew what was inside her. He knew her well enough. There was a small part of him, though he wouldn't admit it, that was afraid.
What if he lost? Sephiroth would kill him. He couldn't lose. There was too much at stake. Cloud pushed the thought from his head. This was no time to get antsy. He was going to have to fight Sephiroth, and he was just going to have to win.
Cloud walked over to Aerith. Would she let him help her? He hoped so. He really did. The blonde didn't want her to feel like she did, and wanted to help.
"Aerith? Are you alright?" Cloud asked lightly, his voice clearly worried.
Merlin's House
Axel had half-zoned out when he heard the clatter of plates. YES. FOOD. He scrambled up and into the nearest chair. He grabbed the fork, attempting several times with the tips on how to eat the spaghetti, and finally managed. Once he got th ehang of it, it was gone fast.

"Sure you did..." Xigbar said after Riku tried to give his excuses. The gunner laughed softly as he tilted his head to the side.
"... Why... NO." Xigbar shook his head upon hearing what Riku had to say. "I will not! I'm so close, Riku..." Xigbar's eyes narrowed as he stood up and teleported off, running as he did so.
He was gone before anybody could give a shout of complaint.
(( Let him go because I'm writing a big ol story post where he's gonna get his journal back and then come back probably cying. Xiggy... heart ))

Yuffie silently prayed that everyone would take their sweet time in getting to Merlin's house: she needed a good cry and didn't want for it to happen in front of the reason for it. How the hell was I supposed to know he was taken?? Now I feel really stupid. And dirty. And just....ARGH!!!! Someone should start labeling guys with their dating status so there's no confusion, because I feel like s**t right now... She pulled her knees to her chest, tucked them under her chin, and began to silently weep. Screw-up No. 3,987 for the Stupid Ninja Yuffie...thirteen more and it's an even 4,000.
At least one thing was keeping her from completely falling apart on the street. Around the same time she made her startling revelation, she also learned that there were other survivors from her world, many of which she knew. Reno's alive...he's always good for a fight...or an easy a**-whuping...Sephiroth and his goons are around....but we can kill them again, no problem.... She mentally reviewed her old group of friends, her mood lightening at the possibility they could all be alive. After five minutes, her eyes dried a bit and she began to feel more like her old self.
I hope that....when we're all split up.....I get to go back home....

Stitch scuttled ahead of Marluxia into the house when he was put down, the smell of food playing a major part in luring the tiny summon in. Unfortunately, pets were not allowed to sit at the table, and considering Stitch's size - or lack thereof, really - he settled for scampering over to the strange person with the blue hair, who was still currently cooking something that smelt really good.
Nudging against the young man's leg, Stitch made snuffling, hopeful noises; hopeful meaning he hoped that he didn't have to bite anyone to get something to eat.

Sora had figured that there was no point in telling Kairi about what had happened with One. He knew that she would be worried, and the boy really didn't want to affect her evidently good mood. It had been awhile since he had seen the redhead really happy, and he was determined to keep it that way.
Upon reaching Merlin's house, and a grin grew on his face as he spotted Roxas, and Namine outside. He had heard from Leon on the webs that Namine was with them, and he was glad that she was safe, which meant that Roxas really wasn't about to kill him and feed him to Stitch.
"Hey, guys!" Sora called as he jogged over to them, smiling broadly. It had been awhile since he'd seen Roxas, and he was glad to see them again.

In the hallway of the restoration site, near the Bailey
Riku scrambled to his feet, vainly reaching out as if to catch the back of Xigbar's shirt, but the surfer was gone even before he could take a breath. "Xigbar..." he said with a sigh.
He perched his hands on his hips and considered his options. He could chase Xigbar, assuming he was right and the other man had returned to the computer room. But he might be wrong, and if his energy were to abruptly run out on the way there, he'd be very screwed. Or he could go to Merlin's House and wait up for Xigbar there, assuming he returned any time soon.
"Sounds like my mind's made up for me," he muttered. He shook his head, turning to face the Bailey. "Here we go..." He started off, wandering through the Bailley before clambering up the wreckage to approach the Borough. As he got to the open walkway, he wobbled a little and braced his hand against the railing. He staggered a few more paces forward and winced, falling to his knees and then shifting to sit more comfortably. "Oog. Maybe I wasn't quite ready to walk so much. If Sora finds out he's gonna kill me," he added with a laugh. He sat for a moment, relaxing and trying to get back enough of his energy to carry him to Merlin's House, which he thought he saw down over one roof below the walkways.

