Josie looked up at the sound of another kit. Laquea, was it? he was quiet. Hmm...
After finishing her meal, Josie trotted back to the carcass and smiled at Laqueta. They hadn't really met... "Hi there. We don't really know each other, even though you've lived here in my pride for awhile." she wrinkled her nose, but kept smiling slightly, "Why are you all quiet and stuff? It's weird."

She had been taking a drink, before the familiar roar startled her slightly. She recognised the tone, but she still wasn't used to how strong it had gotten, since Kai had grown. Xiah streached away from the water, cracking her head back lightly, her medallion hitting the ground softly.
A moment later, she padded over to Kai, stopping near him. "Hey." She said softly, continueing to smile in the process. She nosed him lightly, wanting to rest her head in his mane, but,... with others, namely Shaitani so close, she fought against the urge.

"Hey," he said with a bigger smile now, then leaned close to whisper in her ear so his father wouldn't hear, "When do you thikn we should tell...?" He learned back and grinned at her as he gave a quick glance up at his father, who wasn't even paying attention.

She continued to smile, then blushed slightly, turning her head into her own shoulder, trying to brush away the blush, which she did. "Whenever you feel it'd be right..." She whispered back to him.

His smile seemed to widen at her blush, "Whenever... I odn't think we need to keep it secret any longer." He winked and glanced up at his dad. He obviously wasn't busy...

Miao Xiah nodded. "Alright." she swallowed, continueing to smile. Perhaps now, the Sakura Dragon could actually, openly, show her love for Kai Liu, without having to worry about others seeing them... If she was upset, she could burry her head in his mane, or cry on his shoulder. Lean on him if tired or weak, and talk to him if she hurt inside. These thoughts, made her smile widen slightly.

He nudged her lightly with a wink, then started around to climb the cliff, meeting his dad at the top. "Dad?" He asked, but waited for Xiah to say anything more.
Shaitani looked over to him with a yawn - had had just started to doze off... "Yes?"

She smiled dimly, bowing her head down to Shaitani. "King Shaitani." She raised her head a moment later, scratching her back paw with the other. It's true, she was alittle nervous,... about what Shaitani would think,... of her, a meerly, everyday Pride member,... in love with his son, and his son loving her back. Oh, she did love Kai,... loved him greatly. Since she was little. He was her first real friend...

Shaitani bow his head slightly to the greeting from Xiah, and eyed the pair suspiciously. What were they up to?
Kai smiled at his father, then glanced at Xiah before finally speaking. He had a feeling that he would have to say it - his father was pretty scary... "Dad, Xiah and I.... um..." He paused a moment, trying to think what else to say. "We love each other very much and with your blessings, are mates." He finished the sentence and puffed out his chest slightly to show that he wasn't just fooling around, then nudged Xiah lightly.

Xiah nodded at her love's words. "It's true, when we say that we really do love eachother greatly. I don't beleave I could have found someone better than your son." She added, purring softly at the nudge, nosing him back lightly.

Shaitani eyed the couple for a moment, looking briefly into both of their eyes, working to sense a lie from either of them. Finding none, he gave a small smile to them both and nodded, "Of course you have my blessings, Kai and Xiah. I can't stop you if you truely love each other." He stood and nuzzled both of them.
Kai grinned as his father spoke, and nuzzled Xiah, then his father as he nuzzled him. "Thank you!"

Max wandered the forest area, looking for any signs of other lion prides. Or just any lions at all. He had been wandering these lands for a few weeks now, though it felt like months.
Max weaved through the trees as well as he possibly could until he saw a cave. He stopped and bent down into some brush, which made him feel safer. He could hear voices, from the cave. And he knew almost instantly that there was a pride there. He had dreamed of joining a pride for as long as he could remember, though... He didn't really know what would be a good way to meet the king.
Max sat up slowly, deciding that he should first call intention to him self. He took a deep breath in then let out with a mighty roar.

Shaitani looked out over his land a moment, brow furrowing at the roar, "work waits not for love," he gurnted, and bounded down the cliffside with a final smile to his son and his son's new mate. (New?) He then greeted the black, purple and white lion with a roar as he neared, and slowed and trotted over ot him, examining him a moment before speaking, "What brings you to the borders of my lands?" he said in that dark voice that seeped from behind his stony mask.

Max watched the king run towards him and examine him. He straited up as he replied, " I was kicked from my pack and now am looking for a new. A new to commit my loyalty and strength, and some times maybe even wisdom". He tried not to look nervous under the kings heavy watch.

Laqueta chewed her food slowly watching her sister approach, and actually raised an eyebrow at her question. Finally swallowing, she chuckled. "Your pride? It's Dad's pride, Josie. And...I usually don't have anyone to speak to, or much of a reason to voice my opinion. Not like anyone around here is going to ask me what I think about things." Except maybe Regius...he was the first one to ever actually think that she mattered, her first friend. Her eyes took on a faraway look for a moment as she thought about him again, and took another bite of meat. She'd gotten in the habit lately to spend time in the place she'd met him, and wanted to get back in case he came...