"Hey, Roxas...how's it going?"
Seifer tried to control his desire to fight when he saw the spiky-haired blond teen. Their on-line flame battle had been dormant for sometime now, with neither boy appearing to want to revive it again, but he still felt a bit on edge. Now that I'm in the middle of nowhere in a battle with....freaks....I REALLY don't want to pick fights with people who could potentially save my a**....in the rare chance I get in trouble. He tightened his grip on the handle of the struggle club, ready to retaliate at anything the other boy said. I REALLY hope he holds up his end of the deal....
Taking a deep breath, he looked over the stone building the group had stopped at. There was nothing WRONG with it in his eyes, but he couldn't shake the feeling of dread he had about going inside. My destiny is going to be set in this room......I don't feel like cooperating with Destiny..but I think I lost that privilege when I hopped on Sora's ship. Stepping away, he motioned towards the door like a side show barker showing off his main attraction. "Ladies and people who have been here first....don't want the new kid getting lost, now."

Quite aware of Saix's eyes on her, Tifa turned back to him and nodded, flashing him a smile, which widened at the sight of Aerith's and Cloud's entrance.
Holding hands, huh?
She was glad for them, truly; the look on Aerith's and Cloud's faces were priceless, and Tifa silently wished them all the happiness in the world. If there was ever a couple who deserved something like that, it was the both of them.
Meeting their eyes, Tifa's smile broadened a little more, before it faded slightly, her eyes shifting to the one person whom she cared for like a sister.
Yuffie.
Setting the plates down and making her way to the saddened girl, Tifa frowned and crouched down next to her, worried.
"Yuffie," she said softly even as she pulled the girl into a warm, comforting hug. In all the excitement that had happened earlier, Tifa did not notice her sadness, and now that she did.... "Yuffie," she murmured quietly, patting the other girl's back. "What's the matter?"
Of course, she knew much better than to ask if she was all right; it was clear as day that she wasn't, and the dark-haired young woman wondered at it. Yuffie had always been exuberant and happy; what had made her so upset?

Food for him felt like a brief five minutes. It was easy for him to lose himself in the food as he was quick to clear his place. His stomach was happy! Now all that was needed was some well-needed rest.
Looking over at Sora, he blinked. More new people?! ******** many relations did these weirdos have around here with eachother?
"Uh, hi." He said shortly, waving his hand before he leaned back in his chair. This dinner didn't feel complete, somehow. Either it was just him, or some people were missing. I must be an idiot right now... He thought sadly to himself. There must be someone kissing...But who? Naw! This is fine, Xaldin. You're just being stupid from being so tired. Yeah...that has to be it! Xaldin concluded in his mind. Yeah. One big freaky thought. Nothing else, right?
He watched Ienzo cook, and once the amazing pasta was done with he started to cook more food. He was fine with just the Spaghetti, but he figured some others were still starved. He heard Tifa before. Did that mean Saïx was going to eat almost totally raw mean? He couldn't imagine what it would taste like. But then again, it was Saïx taste in food, not his. So he had say in it.
Merlin's House
Sora came in, so did another he didn't know. Must have been that Seifer person he met online. No matter. He didn't care to pay attention to the wanna-be fighter. (Poor Seifer! *hugs him*)
Anger shot through him at the sight of Sora. He hated to be mad right now, but he hid it well. "Hey, Sora. Where's Kairi and Demyx?" Saïx asked him with a smile. If you ditched them I'll surely rip your arms off, Keyblade Bearer or not.
Saïx had never felt so angry in his life! He read of two different stories. One of Sora being with Kairi, but then hearing a totally different relationship that was also totally different genders. It angered him. Kairi was his first friend besides Xaldin, so he was clearly being overprotective of the Princess of Heart more than he could possibly want to. He couldn't help it, it was in his animalistic part of his nature that refused to let such nonsense upset the girl. He was unsure if she was happy or not for them, but he had a feeling she had something for Kairi back in the World That Never Was and when he saw the cave drawings in Destiny Island.
If what the rumors hold true, I'll make sure Sora apologizes for misleading Kairi. Saïx hissed quietly to himself. He had spoke with Roxas the other night, who also disagreed with Sora's behavior. He just hoped Sora would get his a** on more so that him and Roxas could show Sora the light and the error of his choice.

Quite amused at the other boy's words, Sora felt a smile cross his lips as he hung back slightly, waiting for the rest of them to catch up. Blinking slightly at Saix's appearance, Sora turned back to look at Kairi, who was just a couple of paces behind him to make sure that she was really there, then turned back to Saix once again, quite confused at the unexpected question.
Kairi wasn't a ghost, right?
"She's uh...right behind me?" Demyx was too, for the record. Frowning a little, he turned back to look at them once again, making sure that they weren't just figments of his imagination. Yep, they were there. In the flesh.
And why did Saix have such a creepy smile?

Outside Merlin's House
A lot of people were slowly starting to pour into Merlin’s home. Must be really crowded in there… Roxas knew very well that he and Namine would have to break away from the peace and quiet outside soon enough and join the others but he could enjoy it while it lasted, right?
But his peace and quite with Namine was cut short.
The boy jumped when he heard another voice. He knew that voice… it was all too familiar. Roxas turned to find Sora in company with Kairi, Xemnas, and Seifer. ((Is that everyone with him?)) Despite all the times he spoke with him online, this was the first time Roxas had spoken with Sora in person… ever since he got his own heart. The situation should have been awkward but it wasn’t … for whatever reason that might be… Maybe that was a sign of how they were still connected.
”Hey Sora,” Roxas grinned right back. An identical grin. Suddenly, he remembered something that he should be angry about. Sora let Namine run off on her own with no protection. Something could have happened to her! Roxas really needed to give his double the one two… but not now. Not in front of Namine. He would have to do that when she wasn’t around.
But then the other voice. Blue eyes snapped over to the tallest boy ((Unless you counted Xemnas)) in the group. Seifer. Their squabble of the internet was still very clear in Roxas’ mind. He had promised to resolve it though and he was sure going to be the good man and hold up his promise. Should Seifer start some thing though...
Well, now that he thought about it, this was the real Seifer. Maybe he was different from DiZ’s version. But if he was, that meant Hayner, Pence, and Olette were different too. Some of his only friends… they couldn’t be different, could they?
“Of course, Seifer,” Roxas forced up a smile before making his way, with Namine still in hand, through the door.
Was the food he smelled? Since when were they making food?

"Yuffie, what's the matter?"
Without warning, Tifa had moved over and hugged Yuffie, causing the petite ninja to shake with fear. When she realized it was only one of her friends, she calmed down a bit, almost too much; the tears begun to flow again. She turned around and gingerly hugged the older woman back around the shoulders, embarrassed that she had worried her friend to this degree. Here I go again.....being stupid....
"I'm sorry to scare you Tifa..." she whispered as she cried. "I've just been really stupid recently....really blind and really stupid..." She wept for a few more minutes, then pulled away from her friend and attempted to dry her face with her hands. "Thank you....I'll be better soon....I hope...."
"....Do want to hear something good, though?" She tried to force a smile, but it wasn't as successful as she had hoped. "....I talked to Reno the other day. He's alive....maybe the others are okay, too."

Helping to wipe away the tears from her friend's cheeks and trying to make sense of her words, Tifa frowned slightly, her hands on the girl's shoulders.
"You don't have to apologize to me, Yuffie." she responded firmly, her frown easing into a gentle smile. She didn't know what had happened, but whatever it was...Yuffie would probably tell her alot later, when she was truly feeling better.
Taking in her next words, the older woman was mildly surprised at the news. Reno was alive? And the others...? Nodding, her smile widened, garnet eyes sparkling. "Well then, that's a good thing, isn't it? Now," her tone became brisk as she pretended to be stern. "Go and have your dinner now, Yuffie, before it gets cold and Ienzo has to heat it up for you again."
Rising as she got to her feet, she extended a hand to her friend, tilting her head slightly. "Coming?"

Aerith shook her head, "No.....I can't say I am." she looked up at the blond, her eyes were watering again. "I'm scared, Cloud....for everyone, for the people of this planet...our friends...you. I'm scared. It's different from the other times he's been back, this time...he might know I'm here. I don't know what's going to happen and I'm really scared." Aerith buried her face in Cloud's shirt and cried.
Yuffie and Tifa didn't seem too worried, did they even know...? She wasn't sure. If they did, how could they be so clam...? Were they used to it? Everytime Sephiroth came back Aerith worried and worried. How could they be so calm..? She envied them. She really did.
She wanted to leave Radiant Garden for the first time in years, she wanted to get far away from him. So he couldn't hurt her or her friends ever again.
But she knew she couldn't do that...she couldn't leave and let the people of Radiant Garden deal with him by themselves. No, she would have to try to swallow her fear and help.
And that would be very hard.

Kairi had followed Sora inside, and waved to the crowd. "Hi Saix!" she walked over to him, "I haven't seen you in a while, how've you been?" the redhead smiled, Saix looked fairly happy...well, as happy as Saix gets. She had read on the messageboards about him and Tifa. It sounded like things were good.
But there was some anger in his voice, when he talked to Sora. She could tell. Kairi had gotten to know him enough to tell when the beserker was angry. "Huh? What's wrong? Did Sora do something...?"
If Sora had gotten in trouble or did something...he would tell her...right?
